Secretary of State Marco Rubio appears with Maria Bartiromo to discuss the big picture of what is possible and what challenges remain as President Trump tries to negotiate a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia.
Keep in mind as we watch all these interviews by Rubio, it was only about six months ago when the U.S Secretary of State admitted the Ukraine conflict was a proxy war between the U.S and Russia. With President Trump extracting the U.S. from that entanglement, NATO and the EU have stepped in to retain the conflict. WATCH:
.

And he also admitted to Megyn Kelly that this is no longer a unipolar world. That was a big admission and positively received around the world.
This is the only video I watched. Beginning to warm up to Rubio, can’t stand the CBS, NBC, ABC interviewers — A gaggle of shrews.
Maria Bartiromo was the only one to wish Marco Rubio success tomorrow. The ‘gaggle of shrews’ by questions, tone and body language showed a strong bias against everything President Trump is working for.
They are not on our side.
Maria does a great job with her interviews. She is the only one left on Fox that I care to watch anymore.
The rest of the MSM I could not care less.
I prefer to see the articles that Sundance posts and any video selections that he may like to attach.
I’m not suggesting any gender-neutrality here, but who’s to say that Sundance is a “he”…? Did I miss something?
He’s a dude. There’s pics of him on this site in a couple articles. There’s also third party reporting on him if you google.
The “Money Honey” is, and always has been terrific!
Laura Ingram is straight to the point. Jesse Waters does good too. Gutfeld is the fun late night show, & pokes fun at himself everyone else, and even outer space aliens (lol)
https://www.foxnews.com/shows/gutfeld
They want him to fail.
He has so exposed them to the American people to what they are that their only consolation is that President Trump fails at everything.
Very sick people.
Likewise! Maria alone!
Sola Maria.
“what challenges remain”
I would venture to say that most of them are a result of the lies promulgated towards the conflict by the “powers that be”.
The more I see him, the more I like him (although he was a member of the SSCI). I suspect he is more MAGA than JD, but I’d still think the MAGA movement can grow under a JD/Rubio administration, with Rubio getting his shot at the WH after JD. Imagine, sixteen years more of straight MAGA. Shoot, let’s tack on another eight years with Gabbard at the helm.
16 years would be wonderful and I’m not saying we shouldn’t push for it.
However, we need a consistent and strong plan for keeping hundreds of wolves at bay in the meantime.
An unspoken point needs to be made plain.
The Dimms cannot be allowed to return to power in just 2026 or 2028.
The Dimms as presently constituted must NEVER be allowed to return to power, ever.
They must be crushed to non existence and if another party arises from the ashes, it will have to be much more centrist than what the Dimms are now.
That’s up to We the (“little”) People, imho!
Don’t forget Eric.
When will Barron be 35?
15 7/12 yrs
I get you, but I think PDJT has Kia (birth May 2007) slotted for that role – 17 years to go – May 2042
IMO, I also don’t want family dynasties in the Oval Office
Interesting statement by Rubio … “I have been on the phone with NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISORS from European Nations” …. have to assume has also spoken with his Secretary of State counterparts as well.
Interesting that Rubio is using BOTH Hats he wears aside from assisting Tulsi’s efforts to clean out the US INTEL Silo’s. This is important to mitigate against US INTEL working behind the scenes to scuttle the efforts to end the war.
Technically, it can not be done. But Trump’s plan with Putin is not only strategic but brilliant.
First, Trump is openly telegraphing, regardless of what Zelensky and the greater E.U. decides, we are out. No more military nor intelligence if they pursue to fight. Trump through his NATO spending requirements and tariffs, has created financial hardship. And with DOGE exposures of how clandestine hush funding from Congress was benefitting much of the radical ideas in Europe, with it gone, another stream of funding is cut off. That is leverage Trump has if they refuse to comply.
Second, many do not understand that Trump simultaneously with Bessent as key strategist, Trump has been waging effective war on the true cartel, the City of London banking cartel. Not only did Trump tease the Deep State as if he might do secondary sanctions, which i believe he never was going to do, but has also hinted that he will remove ALL the sanctions on Russia to allow business to take place. That has been his one bitter pill of his first term and Russia gate. Well, with the tables turning, he has the Deep State under threat in home and abroad
Third. This is all leading up to election rigging and fraud. Patrick Byrne was one Alex Jones recently. They have not only the evidence of machine fraud….the Tina Peter’s case in Colorado, but they have uncovered the mechanism as to how it’s done. In the latest interview, he revealed some new damping info. They have witnesses. They, because of DOGE, have no a chart of money being transferred and used globally to crate the international network and how it was set up. And though China and other actors are involved, our own CIA through super secret high intelligence SAP’s, were helping to manage.
And another chart details this has been happening for over 20 years, and involves elections in 72 other countries.
Patrick Byrne-Shirley you jest.
I basically follow your thoughts here… but there are enough spelling errors and missing letters in your text to create confusion on your points….
Edit maybe?
Sullivan: “We knew Putin had no fear of Joe Biden deciding to do anything meaningful, so we had no leverage to force him to act. Since we had no leverage, we did nothing.
“Hillary Clinton was my mentor. We considered using the Button again, but Pres. Biden couldn’t understand it when I tried to explain it to him. So we didn’t.”
If he was being truthful.
“We considered using the button again …”! Really? They thought they’d offer Russia another “Reset” button and it would resolve this war?!!!!!!
Says everything about the Biden regime.
Martha is looking more and more like a Pekingese every time I see her mug-which thankfully isn’t often
I can see how this guy Sullivan made no progress (assuming they even cared). I have seen rhododendron plants with a higher iq. Slick, smooth, and dumb as a rock.
SPIT!
How long has it been since Con-gress declared war?
WW2.
Funny, that was the last war that we unquestionably won.
Weird.
Maybe there’s something to that.

Unfortunately, I don’t think we really won WWII and I bet Russia believes the same. The EU has become a NAZI like regime with unelected officials, censoring, jailing dissidents, NATO, helping to start Ukraine war and others, Israel, etc. Remember that the NAZIs teamed up with the Muslims in WWII and now Europe is full of them.
Britain is certainly lunging towards a dystopian technocratic authoritarianism at warp speed.
They cant jail their citizens for wrong-think tweets quick enough.
I seem to remember the Seante voting to go to war against North Vietnam after the (phony) Gulf of Tonkin incident. As I remember, the only vote against was Senator Margaret Chase Smith of Maine. Of course my memory seems to have changed over time, like when I remember there is no statute of limitations regarding proven treason or sedition in the Constitution, no matter what Washington lawyers pull out of their collective asses, and that the proper court for trial under the duties of the President as Commander-in-Chief is a military court-martial.
Rubio says he doesn’t believe this is a war that will end by virtue of a surrender. But if these settlement talks are unsuccessful then ultimately that is exactly what will inevitably happen – a surrender, and in particular if the US removes its aid to Ukraine.
Setting aside the Russia/Ukraine conflict for a moment, I believe the face-to-face between Trump and Putin was far more noteworthy.
And probably more helpful.
That’s why the EU caliphate want to join NATO….THEY WANT MORE OF OUR TREASURE And our military Boots on ground…they want US to fight their war(s)…..
Hope Trump walks away and tells them all, it’s your war not our problem
Ugh, I just saw this. Looks like Lindsey Graham is actively trying to throw a wrench into the peace process. Guess he doesn’t like the direction things are going:
https://nypost.com/2025/08/17/us-news/lindsey-graham-threatens-bill-designating-russia-state-sponsor-of-terror-over-kidnapping-of-ukrainian-children/
Lindsey threatening ANYONE regarding children would be a foolish move for him. Too bad he doesn’t know it yet!
If President Trump agrees to put American boots on the ground for Ukraine, it will be his Vietnam. He will have broken the biggest promise he ever made to the American people. And if he does that for a piece of crap like Zelensky and the EU globalists, it will be an unforgivable move.
Played a game when younger called Hopscotch in which you keep jumping on squares until you hop off turn around a come back. A game that can be won quickly or it will take some time. Just wondering if there is going to be any winners in this game the countries are playing.
Maria was as bad as the rest of them with some of her questions.
Of particular note was that there wasn’t a single question about putting sanctions or pressure on Ukraine and the EU to get them to come off of top dead center in this thing. Nor was there a question along the lines of “If Ukraine and the EU remain intransigent, will the President shut off the spigot to Ukraine arms and aid?” It was all leftist and globalist talking point questions.
