With President Donald Trump capturing the overwhelming majority of middle-America within the new MAGA movement; essentially taking over the Republican party apparatus, I would consider that Musk’s assembly will likely be a collection of never-trumpers, alligator emojis and disgruntled former Republicans.
The impact is undetermined, but the assembly itself was entirely predictable.

I’ve been pondering the notion that the 2026 mid-terms will result in a lame-duck presidency if Elon manages to flip congressional control away from MAGA.
The first thing that comes to mind is that a presidential duck is only as lame as his character is weak. Maybe it’s Hopium on my part, but I don’t see Trump just throwing in the towel. His is not a weak character. And somehow, some way, he always manages to get big things done.
More importantly, I suspect Trump planned for this before he even took office. That’s why he’s been moving so insanely fast. He’s been moving so fast that I have to keep reminding myself it’s only been 5.5 months.
What he might be planning to do (probably already is doing) to get ahead of the mid-term uncertainty is beyond me. But I’ve learned not to underestimate him. No doubt he’ll keep pushing hard to get as many of his big projects locked in before the mid-terms. After that, well, I wouldn’t be at all unhappy if he used his last two years to go completely scorched-earth on all the treasonous b()stards. Handcuffs on people like Brennan and Fauci would be extremely satisfying lame-duck accomplishments in my book.
I think Elon can certainly throw obstacles in Trump’s path, but he can’t force him to sign any of the bills Elon wants. He’ll have a much harder time getting his subsidies back than he thinks. Overall, my feeling is that Elon’s plans are less likely to create a lame-duck presidency than a lame-duck congress. And Trump will just keep on Trumpin’.
The current scenario is PDJT surmounting the obstacle of an establishment-GOP Congress, and overall 47 has been performing excellently. I would expect no less in the last half of 47 irrespective of the 2027-2029 Congress. And with Vance and Rubio hungry for November 2028, I don’t expect a lot of lame-duckery to be honest.
Wasn’t PDJT himself a member of some insignificant 3rd party well before 2016? I expect little more out of this adventure, with Musk repeating previous upstart party errors.

I see/hear no one with that kind of vision. Zero. at this point. All others seem to be personal ‘career’ political types. Not leaders with vision, but great speaking committee chairs.

Remember: The best stuff from the party in control is held back to be dropped at the appropriate times in the last four months before election day.

The BBB’s passage solidifies PDJT’s position, how much I can’t begin to speculate. But he is not going to deviate much (If at all) from achieving his promises made in his campaign. I can’t recall any President doing what he has accomplished in five and a half months and for that matter, their full terms of office.
I think many treepers would be gratified to see this Congress actually codify a great deal of the executive orders the President has put into force. They did not pass much legislation his first term since Mr. Trump’s agenda and values clashed existentially with the Uniparty, globalists, WEF, etc. This Congress will likely stay the course, esp. the Senate.
Well, there is the adage that Nature abhors a vacuum. Looks like Elon is stepping into the middle of it and can only imagine the middle of the road Democrats, the RINO’s no longer welcome into the grand old party, and all the neocons that can see an end to the tunnel they’ve been crawling through will be jumping into show Elon how things are done!

RFKjr and the Green Party had huge difficulties getting their names, and parties such as Independent for RFKjr and Green Party for the environmentalist, onto all of the State ballots. There are a lot more hoops to jump through than just having enough money to pay the fees and I don’t think the Democrat party operatives in the various States are going to let any new Musk party onto their State ballots.
It took lawsuits in several States for the Greens to get on ballots and not all of them were won and the Green Party has been around for decades.

Still won’t be an automatic entry onto the ballots in the States; each State has their own entry requirements for new political parties and usually requires a percentage of signatures on a petition based on the number of actual voters in previous general elections, with each signature being individually verified by that State’s voter registrar or Secretary of State.
I doubt Elon will have a significant following. Everyone dumb enough to follow his pied piper routine already got burned. All those Tesla owners were upset when he supported Trump. Most outright Trump supporters were not silly enough to purchase the EV novelty and they won’t be carried away by his tunes. He’s left with little if any political capital.

Musk does not have the ability, or the skills, to generate the same result by 2026.
