It is difficult to respect the justice system when it continually demonstrates inequality and bias, obviating its mandate as a neutral venue of dispute resolution. I first got a taste of it as a crime victim in the early 1970’s and later as a litigant in the same decade, all before having the right to vote, because I believed in it. Good lesson.
However, that doesn’t mean citizens abandon their morality and faith. We don’t need a justice system or ‘laws’ for that.
However, right can increasingly be at odds with legal. I remain true to right and ignore legal and the humans who wear it like a shield and profit from the chaos and bias. Eventually in my opinion that will result in war and violence. I accept that. That’s what I train for. Our Founders were moral men who pledged their lives, wealth and honor in their mission and it wasn’t sunshine and hugs. Far from it.
If you want to tear the country apart, make the justice system two tiered. Such obvious unfairness breeds contempt for the law. To wit:

There are portable towers that are set up in D.C. to jam cellular reception at certain times and events. I recall P6 pointing them out as he wandered the streets narrating the day to day there and his time covering White House events as part of the press.
I’ll bet LA has similar equipment. My understanding is first responders and law enforcement rely on radio, either open or encrypted, which operate on different frequencies.
People wouldn’t be, IMO, so in their face with their cameras rolling, trying to catch something to stream, nor would easy communication be available. Some no doubt have alternate coms, as we do but most are just regular prols with cell phones.
