If you have walked the deep political weeds with us, you will likely remember the warnings. Thomas Massie, Chip Roy, Rand Paul and other fellow republican travelers will join with Elon Musk and the alligator emoji network to oppose President Trump as soon as they can get back into the minority.
There is an intention behind this alignment of interests, which includes the Tech Bros (and Sea Island), that ends with a Vance-DeSantis promoted effort in 2028. The only thing standing in their way is MAGA. As a result, MAGA must be fractured.
The money center behind the strategy is working on a learning curve. Having failed with prior launches of similar approaches (ref. DeSantis ’23/’24), they are now doing much more proactive seeding.
Yeah, I know, I know; some will say I’m crazy. I’m not. I’ve watched this exact group’s constructs for over 14 years now. All the data indicates this approach; the only unknown variables are the names of the political representatives who will participate. Today, Thomas Massie is asking Elon Musk to fund primary challengers against the House republicans who support Donald Trump.
WASHINGTON DC – Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., said Elon Musk should fund primary challenges against almost every Republican who voted for President Donald Trump‘s “big, beautiful bill” last week. “I don’t primary my colleagues, but I feel pretty good about him doing it,” Massie told Fox News Digital on Wednesday.
“There’s a few others that should be spared,” when asked to clarify if he meant all 215 House Republicans who supported the legislation. “But people want term limits, right? Elon can bring term limits.”
Musk came out against the massive Trump agenda bill that House Republicans passed last week. “I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it,” Musk first posted.
It was followed by several posts on the national debt, and one that read, “In November next year, we fire all politicians who betrayed the American people.”
Massie said on Wednesday, “I just think he made one mistake when misstatement – he said take them out in November. I would take them out in primaries if I were Elon Musk.” (more)
Massie wants to give control of the House to Democrats. With Democrats in control President Trump is then isolated, ridiculed, marginalized and targeted again. This approach, the Massie strategists believe, diminishes President Trump, and weakens his endorsement power in the lead up to the ’28 contest.
Both Massie and Musk supported Ron DeSantis until Trump finished crushing him in 2024. This is simply a replay.
The Sea Island GOPe are nothing if not predictable.
Team Cruz in ’16, became Team DeSantis in ’24, will be Team Vance in ’28.
Watch.

If this is all true (and I don’t doubt that it is), then how can we avoid an armed revolution to restore constitutional values to our country? The “Potomac Fever” is worse than any plague. It corrupts or destroys all that arrives there.
Republicans are not immune from the sin of self-aggrandizement, these MAGA Traitors must be brought to account! Democrats are beyond hopeless at this point.
Yet the people in their districts keep voting them back into office.
How can they be stopped?
What has to happen?
President Trump has to drastically reduce the money in government….. Once the money goes the RINO grifters will head to the state capitols. GET RID OF THE MONEY AND 90% of the people….. We cannot even close the Department of Education. We cannot fire the Crooks in the FBI and CIA. It is difficult to deport the illegal crooks.
Congress slow walks everything…..delay delay delay… Heck Bondi may be starting her on TV show? Bongino and Cash too?
We need good candidates, unfortunately the candidate pool in south Texas is very limited, our district councilman is a drunk, but it’s better than the socialist opposition candidate. Someone from outside or politics will have to step up.

In Texas our big problem is Bush Republicans. They are UniParty and treacherous as a rattlesnake pit.
Time for MAGA to fund a primary challenger against RINOrat Thomas Massie !!

Congress is the biggest problem the US faces! The members of Congress do NOT represent the people of their districts; instead, they follow the money, give themselves perks and breaks and claim to be doing it for “us” – lies, lies and nothing but liars in Congress.
There are very few (mostly MAGA) representatives who actually do the right thing by the nation and the people they represent.
It would be WONDERFUL if “We the People” could charge them at any time of the year with failure to uphold their oaths of office, lying to their constituents, accepting bribes and lobby $$, etc., and not wait for an election to roll around.
We need a way to rein them in. The Senators who are supposed to represent me (Lankford & Mullin) are SNAKES and unfortunately most of the people here in OK have limited choices or have forgotten what these weasels have done throughout the year. I was “forced” to vote for Tom Cole last year because there was no one running against him (except for a Democrat, and I’d rather cut off my fingers than vote for a Dem).
Congress IS THE PROBLEM!
The underlying problem is graft and grifters.
The US Senate and House of Representatives are two small clubs full of grifters ready and willing to accept graft….it’s what they do and who they are.
And then either insulate themselves from the same laws they enforce on others; i.e., sources and methods, sealed payouts for sexual assault and harassment, insider trading, making up things whole cloth on the House/Senate floor, etc.
Or, they just outright break laws, and their friends in the DOJ and FBI look the other way. And if you happen to be a leftist supporter who impedes ICE, gets in the way of law enforcement, and aids and abets those who come into the country illegally, they, the FBI/DOJ/Local police, looked the other way. But don’t do a donut on a rainbow crosswalk. Don’t save lives on a subway. Don’t wave a flag at the Capitol while a CHAZ in Portland is in its 15-month or so.
Mr. Massie likes to take to X and he likes to impede good bills but for some reason, he never has solutions.
And sadly, Langford stepped in when Tom Coburn stepped down. He is no Tom Coburn—not even close. You lost solid representation when Coburn retired early. I was sad when I saw he had passed. He’s probably spinning in his grave seeing what Langford has done.
I couldn’t have said that better myself. Are you a fan of razor fist?
Add to that: American complacency.
Many qualified people throughout the nation but who really wants to put up with the crap of being a candidate nevermind a representative?
When we get fire in our bellies as a nation this energy will translate to meaningful action.
At least the duplicity is becoming “in your face.”
Ego wars. Never mind what’s best for the country…
Elon is in life for Elon’s own goals. There’s no reason whatsoever that Massie’s dream of being funded by Elon’s deep pockets has any substance.
That said, Elon ought to be upset that he wasted the first part of this year attempting to reform something that no part of it wants reformed. The B-ugly-BB is business as usual.
That quote of SD is the entire point of everything that is happening. In order to maximize profits, the stupid party must return to the minority.
Being in charge is a lot of work and politically risky, while being the opposition is so easy that mouth-breathers like Crockett can do it.
Support President Trump any way you can. Let’s further organize to help him do the heavy lifting. Neither Massie nor Musk have what it takes to be Commander-in-Chief. They are a major distraction from what’s going on with China and domestic deportations. We are developing a real press and we have so many good organizations that will allow us to band and bond together as a brick wall and bedrock for the Constitutional Republic.
It won’t matter, the DEBT will do its thing no matter which TEAM pretends to be in control. The MONEY always makes the RULES. If you peel away the onion, you see everything is about MONEY. Precisely why we constantly read Sundance espouse, “There are TRILLIONS at Stake”……..The perpetual Kabuki Theater will come to an end soon, something has to give, not sure what form its going to take, maybe the collapse of 2 or 3 BIG BANKS who made bad BETS in the TRILLIONS and are technically INSOLVENT. Imagine waking up and your BANK and the FDIC have no money…….Yeah, that’s real. And The Fed is propping it all up by DIGITALLY adding to the MONEY SUPPLY….IE: Inflation, our financial chickens are coming home to roost.
My only question is: if not Vance in 2028, then who? Give us some options to begin vetting, Sundance!
Rubio?
Rubio is looking better and better. But there’s not really a true MAGA person out here who can win and be as strong as Trump has been on trade, the border and America First foreign policy that keeps us out of wars.
Vance is a charlatan as exposed in his last interview. He was with National Review and was an “intellectual” before Trump Jr was convinced by Peter Thiel about him based on that suspect book “Hillbilly Eligy” There was another politician who used a book to shoot through to the top without anyone really knowing who he was and that’s Barack Obama.
No, I’m very, very skeptical of Vance (why hasn’t his wife converted to Christianity? Why did Vance for that matter just become a Catholic in 2018 ? Why do his kids except his last one have Indian names ? )
Rubio along with his wife at least are actual Catholics and he has more experience than Vance and can appeal to Latinos in an authentic way (unlike Ted Cruz). Others I like are Doug Burgum, Howard Lutnick (albeit a Jew), Tulsi Gabbard (though not Chirstian), and Byron Donalds.
JD Vance is better than any Democrat but I’m skeptical that he’s the best MAGA successor out there.
I wouldn’t use Catholicism as a litmus test, but that’s just me.
Marco Rubio is not a natural born citizen, like so many who run these days for a position they are not, and never will be, qualified for.
Rubio was born in Miami in 1971. His parents did not naturalize until 1975.
Did not know that until now.
If you want MAGA, it’s Stephen Miller but I don’t know what kind of chance he has or if he wants it.
Face it, only ego driven, self serving, megalomaniacs run for congress. Some just lack that self awareness initially.
I am waiting on Adam Kinzinger to chime in.
Elon is a genius. If only he could stay in his lane. Trump is President.
Perhaps Musk should start with Massie to fund a primary opponent.
I saw it locally in our County Republican Party. MAGA broke away from the Republican Party after a very divisive officer election. The RINOs wanted control.. A MAGA group took over wealthy, Williamson County 2 years ago? Maybe 4. Last month the RINOs spent 100k to take control from MAGA. Last week the Republicans in the county I live sent an email out asking that the groups get back together…..The next morning they tried to book the place MAGA meets for the same day and same time……essentially leaving us with no place to meet.
With the Democrats at 16%, the RINOs will give us no choice but to bend the knee.
Never give in.
Never give up.
Trump could easily stop this if he followed through with key commitments to his base. For starters:
1) pull US out of NATO and Ukraine — expose the autonomy of the CIA keeping us in that mess
2) shut down ALL mRNA jabs in animals and humans
3) indict those involved with lockdown and mRNA criminality
4) arrest corrupt current and past members of the FBI
5) stop playing along with the “Epstein committed suicide” charade that Kash and Dan are pushing
6) arrest those government personnel involved with the assassination attempts
7) arrest those who killed Seth Rich
8) arrest those involved with election fraud and manipulation
9) do something substantive about the ever-expanding Lawfare that is becoming a Constitutional crisis
10) legislate DOGE savings vs redirecting that money to other pet projects like Stargate
Massie always seems to have a supercilious smirk on his face. A little disturbing I think.
Masse is another McConnell and must be removed immediately, along with Chip Roy, who happens to be my representative, he is not communicative if you tell him he is a RINO….
Elon sacrificed a great deal for the DOGE effort. For no money.
Much like President Trump, he became reviled, whereas before he was admired. He lost billions of dollars due to disgraceful mobs and Congressmen. His signature Tesla products were set fire to the detriment of their owners. His DOGE team were mocked. All because he loved this country and wanted to save it from economic disaster.
So much fraud and abuse was uncovered by Elon’s team.
So what if he asked for a few things in return. Wouldn’t you? Surely something could be offered if not those particular requests.
DOGE did a great job and after all the sacrifices Elon and his team made, the House ignored his efforts. President Trump’s recision package request is minimal.
If he wants to replace RINOs with MAGA candidates, I am all for it.
Musk works for Musk only and always. The techies should not be running the government, they need to stay in their lane.
AI combined with robotics is dangerous and powerful; and should be treated as such by law. Now, it is the wild west out there. I read rumors of Musk using the US databases to train his own AI brand. There are other nefarious reasons for Musk’s involvement. Sundance spells some out about the tech bois.
Easy stuff. If you believe ever increasing deficits, ever increasing national debt and trillion-dollar interest payments don’t matter than continue with your bread and circus. If you do then CUT spending and be fiscally responsible. Easy stuff but We the People seem too addled to make the choice.
That is one excellent meme with DeSantis on top…..spread around!!
Is Massie trusting that no one will primary him out?
Trump already told Massie that he (Trump) intends to primary him (Massie).
This is ugly.
Maybe it is just Massie dropping his mask and Trump calling him out. I’m going with Sundance’s research here. I was fooled by DeSantis.
Primary Massie
Thomas Massie voted the “green new deal” bill out of committee. Thanks Thomas. Hypocrite.
Massie is such a phony. He wants the biggest tax increase in US History.
Disappointed in Thomas Massie, whom I had admired, but he is just plain wrong. It will be a disaster.
Told all of you not to trust Musk.
I liked him!
Musk tried this before with Nigel Farage and now Farage is the leading candidate to be the next UK Prime Minister.
My point being that MAGA is not so easily fractured as Elon might think! We Trumpkins, (as George Will once called us), will take Musk’s help when it’s forthcoming but we won’t follow him down the primrose path to being in the minority!
Let SpaceX put all the Sea Island cronies into orbit through the midterms!
Massie: “I don’t primary my colleagues but I feel pretty good about Elon doing it.”
AYFKM??
That’s some world-class level chicken sh*t right there. Unbelievable!
If the GOP doesn’t get their $#!+ together and pass the BBB to DJT’s satisfaction, they’re cruisin’ for a bruisin’ in ’26.
Does Massie get along with anyone? Does Rand Paul? Ted Cruz hides this inability better than he used to.
Like I would trust Massie or Musk to select a MAGA candidate. Pffffft.
Congresscritters who are just Fiscal Conservatives are useless baggage who do not see the BIG PICTURE.
At this point, I am of the opinion that there “conservatism” is a cover and not what they are really about accomplishing in congress.
Massie, Rand Paul &ct. want to impose the largest tax increase in history on the American people and earn their place in the permanent “loyal opposition” where they can “talk the talk” until the cows come home.
I don’t care if it’s Elon Musk or George Soros or anyone else, rich individuals should not be allowed to exercise (buy) political influence to a greater extent than anyone else. Individual donations should be cumulatively capped – pick a number – with donations allowed to either one or many candidates up to the cap. Your choice. But tour donations will be reported and accessible to all. That’s it. PACs should be outlawed. Period. They’re like voting machines – irresistibly ripe for fraud and abuse.
I think the cap should be $500 (random) in total, because politicans have no business spending millions and billions of dollars “campaigning”. It’s just another money laundering scheme. A terrible waste of money.
We have THE INTERNET and they can all just get online and do Zoom calls with America. LOL.
Nah. Trump’s BBB is a horrific bloated budget. Do better Trump
Boom.
Sorry Massie, it’s over for you. I had faith, but it was misplaced.
I trust Massie more than I do Trump on fiscal questions, and I make no apologies for that. Could Musk be objecting more because some of *his* stuff is getting cut (like EV subsidies) and making a big deal out of the debt problem as a roundabout way of attacking the bill? Sure. But we need to be playing hardball on spending and deficit – we may already be in Wile E. Coyote territory.
So far, we’ve had nothing but fiddling while more logs get thrown on the fiscal fire: McCarthy waived the red flag on the debt limit without a fight, Johnson is like the football coach who gives great pep talks before he loses every game, and now Trump seems to have no problem presiding over Biden/Pelosi’s green new deal spending. And if we want to talk about primaries, lets look at Trump’s abysmal record of endorsing RINOs over guys who are actually looking to get into the fight. 90% of Republicans won’t stand up for anything and deserve to be primaried; at least there’d be a chance of getting a fighter instead of a deep state capitulator (look at how Johnson flip-flopped on FISA warrants, for instance).
Even if we balanced the budget TODAY, we’d still enter the interest payment debt spiral within a decade. So don’t waste my time finger-pointing at the tech bros (we know they have an agenda), don’t throw around “we’ve got to keep MAGA united” arguments, and especially don’t ask me to ignore inarguable history of the fall of empires. So far, Trump has done nothing to even slow us down in our rush to recycle those mistakes. We can either be the adults in the room and present a well-grounded plan that will hurt in the short run but saves us from total collapse (and may be rejected by voters anyway), or we can be like Democrats, tRuSt ThE pLAn, and keep band-aiding our way through growing crisis because we’re too afraid to push to test whether voters are willing to act like adults and accept “we can’t afford that” instead of marching like lemmings right off the cliff.
The idea that Trump is willing to compromise our future to to make himself look good for the moment keeps getting harder to argue against, and if “being MAGA” means stopping short of offering those bitter but necessary pills, deal me out. I may be powerless to stop the collapse of the American Empire – the plebes may win their bread and circuses, to our doom – but I’ll be damned if my name goes down in history as being aligned in the slightest with that. Trump would be wise to do the same. Unfortunately, he’s increasingly adopting the mindset of the history books’ once-popular failed leaders – only willing to fight the battles he knows he’ll win, or that mean something to him in the immediate future.
Priority one is deporting all illegal aliens to keep our country. That is going to take a large wad of money due to Biden’s administration’s shenanigans.
Priority two is winning the midterms at scale. That means the tariff supply chain disruptions and the deglobalization disruptions to the middle class pocketbooks have to be addressed, even though they are temporary. Tax cuts are a must pass.
As a conservative, I truly hate the bill, the grifts, but I understand why Trump has these priorities and is downplaying cutting the pork in this bill. He needs the budget to pass and execute on these two priorities. I pray he gets it.
The Trump/Massie feud has been ongoing since the Mnuchin/Pelosi COVID bill was shoved down our throats. Nanzi tried to ram it through under unanimous consent. Massie objected and forced the House to have an actual vote to pass their largest spending bill in the history of this nation. Trump attempted to call Massie when Massie was on the floor and about to or already speaking against the bill. Massie did not take the call but called back after the vote. Trump was livid and called Massie a 3rd rate grandstander without ever hearing what Massie had to say. Trump declared that he would have Massie voted out of office.
Massie won his primary. Those two pretty much got over it.
When Trump was forming his cabinet, Massie was a top candidate for USDA. After Massie was notified, he called Joel Salatin to ask if Salatin would be an advisor. Salatin leaked and the news spread around in the homesteading/natural food community. Soon thereafter on October 26th, Massie was the guest speaker at the national meeting of the Weston A. Price Foundation. During that speech, he told about the spat with Trump and did a Trump impression. Soon thereafter, Massie was off the list for ag secretary.
In this current congress, Mike Johnson has removed Massie from the House Rules Committee and refused to bring up Massie’s Prime Act for a vote. The Prime Act is an excellent, clean bill that would loosen Big Ag’s grip on beef. Massie told Johnson that until the Prime Act made it to the floor for a vote, he (Massie) was a hard “No” on the Big Beautiful Bill. When Johnson did not relent, Massie voted against the Big Beautiful Bill. Massie might have voted against that bill anyway. His reasoning was that if the GOP wanted to cut spending, the time had come since the GOP controlled both houses of congress and the presidency. He explained his reasoning very clearly during an interview on the Ron Paul podcast.
Trump got angry and said that he would get Massie voted out of his congressional seat for sure this time.
Massie is a brilliant mathematical and constitutional nerd from Appalachia. He does not come from money. If you listen to what he says, it is not hard to understand his reasoning. His type is not very prone to palace intrigue.
======================
I have a similar photo of me with Dinesh D’Souza. Doesn’t mean a thing.
Please explain his support of Ron de Santis? It has never made a lick of sense to me.
Massie is playing for the other team, not the MAGA team.
The RICH and POWERFUL demand to have their way. THEY have paid BIG MONEY to their legislative slaves, and nothing less than absolute delivery of their agenda is acceptable.
The GLOBAL DEEP STATE and their INTEL OVERLORDS rule the political landscape. If you cannot use a Republican majority to support MAGA or President Trump, after all that has happened and occurred, then this war is truly lost. And don’t tell me it’s a game of 32 degree chess. Nope, it’s a cutthroat mud pit with chains, knives and brass knuckles. Only a few members of CONgress even try to fight, and some just pretend they’re doing it.
Most just pretend and most know they are pretending.
Thanks for this, Sundance! I liked Massie, but, not if he is against MAGA, which I did not know. Rand Paul has always been a bit iffy, agree with some of his positions but a few are big nos.
So, we should be looking for Vance’s betrayal in the future also.
For 2028 we’re going to need another charismatic billionaire that’s totally independent of the system to win the presidency.
Someone in the mold of Trump.
Anything less will mean it’s back to business as usual.
Is there anyone out there who fits the bill?
