That’s not exactly a high standard. One, this is a only a true statement if you don’t count wartime. Two, which weapons are we stockpiling? Most of our weapons are either mediocre or are flat out obsolete on a modern netcentric battlefield. Moreover, I have seen no evidence that there is serious review of doctrine necessary to adapt to the recent MASSIVE changes in warfighting. Furthermore, I have zero confidence that the current set of utter clown trash that have grifted their way into becoming Generals and Admirals are even remotely adequate to this task, individually or collectively. The corruption has been rotting the training and promotion pipeline into senior ranks for a generation.
Finally, even if these issues are addressed, and they will take at least 10 years of sustained effort by competent uncorrupted leadership, against whom exactly are ‘we’ going to use this potentially revamped military? It has been many decades since American guns have been aimed at people who are actual threats to the American people. We know Heritage America will pay for it with blood and money, but whose interests are going to be served?
Agree, and many of these weapons were designed during the 1980s. A war with Russia or China would be a disaster. No hypersonic weapons, what is DOD doing with the VERY large defense budgets.
The European’s are militarily worthless. Low defense budgets and much of what they did buy has been liquidated in Ukraine.

USA hasn’t won a war since WWII. USA/NATO generals have lost the Ukraine war they started to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. ”As long as it takes”is looking for the exit. Convoys taking material and soldiers to Europe are just fat targets. Ukraine has lost 1.4 million dead to Russia 100K. The slow grind has been to minimize Russian casualties. The EU populations and the USA populations have no appetite for war. How can anybody keep saying that the USA has the strongest military ever? Retired Magistrate here: Does anyone really know if and how many Russian long range bombers were hit? I have read articles that said two were hit/damaged and other articles that 40 were hit or damaged or maybe the whole thing was just manufactured to get the United States into another war.
Right now I am having a hard time believing anything I read about this conflict.
Why President Trump made the statement he did about our military being strong and we are stockpiling weapons at a fast pace is not reassuring that President Trump’s statement “peace is the prize” is still what he believes.
My Navy veteran brother’s funeral was today and I don’t want any more wars. The only ones that profit are the weapons manufacturers and the politicians who get kickbacks.

Wow this article seems to have drawn out many of the anti-Trump and anti-MAGA drip-by-drip saboteurs that hang around the edges most of the time. I see a measurably higher than normal amount of not-so-subtle shade thrown on President Trump using various vectors of mostly-undeserved criticism that have repeatedly appeared in the MSM since 2016. Always the speculation that he is uninformed, stupid, or is as deep state-controlled as previous presidents when in fact he’s been refreshingly unlike any in this century at a minimum.
When President Trump keeps his critical strategies close to his chest, the shade-throwers and distortionists are always ready to fill the void with their negativity, almost always without any hard evidence to support their theories.
Personally I am glad that POTUS is staying silent so far on his plans to deal with the Ukrainian criminal Zelenskyy and the increasingly agitated Russian President, while having to deal with the arrogant saber-rattling European elites, who nonetheless remain in their expensive bunkers while promoting WWIII with its inevitable death and destruction for the “commoners” who must prosecute it.
