India was under pressure by both sides, the USA and China. Part of the Trump Indo-pacific plan was a geopolitical trade strategy aligning the United States with India. However, Beijing was pressuring India to reject alignment with the USA and form a mutually beneficial trade block with China.
India has rejected the Chinese plan and chosen to follow the USA model because access to the U.S. consumer base is the stronger economic influence.
The result? Once again, sad Panda.
INDIA – India has sided with the United States (US) President Donald Trump on the trade war with Xi Jinping of China. Reports indicate that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is ready to accept all conditions of the US in a trade deal.
Trump raised tariffs on most Chinese imports to 145%, citing the need to reduce the trade deficit and encourage domestic manufacturing.
In retaliation, China has imposed 125% tariffs on US goods and implemented non-tariff barriers, including export controls on critical rare-earth elements.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Trump in the White House in February 2025.
After the meeting, the leaders announced they would pursue a “framework” for greater cooperation.
“ Prime Minister Modi and I have agreed that we will be in negotiations to address the long-running disparities,” Trump said.
“But really, we want a certain level of playing field, which we really think we’re entitled to.”
On the other hand, Modi said India and the US will have a MEGA partnership for prosperity.
He said India is working towards a Viksit Bharat, which in the American context translates into MIGA.
“An excellent meeting with Trump at the White House. Our talks will add significant momentum to the India-USA friendship,” Modi said.
[…] Modi’s move is despite persuasion by Yu Jing, spokesperson for the Chinese embassy in India, for Modi to join forces with the Asian country.
Jing said India and China should stand together against US tariff actions as the two largest developing nations. (more)

Bad Panda haz sadz!
Howdy Modi!
Good one! China must be in a bit of a panic. India is a big global market and PDT talking about smoother relations with Russia has to be a major pucker factor. BRICS is losing influence
BRICS was always a smokescreen and anti-American wish of posers. I prefer all globalist unions burn in hell.
BRICS has the best plan for returning to the gold standard!
Don’t you see what has happened to to the USA with printable paper money, CRs and no budget, control of banking, along with false prosperity; they have pulled the wool over Our eyes.
BIG Governments, WEF/members, and monopolies thrive as We struggle.
God help US
Manmade money can never stand up to gold, silver, and real earth valuables.
BRICS has adopted the gold standard; hope Trump decides to follow suit!! The gold standard actually puts people in charge instead of governments that can print and vote for CR’s til the cows come home.
The Gold Standard makes money management possible; along with a real budget!! With fake printable paper money the wool can be pulled over Our eyes……..What really is a ‘continuing resolution’ if it isn’t fake government spending and no accountability.
God Help US
Real money in your pocket makes everyone more responsible; ya know the true value. Paper money and credit cards are control mechanisms for government; real money in hand produces real worth!
AND is there anything that sounds better than the jingle of changes in your pocket……..they’ve taken that away from US and given US lust for possessions not paying your way and providing for your future.
Speaking of the gold standard did we ever find out how much gold was in Ft. Knox???
How is “the gold standard” going to make money management possible? Agreed that fiat paper isn’t worth the ink because the trust of the American government is not very high any longer, a long term downward trend.
Are you going to carry gold coins into a coffee shop or grocery store? We are not going back onto a gold standard, hate to break it to you. Digital money is here to stay. Are you reading between the lines? Can you figure out which cryptocurrency beats all the rest because of proof of work and absolute scarcity?
Get on a bitcoin standard and get off fiat already!
🤪 😂 😝
lol. Thank you for the laughs!
I am absolutely SHOCKED that ANYONE did not see this coming!
Pretending simpletons disconnected from reality are the only people who didn’t see this coming.
Another win for President Trump!
Sadly, even some in MAGA are like this. The 2016 crowd has people who are fickle and slightly retarded sometimes.
Good now please take all of your H1-B visa holders back and put them to work in India.
They can practice their new found English skills at a call center in New Delhi!
How do they keep track of the number of calls?
Do they have a Delhi counter? 🙂
They try to curry flavor.
LOL
flavor? or favor?
🥲 🤣 😂
That one broke…. They got a New Delhi counter
Many of them had decent English skills before coming to the US. Remember India was a British colony. But I’m with you about having them go home. H1B visas are a scam to bring lower cost workers into the US for the benefit of big business.
It’s also about enabling many of them to remain here by creating families, slowly creating a dominating replacement class.
You quite rightly referenced the British, and they are still at it.
Patel motel surveillance is a British Crown operation.
Yes, the British did huge disservice to the West by teaching them English.
For the benefit of Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos.
In into the exclusion of American citizens paying through the nose for a college education and hoping to recoup it back. The background deals between WEF liters gave discounted education, discounted cost of living, discounted start up costs, lower taxes to 4 years competing with our children who are still forced to pay for every pet project and grift that all politicians giveaway in order to line their own pockets
And if they’ve managed to tone down the Indian dialect and adopt a more regional American one, if the call center doesn’t work out they might find success in Bollywood or Hollywood!
Your comment is spot on. I believe this was the number one issue right after the consumer market that made India cave. Trump would’ve canceled every Indian visa the day after they decided with China and all of those workers would’ve had to go home.
This is what I’m hoping for.
India has rejected the Chinese plan and chosen to follow the USA model because access to the U.S. consumer base is the stronger economic influence.
Don’t discount the sheer VOLUME of visa workers in this country nor the sheer VOLUME of offshored workers now housed in India nor the VOLUME of Indian students taking American slots at universities…yeah, they can’t do that with China can they?
This is all fine and good, but no mention is made of BRICS. If India really wants to maintain access to the U.S. consumer base on good trade terms, then it should mean their withdrawal from and repudiation of BRICS. They cannot remain part of a movement that has the aim of undermining the U.S. dollar and economy. If they want favorable access, first they need to pull out of BRICS.
Perhaps a better strategy is to cleave BRICS+
The fracture point would be Russia.
That has already been stirred into the cake that is now baking.
Globalism will not survive it’s war against nationalism.
Straight to Moscow on the ReOrient Express!!
Orthodox Christian Russia is our natural ally & friend. We should be allies against the EU-NATO-WEF Nazis. Our friends the Serbian peoples also.
Amen, Brother Colkitto!!
Now that sounds like fun!
And it’s almost ready to break. Soon. Patience is a virtue.
I would hope that PD JT had that covered in the negotiations. We shall see in the details.
I see BRICS as a potential trade-bloc. But as a currency alternative, I don’t think its anywhere close to being ready to move forward, if ever. And working on a bilateral trade agreement with the U.S. already dilutes India’s position in the BRICS trade-bloc.
Gold is the alternative “off-the-shelf” currency for BRICS.
India is more than happy to buy our gold and silver … especially gold to offset iPhones etc/.
“India officially confirmed that they do not support the formation of a BRICS currency to challenge the US dollar.
The Modi government made it clear that India embraces the US dollar and will use the currency for cross-border transactions.
The country will settle payments in local currencies with other developing nations only when it seems fit.
The U-turn comes after Trump spared India from tariffs but imposed them on Canada, Mexico, and China”

“Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal confirmed that India does not support any form of BRICS currency.
He made it clear that India does not want to share a common currency with China.
For the uninitiated, India and China have been at loggerheads for more than five decades with border disputes and trade wars.
Accepting China’s stance would make the Modi government look weaker and hamper its electoral prospects.
https://watcher.guru/news/india-officially-rejects-brics-currency-calls-it-impossible
its to undermind the US dollar not to make a new nonexistent currency
Petrodollar forces everyone to use US dollar in that exchange. removing that forces our dollar to its true lower value (no one fearing our military might to force the petrodollar)
BRICS is a pipe dream. They have no real power and exist as a fantasy in the minds of anti-American clowns. I hate the UN/NATO but BRICS is about as worthwhile as pile of bricks.
I have no doubt that China promised to open more of their markets to India as part of the deal. It’s the same promise that was made to the US when MFN status was granted to China. Has it happened? No. India is smart enough to recognize that China will lie when it comes to trade deals.
You can trust the Communists . . . to lie!
Reference the 1999 deal with the Brits that Hong Kong would be free until 2049.
China is too weak. The US is a behemoth for global spending (something like 30% of total global spending) and our 27 trillion in consumer spending power dwarfs the Chicoms’ 7 trillion.
People have the wrong idea about how strong China actually is. India knows the truth, thankfully.
Was it Lutnick that stated 36% of global consumption?
I found that number on my own. If Lutnick said 36%, then I’m sure it’s between 30-40%. Point being, we ARE the global market which makes all these pouting liberals hilarious because they think they can replace us.
Considering China is constantly trespassing on Indian territory, and frequent skirmishes erupt resulting in death and injury… why the heck would India side with such an aggressor?
Trade deals with currency manipulators are worthless.
Yep, Pakistan to the west and China to the east.
Clowns to the west of them…
Jokers to the east 🙂
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.
A relatively low scale border conflict has been going on for some time now between the two. Should not be surprising that it had something to do with major freshwater sources up in the Himalayan mountains that both depend on.
An easily manipulated point of contention.
Ever ready for whatever scheme du jour moves them.
Exactly!
Thank you, Sundance!
Xi was perfectly fine with his PLA troops agitating along the LAC (Line of Actual Control) region – the Galwan Valley – way up there in the snowy regions – the PRC and the PLA are not India’s friends!
Remembering that Justin Trudeau permitted the PLA to do “winter maneuvers” in Canada so that the PLA would have experience in doing battle in snowy regions – every one with snowy regions should be on their toes!
Another point – the PRC does have snowy regions in the area of Tibet which they took over in 1950 – and don’t forget Vladivostok, way over in the east; could it be that the PRC is readying to take Vladivostok from Russia?
IMHO, the PRC dusted off Hitler’s playbook for Lebensraum and the idea is that they will not make any of the mistakes that Hitler made.
Aligning with Trudeau of Canada, so willingly allowing the PLA to “practice” in Canada. Collecting various “Quislings” on the map. Endearing themselves with their Belt and Road Initiatives. Building port facilities all over the place . . . recently in Peru. Trying to drum up enthusiasm in northern Europe for a railway between Tallinn, Estonia and Helsinki, Finland . . . being able to traverse underwater, saving time! So, how was that to affect the Nordstream Pipeline? How does Russia like the PRC up there in the Baltic? About 250 miles from St. Petersburg.
But does Xi really, truly have control when we see the rampant overfishing around the world (including the Galapagos Islands) with the help of the PLA staging “factory ships” to process the fish caught, never mind the impact on fishing livelihoods. Also, mining the deepest sea beds for minerals – how do they actually do that without disturbing the creatures living there? Is that why we have seen washing up on the California coastline types of fish never even seen outside of the deep waters? The disruption of sea life in general.
Check it out, domoic acid in the waters making sea lions and other critters sick, WHY now is this domoic acid showing up? Is it something involved with the deep sea bed mining process? Maybe it is something drifting down from the battery plant at Moss Landing, so don’t blame China for that!
It’s Global Warming, so never mind!
Exactly! Excellent points and synopsis of the damage being done by China in the oceans. I find it shocking that NOBODY ever brings it up. There should be much more outrage at what they are doing.
China cannot outlast the USA. If China has a serious uptick in unemployed people, because of no business with the USA and then a major food shortage how long can XI exist. I would think the CCP would start to think about replacing XI, saying he has health issues to save face. A revolution may soon be brewing in China.
Wouldn’t be the first time China experienced a peasant revolution if things do not improve for the common Chinese.
Intrigue and plots within the Chinese ruling class are as old as the Forbidden Palace.
“Let them eat each other!”
-Mao
If the US has a serious uptick in unemployed people, the Dems may be more than thrilled to stoke up the street violence, media tsunami of fears, sickness and doom reports, foreign terrorist operations and mass obstruction against Trump.
They are already stoking up the street violence via Shiloh and Anthony. The race hustlers on both sides are pushing it hard.
Our “Free Traitors” enemies within our country had been subsidizing and allowing China to build up strength through the economic treason of “Free Trade”. Cut the Free Trade noose off our necks and stop the subsidizing and hopefully the Chinese people will overthrow the CCP beloved by our enemies within. I never got over the ChinaGate treason and saw how they got away with it. Tariffs now or bullets later. Let the Chinese people take care of the CCP for us.
The people are already there. Watch the YouTube videos from China Observer and you’ll learn a lot. Eye opening for sure.
nothing a virus blamed on the USA couldnt handle.
China is getting crushed. Hope the fall just like USSR did in the 1980s.
The CCP is as foreign in nature as was the Soviet regime.
Imposed and sustained by outsiders.
May the people of China soon know freedom.
The Chinese as a people cannot “tolerate” freedom in the way many Westerners understand “freedom.”
It’s not in their DNA and I am being literal.
Biology is deterministic. Genes create culture.
Different genes survive in different physical environments.
The Chinese really are more genetically amenable to an authoritative organization of their culture.
Yet, it doesn’t have to express itself as a global predation.
Communism is not an organic manifestation of the Chinese culture.
Many tens of millions were murdered to impose it.
They are being used.
But hundreds of millions support it…
Oh, yeah, they are free to fight and rage against the machine all day long, no consequences whatsoever.
What cowards they must all be to submit like that.
🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄
That goes against my understanding of the Creator. ALL humans, created so they are optimized in function by a direct relation with Him, and in a family like process to amplify our understanding of Him in our quest to know His Creation, and how to live in it.
That, my friend, is what is in our DNA — not the subjection and abuse of communism.
so the Chinese are going to support Pakistan now in their skirmish…
I believe the past and ongoing tense would be appropriate here.
Two losers.
They also have deals with China.
India is also having battles with China on their border.
Through blood and broken promises, India has learned that China doesn’t negotiate in good faith regarding territory, trade, or influence.
The Ladakh standoff wasn’t a one-off. Combine that with China’s economic encirclement moves via ports in Sri Lanka and Pakistan and pressure campaigns in Bhutan and Nepal. Delhi sees the writing on the wall: China doesn’t want a partnership. It wants to dominate.
So, Modi is buying geopolitical insurance. Access to U.S. markets, tech, capital, and military cooperation offers protection from being boxed in regionally. And the message to Beijing is blunt:
We gave you a chance. You chose salami-slicing and wolf-warrior diplomacy. Now we’re aligning elsewhere.
Return of Indo-Pacific security concerns.
Way to prove our Champion correct, again, Xi!
It’s not just the consumer market that we have as leverage, it is also our usage of Indian human resources, which was a big reason for the increase in the middle class in India. If we were to put a stop to that, there would be a lot of revolt among the professional class in India.
And thats the ball game, not that the outcome wasn’t pre-ordained.
If a large country like India has decided its better to align with the U.S. than China, certainly no smaller countries are going to go the other way…
Chinas one hope was to get the majority of the other countries in the world, to band together WITH China, and force the U.S. to drop this trade reset strategy.
Stick a fork in that plan, as its dunnn!
Yep the fork has been tuned.
Sadly, Dutch, Canada didn’t get the memo. Or, if they did, they threw it out with their democracy long ago.
It was a stupid plan, one the chinese could never make happen.
Read the Headline to Sundance’s article and then think that the Deep State wants to destroy the middle class. Those in control are not on the side of Main Street.
That’s a HUUUUUGE win!
As I have said before, America is the card game every one wants/has to play at and President Donald J Trump knows that and has the winning hand. Grateful to him would be an understatement.
WUT????? But, but, egg prices….
Splat!
This is amazing. Is the BRICS alignment falling apart? Is Trump saving the dollar as the worlds currency? If Trump gets Putin to go along will China, South Africa and Brazil soon follow?
Makes me wonder how much longer BRICS can hold together.
That poor Panda. 🤣🤣🤣. Not.
I’d prefer India stuck with China, honestly. This is just more pressure on America to keep the infinite off-shoring going and the H1B pipeline flowing.
Stupid
The local hospital system here laid off their American customer service and replaced them with an Indian call center. Then Elon and his buddy Vivek have the nerve to tell us that there aren’t enough skilled Americans and no Americans want those jobs anyways. Then, on top of that grave insult, now I’m expected to be happy that the same Indian government sucking away our jobs chose of us over China. Well, no, I’m not happy. I’d rather India go steal jobs from China than my own hometown. I mean, I’ve already been called “subtarded” by Elon and Vivek for this stance, so what’s another “stupid” from some random on the internet. Once you realize that you’re absolutely hated for being America First no matter what you do or say, the insults become meaningless.
The H1B visa scam has been going on for years. It’s not that there aren’t American workers that will take those jobs, it’s that big tech knows it’s cheaper to import. It’s a vicious cycle.
There are more common priorities between both countries than there are conflicting ones:
– PRC is a clear and present threat to both.
– PDJT & PMM are naturally nationalistic. Makes discussions easier even when there is disagreement.
– BRICS will implode as each member now negotiates trade directly with USA.
– It seems India understands the geopolitical and economic benefits of alignment with the USA.
– US Tech companies have a narrow window of time to reduce / eliminate reliance on H1-B hires. Invest in US workers and make it happen ASAP. Major technology changes (AI, Quantum computing, ..) provide the perfect opportunity to achieve this.
– my concerns are 2026 and 2028. How easy / difficult will it be for the next president to reset everything?
Very easy since the GOP is not even bother to try to codify any of the changes; they are no different than the Dems. And the Dems are using the GOP as shields to take the fall for all of the failing in Congress. It’s the same damn cycle every time the GOP gets control: nothing gets done from a conservative perspective while all of the progressive crap still gets pushed and passed (at a slowed rate to fool the fools in the public domain), Dems use it to gain seats in mid-terms, then there’s a lame session for two years while progressive crap is pushed and passed (still at the slower rate), and then a Dem wins the WH. And BAM full speed ahead again.
Outstanding. It would be good to see this one announced shortly.
India has a border with China and they have had hot skirmishes as recently as 2020. Their border is 2100 miles compared to the US/Mexico border of 1954 miles. I would believe that all three countries would generally try to keep the remaining two from forming too strong of a relationship.
That said, there are probably more Indians living in the U.S. than there are in China, giving us a natural advantage in relationships.
china also partner’d with pakistan on energy transport routes

Note particularly verse 14:
14 This is what the Lord says:
“The products of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush,
and those tall Sabeans—
they will come over to you
and will be yours;
they will trudge behind you,
coming over to you in chains.
They will bow down before you
and plead with you, saying,
‘Surely God is with you, and there is no other;
there is no other god.’”
People have no idea how pathetic China actually is. They have a measly 7 trillion USD spending power compared to the US 27 trillion. People think just because China has over a billion people (supposedly, as lots of evidence coming out suggest they have less than that actually) yet barely half of them even have money to spend on things. Shanghai, one of China’s “elite” cities, has a lower per capita GDP than Mississippi.
They are a paper dragon and thankfully, Trump knows it and is proving himself right….again.
Japan holds the largest portion of our debt followed by China and the UK. I consider none of these countries as friends. Especially with Japan threatening to dump $1T in Treasuries this week. As long as we’re beyond broke, we are weak. Expect the printing presses to kick off this summer … perhaps coinciding with the BRICs meeting in Rio.
China depends 100% on foreign investment to function. The notion they could “turn out our lights” is simply ignorance to the reality they are a Potemkin village propped up by foreign dollars and propaganda.
Japan’s economy is a few degrees away from collapse along with societal decline with a literal dying population. They are in no position to call in anything, especially as with China, they depend on foreign dollars coming in to stave off a severe depression. Trump’s tariffs are further warning not to F- with us.
BRICS is a pipe dream of losers who have countries that are largely third-world outside of their capitals.
We have problems here in the US but much of our weakness is overstated to puff up other countries’ while ignoring their own horrific conditions. Americans are complaining of more expensive Amazon junk; Asians will complain about not eating.
“Especially with Japan threatening to dump $1T in Treasuries this week.”
Japan can not, will not, it would be committing suicide. The comments that you report are just answers to directed questions. Japan is in the process of making it very clear they will not do that.
The beginning of the end for BRICS.
It was never anything of value.
The biggest threat to a free and prosperous USA are the Democrats and globalist RINOs.
Trump has to fight them as well as China.
Now get deals with Japan and South Korea and he EU will have to fall in line and then China is screwed.
We trade and bayjing fades.😀👍
London hardest hit.
The junk we get from India will be sub standard for a long time, maybe forever. Geopoliticaly, this is a win.
It took a long time for Japan to work it’s industrial quality up to USA expectations. It took a long time for China to work it’s industrial quality up to USA expectations. So to will it be with India.
As some may already know, I once studied ,lived and worked in the US (on an H1-B !) but am back home in India now. I still follow US politics closely and find the current events to be very fraught and interesting at the same time
I would take all this “news” with a grain of salt .. the harsh truth is that Big Panda is not going away any where any time soon…We had almost 118 billion USD in bilateral trade last year alone with them…
Even though India China ties are still uneasy and awkward given our long-standing border disputes and recent clashes in Galwan, we still import a lot from China. Imagine if the relationship improved even a little bit.. bilateral trade would pick up more momentum.
To quote Sundance, i would like to live in non pretending reality…and that reality means India will have to deal with China ,warts and all.
India will look to continue paying for all energy/oil imports in a non USD currency as it has been doing for the last 3 plus years ..our currency has devalued by more than 100% against the USD in the last three decades and we are looking for energy deals in which the settlement currency is non USD .
It would be a truly glorious day if we were able to trade with each other in a neutral medium of exchange (like Gold) without the backdrop of the new Cold War.. I will include Russia and Japan in this too..
However we are far removed from that. I only pray that this arrangement doesn’t become one more British scheme of divide and conquer but am afraid that it
MAGA Fabulous!!
Thanks, Sundance!
