As if on cue, a short article from the Chamber of Shipping notes that cargo from China is being rerouted to avoid tariffs.
The destination of the cargo is, wait for it,… CANADA!
USCoS – As U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods soar to as high as 145%, a growing number of companies are rerouting shipments to Canada and storing them in bonded warehouses in hopes of avoiding the duties and capitalising on a future rollback. This strategy has caused a sharp spike in Chinese shipments to Canada, with logistics firms and customs brokers reporting surging inquiries and storage demand from consumer goods, chemical, and auto parts sectors. However, experts caution that prolonged storage costs—estimated at $1,750 per container per week—and limited warehouse capacity could force sellers to offload discounted goods into the Canadian market, potentially disrupting domestic manufacturing. Others warn the strategy is risky and unsustainable, especially if the trade conflict drags into next year’s U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement negotiations. (link)
This will not end well….
… For Canada.

Vancouver will be floating in Chinese junk !
Not just Vancouver. Canada is rapidly finding out how it is being the tail of a Chinese pit bull. There is not much chance of the tail wagging the dog in that mess
During my truck driving “career” , I made that trip from Vancouver to Toronto and points east. It takes one day to cross the Rockies in the States. In Canada it takes 3 days. And then ya gotta get thru the rest of Canada. Believe me, even those lefty’s in Eastern Canada are gonna be paying for trans-shipped Chinese junk. I wouldn’t want to be a Canook these days
Inspections of Canadian inbound U.S trucks should be increased at the U.S. POE’S (Port of Entry).
Once worked for a trucking outfit out of Missoula MT.
After a somewhat lengthy investigation, it was shut down (then out of bidness) for not including certain “items” from Canada on it’s inbound U.S. manifest.
Nothing says the cargo coming to Canada, from CHI-NA, will not be secretly diverted into the U.S. (vs storage in Canada).
Especially, using the PARS/PAP systems (Pre-arrival Review System) and PAPS (Pre-Arrival Processing System), which are used to, essentially,
“pre-authorize” Canadian cargo to cross without inspection.
The outfut in Missoula a was a trusted carrier…
Until it wasn’t.
Same goes for Customs Companies.
You’re probably right. I did oversized stuff. My job was driving and the crew boss did all that “official stuff”. It would take an hour or more to get off the border. Of EVERY province ! Some pretty good meals up there tho!
You’re right. Just make every vehicle subject to inspection..no pre-authorized passes, no EZ passes. ALL VEHICLES and TRAINS subject to inspection. Put the military on the border, pulling them from shitholes like Germany and the UK
Sundance is a super sleuth! Thank you for reporting this.
The pungent odor of garlic will now be more prevalent in Vancouver.
One day at a time….
The layers come away, revealing the character, motives, and loyalties of everyone.
Frankly the biggest hurdle is not the defeating of China, or the deep state, or even the Uniparty/WEF. It is realigning/awakening the world view of the American people to the Truth and the principles by which to live, so that they can make good decisions about how to live daily, who to do business with, and how to direct the constitutional Republic that we still have.

yes. Education and Virtue are
sorely lackingnonexistent in young citizens of the USAThe core of the problem lies within ourselves. They can’t learn it if we are not teaching and living it. In other words; lead by example.
I think Bill Ayers fixed the schools, starting in his home town, Chicago. All they teach is anti-American and white children are lucky if they can stay alive.
Look for the picture of Romney sr with that piece of dog scat Saul Alinsky from long ago. If pictures tell a story that one really got to me.
You are knocking the young with a broad brush.
Agreed, there has never been as much support from conservatism (and religion) from the youth than there is now. Charlie Kirk is getting massive turnout at his campus visits.
This was always my dream, that President Trump would usher in a renewed appreciation for our founding goals and conservative beliefs.
It happened with Ronald Reagan, it seems President Trump is having an even larger impact on today’s youth.
I love that so many of the DOGE team are young and interested in curtailing government waste and abuse.
Agreed 👍
Many of the, if not most of the young are good chain reasoners. Even with youthful myopia they see consequences. Their cores are rational thinkers. Of course half of them are below average. Their average is better than ours. We have more loony lefties than they do. Theirs are just easier to spot because of the nose rings and purple hair and constant screaming. Our gen lefties trained them to be like that.
I do not agree that it is nonexistent. Factually there was a big swing of 18-29 year old voters towards President Trump and the Republicans in 2024 relative to how the same cohort voted in 2020 (20 percentage points if I am not mistaken). My son and his wife are in that age bracket and he told me he didn’t know a single friend that hadn’t seen through the Democrats and all of them voted for Trump. I agree, however, that much work needs to be done to educate more of them…
The core of the problem lies within ourselves. They can’t learn it if
we are not teaching and living itthey can’t find it on a phone’s screen. In other words;lead by examplemost are a lost causeYou paint with a broad brush. I can’t believe my grands are the only exception to your statement.
And my grands, too,Lindy. All smart, young conservatives. I am so proud of them all.
The key word here is smart. A massive part of our population are dumb as rocks and that won’t change until the demoncrats make them Hangry!
I’m not denying that there are some really great kids out there. A majority of them can be found working on the few remaining family farms in this country.
The issue I’m addressing is that those types of kids should be the rule across the country, not the exception.
I think you are correct. Way to broad a brush. The grands are fine. It works this way. The older allways think the young are idiots and the young allways think the older are stupid fossils. It is natural. Were it not, everyone would be living in moms basement eating cheetos and trolling comment sections with their agentic bot armies like the left does.
There seems to be hope with GenZ. I have seen many TicTock videos of very young people saying they are not fooled by the dems.
Back up your statement.
Recruiting #’s for military and 1st responders at all time high. And its not from oldsters, its Americas Youth.
President Trump carried the youth vote, by 30 pts.
Christian College student associations haveing record attendance at their events.
There is much reason to be optimistic that our next generation are hearing and respinding to the call.
And the younger generations are, for example, around the world joining The Church, and are especially interested in the Traditional Latin Mass.
They see tradition, values, and family, among other good things!
“We should all hold ourselves to proper data”.
“Isn’t it ironic” as Alanis M famously sang to read this admonition from a person who offered ZERO inked sources ie “proper data” so others could verify their claim that Dman was “factually incorrect”?
My answer is YES, it IS ironic.
Unsurprising.
And amusing.
Here ya go.
Americans under the age of 30 voted for Harris by 4 points (50 percent Harris – 46 percent Trump), though young men and women diverged dramatically, with men under 30 voting for Trump by 16 points (41 percent Harris – 57 percent Trump), and women under 30 voting for Harris by 24 points (59 percent Harris – 35 percent Trump).
Ref. https://navigatorresearch.org/2024-post-election-survey-gender-and-age-analysis-of-2024-election-results/
Looks like the young women fell for the Leftwing BS far more than did the young men. I’m guessing that support for Harris was almost ALL based on her pro-abortion and “compassionate” pro-transgender policy.
A good guess. That has been my experience.
I suspect, if those are verifiable facts, that those numbers indicate a stable percent for Trump in rural areas and a massive gain for Trump in suburban and urban areas. It would be helpful if you would list your source-I enjoy dissecting sources to understand the methods and biases.
How can you believe any poll?
How can you inform any troll?

” virtues sorely lacking inyoung citizens”
What an endearing way to describe boomers and their shadows.
Thank God for the USA’s Light Hearted zoomers who out voted the boomers so PDJT was re elected and went on to serve on Elons DOGE Bro Teams.
I have been reading these insults directed at boomers for several years now but I’m going on 76 and I don’t know a single senior – family or friends & social acquaintances – near my age who wants anything but what President Trump represents and has brought during his first term and now his second term. They all hated Biden & Harris with genuine disgust. Admittedly, outside of family, most of my friends & acquaintances are men.
I’m sure there are still some moronic Democrat boomers since a good percentage of our age group bought into the Democrat-fueled feminist and anti-Establishment mentalities during the 60s, 70s and 80s. But Reagan won two elections by significant margins and Boomers were significant parts of both majorities.
This source of 2024 votes by age groups shows that both young women and senior women voted overwhelmingly for Harris, while the same age groups of men voted for Trump.
So let’s reserve the boomer criticism to 54% of the boomer ladies, please. The majority of boomer men are voting conservatively.
I am 77 now and I appreciate your post as good information. At home my source is my wife and most of her companions are old retired school teachers who I expect voted for biden and harris. No military veterans in any of their families. The last administration was very sad and damaging for the world’s respect of Americans…bill
You MUST take in account the cheating. I can only guess 20 million or so. “To big to rig”.
True. I’m sure a LOT of seniors votes were stolen. Seniors in assisted living facilities or living with family but who can’t get out are vulnerable to being defrauded. And there are a lot of those situations
Navigating a flood of biased reporting including selection bias makes it very difficult for experienced mature adults to discern the truth much less for inexperienced young adults busy working to establish their careers and lives.
There is a fair amount of idiocy of those over 40 as well.
I disagree..the younger generation stepped up to the plate in large numbers to vote for President Trump
I believe this is PDJT’s greatest and still ongoing accomplishment. More and more people on the Trump train.
Agreed!
However there are a great number of affluent individuals around our Greater Vancouver communities.
Toronto too.
We spend a great deal of time at a cottage on the east coast of Vancouver Island.
The village has a population considerably less than 10K.
We were just in from snooping around a new development in the village..all but one of the 17 units are sold, two of the penthouses went for $2.2 million.
There is nothing in the village. Except a respite from the congestion and expense of Greater Vancouver.
Around here there will be ultra wealthy and poor within a generation or two…our middle/working class will have vanished.
Sucked in by government B.S.
We know a bit about ocean going freight, and spoke with local international ships pilot earlier today.
He is working 7 days a week, and all hours that he is physically able.
Massive numbers laden of ships are headed to Vancouver B.C.
Cheers!
This is not to avoid tariffs, this is to avoid paying per ship penalties.
Partly true shipping penalties as you will be aware are significant.

U.S. Proposes Port Fees on Chinese-Built Ships and Operators to Counter China’s Shipping Dominance
Holland & Knight Alert
Ronald A. Oleynik | Sean T. Pribyl | J. Michael Cavanaugh | Jovi Tenev | Ashleigh T. Higgs
Highlights
“The U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has proposed new fees on vessels operated by Chinese ship operators or built in China calling on U.S. ports as a means to counter China’s dominance in the maritime sector and bolster U.S. shipping interests.
The new proposal includes a $1 million per U.S. port call fee on Chinese vessel operators and a $1.5 million fee per U.S. port call for Chinese-built vessels.
A service fee would be instituted on each U.S. port call by vessel operators, regardless of their nationality or vessel flag, with vessels on order from Chinese shipyards.”

None of this matters while the FBI and CIA still exist.
Trump is losing badly on the domestic front with Congress and the Judiciary in full resistance mode and the IC still in firm control of the shadow government.

Sally’s right. Econ/Finance/Fiscal policy is short game relative to the IC/Israel game.

So, knock down a Shiff or Pelosi, for intance, and there will be another by, shortly.
Defenestrate Chyna, the EU, and our own Neocons, and the Shiffs and Pelosis got nothing.

Who didn’t see this coming?
This sounds like something China would do if they were calling the shots
Praying fervently for President Trump to make CANADA pay an even heavier price than just higher tariffs.
.
An enabler of such a dastardly deed must be treated very harshly and no mercy whatsoever.
.
To me such a deed is just short of an open act of war.
It wouldn’t be a very long war.
President Trump is not desirous of a kinetic war anywhere but he’s willing to go to economic war, no question.
As said at the start of this thread, FAFO.
Interesting how even more resources will likely be pulled from the least content region of Canada to shore up the others. That won’t go over well, I suspect.
Canada sans Alberta would be become even more of an economic basket case then it is now.
There will not be an establishment conservative to quell the local’s discontent this time around and reaffirm the prior status quo by promising reform and then not delivering it.
Kinetic peace is of course the prize.
.
Make the leftist leaders in Canada say uncle through all possible means of economic leverage.
What say President Trump APPLIES the Tariffs to ALL-IN COSTS before hitting USA Borders, INCLUDING
• Canadian Port Fees
• Canadian Warehousing Fees
• Canadian Logistics
• Canadian-Entity Taxes, etc.
It’s obviously not a move that someone with a winning hand would find necessary to play. The fact that China and its sidekick, Canada, are resorting to this, reeks of desperation. Do they really think that Trump is going to believe that all of those goods are from Canada? Of course not. So why do it? Desperation. I know China is in bad shape, but they must be even more fragile than we thought.
Speculation: We’re JUST BEGINNING to see China’s TRADE-WAR SYMPTOMS, before they METASTASIZE.
China’s entire LOGISTICS NETWORK of ships, ports, railways, railroad yards, highways, warehouses & plants are likely PACKED to the GILS with Inventory and Containers like CLOGGED ARTERIES, with NO RELIEF in SIGHT.
Compound the SUPPLY CHAIN IMPACTS from OVERLAPPING ECOSYSTEMS of mining to materials processing to component suppliers to manufacturers and assemblers!
Triple the SERVICE CHAIN IMPACTS from Manufacturing Services to Business Services to Retail Services.
Quadruple the WORKING CLASS IMPACTS … feeding the CONSUMER ECONOMY IMPACTS…
It’s like 5pm on the LA freeway.
Those cheap products were already made. They have to find a place somewhere for them. “ Hell, let’s ship them to Canada “. Why not!!
This was from President Donald J Trump’s first term. He called out Canada & Co as “robbers”
“At the G-7 summit in Canada, President Donald Trump described America as “the piggy bank that everybody is robbing.”
After he left Quebec, his director of Trade and Industrial Policy, Peter Navarro, added a few parting words for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau:
“There’s a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump and then tries to stab him in the back on the way out the door. … And that’s … what weak, dishonest Justin Trudeau did. And that comes right from Air Force One.””
Behind Trump’s Exasperation
https://buchanan.org/blog/behind-trumps-exasperation-129460
I remember that.
And remember where PDJT was headed after flying out early from the G7 Confab in Canada?
PDJT was on his way to see Xi in Beijing.
While in Beijing, PDJT was given a history shattering honor; a private dinner with his friend in The Emperors Palace aka The Forbidden City.
From AI: The phrase “no plan survives contact with the enemy” is often attributed to Helmuth von Moltke, a Prussian Field Marshal. Moltke expressed this idea in a longer form, stating, “No operations plan reaches with any certainty beyond the first encounter with the enemy’s main force,” which is commonly paraphrased as “no plan survives contact with the enemy.”
This rule applies universally.
Mike Tyson shortened that phrase, “Everyone has a plan, until they get punched in the face! “
Great comment. PDJT was always a huge Boxing fan and a friend of Mike Tyson.
It seems a valid saying in its way, but the key may lie in one’s definition of what a plan is. Strategies are not highly changeable, as long as they continue to be good. Meanwhile, within any battle, tactics need to be as flexible as all the wildly changing conditions that they face. This merely means that no one should worry that “plans” must change constantly in the heat of battle, at the tactical level, while the strategy may not need to change. Tariffs are a good example, for they lay down a broad strategy which, if it proves good, will succeed. In the meantime, the tactics of how high a tariff for whom and when is a constant shifting of the levers, a play of tactics to ensure the path to success. A “plan” as stated in the saying seems far too simplistic, as if strategy and tactics are all the same thing.
As PDJT recently said, “I never FORGET” (where he’s headed) “but I’m always flexible about how I get there”.
This was in reference to a reporters question about his tariff plans but obviously it applies to everything he does.
Those who peddles nonsense narratives about PDJT being stupid, disorganized and impulsively rash are deceivers or one of those they were able to deceive.
It’s simple, the U.S. should EMBARGO ANY Chinese goods coming out of Canada and Mexico in my opinion!
You would have to stop and inspect thoroughly (ever bar code – every pallet – every individual piece)
E V E R Y truck
entering the U.S..
And after all the inspection bays at the Ports of Entry were full of contraband, there would be no further ability to inspect.
And, with no room for further inspection, the border (wrt cargo) would essentially be
C L O S E D
> storage costs—estimated at $1,750 per container per week
Really? What planet are they on? They’re welcome to store a few in my back yard at those rates.
Yep.
Bonded warehouse.
https://www.bdc.ca/en/articles-tools/entrepreneur-toolkit/templates-business-guides/glossary/bonded-warehouse
From the link…
“A bonded warehouse is a warehouse operated by a private company in a foreign country under the regulatory supervision of that country’s customs agency.
Its main advantage is to defer the payment of customs duties.
Like a standard warehouse, bonded warehouses let businesses store their goods closer to foreign customers for faster delivery, with the advantage of pushing out the payment of custom duties until the goods are released from the bonded warehouse.
They are used for storing imported or exported goods.”
“The destination of the cargo is, wait for it,… CANADA!”
Fortunately, we have never been on friendlier terms with Canada.
So we can count on our great friend, Canada, to immediately end this sneezy China workaround in our favor!!!
They could enter the goods into Customs bonded warehouses here. Same idea. They are up to something.

This is not to avoid tariffs, this is to avoid paying per ship penalties.
Why are Tariffs not targeted on the country of origin? Rerouting would be pointless.
Those with GENUINE QUESTIONS will stay tuned, continue to watch, learn alot and ultimately find out…..
As long as they don’t freak out because they took The Regimes emotionally manipulative toxic bait plus the hidden hooks, line of lies and sinkers.
Good thing I am NOT in charge. I would send in the U.S. drones and have them visit a few warehouses.
So, what happens when TEMU’s <$800 goods have the originating address changed to Canada. Would theDe Minnimis tariff be negated and the questionable goods —cheap by any comparison—continue to exist for Chinese manufacturers?
Biden sanctioned Russia and therefore my “Kaspersky”….why not do the same to Temu?
That’s not a fix. It’s a temporary work around. They still have a big problem.
The comical part is that this *GIVES* Trump even more negotiating power.
The longer this stuff stays locked up and simultaneously siphoning off profit (RAPIDLY!) while leading to eventual LOSS in storage containers, the more power it gives Trump.

The United States will treat Canada’s bonded warehouse transshipment strategy as a breach of the tariff wall. This isn’t about penalties or renegotiation—it’s about quarantining a compromised channel.
If Canada allows Chinese goods to flow through its ports in an attempt to bypass U.S. trade enforcement, then those ports, warehouses, and exporters will no longer be treated as trusted nodes in the North American system.
The U.S. will isolate the Canadian corridor—economically and procedurally—until Ottawa enforces origin integrity or the route becomes irrelevant.
Access to the U.S. market is not unconditional. It comes with responsibilities. And any partner that facilitates adversarial entry will be treated accordingly.

I can still remember Pat Buchanan visiting a New Hampshire Shoe factory and the well paid workers, many of them women, supporting Pat because of his opposition to NAFTA & their worry they were going to lose their jobs because of it. How right he was all along.
Damned Skippy!!
Would be interesting to know what their actuarial tables show when they need to get them sold somewhere and out of warehouse? What is the over/under date certain? I’m sure they can’t wait out Trump to 2028 and probably not even November 2026 in hopes of a better outcome. Is it a few months……weeks?
Didn’t sundance’s recent article mention July for the trade war with Canada?
There may be the answer to you question…just guessing of course.

On guard until they collapse into the deadly arms of their UKEU masters, perchance?
Any surprise? Canada has been leaning China for quite some time. Guess they’re on the way to becoming like NK.
I for one would love to see said product paying a tariff to cross Alberta 😅 .
President Donald J Trump’s America First credentials go way back.
“Going back to the Wharton School of Business, Donald Trump is one notable alumni from the prodigious institution. The business school was founded by the industrialist Joseph Wharton for the sole purpose of teaching protectionism to aspiring economists and entrepreneurs. Specifically, he said the school would teach
Wharton deplored free trade, calling it a “fungus . . . a source of infection which healthy political organisms can hardly afford to tolerate.” Tariffs, on the other hand, “can defeat the foreign plunderer . . . better than a fort.””

Great analogy
China hasn’t paid workers since January.
Canada is incapable of sustaining itself without the US Market and the Chinese production.
China has 4 Million unemployed in the last 7 days.
Canada is facing auto factory shutdowns, layoffs, etc.
Canada can’t defend itself, feed itself, power itself, employ itself, meet NATO obligations, nor survive without the US market.
It might be inconvenient for the US in the short term, but in the longer term, China and Canada will fold and come to the table to get the best deal that Trump will allow.
It will be painful and ugly, but it has to happen to rebalance trade. Politically and financially, the US doesn’t need a 51st beggar state or socialist state.
I’m not ready to accept any of these stories “at face value.” I know that things are extremely disrupted right now, and with that I know to expect: “propaganda.” From every side.
I will continue to watch, and form my opinions later.

One big area of concern. Most wars including religious war are started over economics. The Shaw of Iran was overthrown not for religious reasons but he was ending the Satrap system of nobility owning villages and sending tax collectors. Religion was excuse money was the reason.
He stopped paying the salaries of mullahs nationwide [separation of church and state], and the mullahs instantly became his bitter enemies. That was the Shah’s biggest mistake.
I am virulently anti Carnage and is well aware that we in Canada are a mess and in for a rude awakening.
However we can feed and power ourselves.
We export oil,gas and electricity.
Wheat..goodness me have you seen our prairie farms..Alberta oil/gas capital of Canada, tremendous agriculture too.
Poultry, Beef, Pork and fish are in abundance.
Root vegetables, seasonal fruit too.
Here in B.C. We have hundreds of acres ( likely thousands) of greenhouses full of tomatoes etc.
Citrus fruits will be a challenge..as California is a significant supplier.
However Costa Rica and Mexico are large suppliers.
Cheers!
For the good people of Canada like yourself, Dekester, I am glad to hear this.
Most of the majority populations of Earth would prefer freedom.
And for this, America and PDJT are now a brilliant example from which they can derive courage and hope.
I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, especially when it comes to human suffering. However, what is your growing season like? And also importantly, most importantly perhaps, what is your interstate transportation like?
And let us not forget the ludicrous to the point of malicious quota system.
Those will be most important in the coming months.
This is gonna be fun as heck to watch play out. Glad to be on this team, especially at THIS time! (*pops open a cold beer*) 😉

A cascade of errors!
“A cascade of errors”
As a PNW native, thanks for sharing a reaction that includes such a geographically apt and witty use of the word “cascade”.
Was this ” cascade of errors” caused, perchance, by what satirist Jonathan Swift referred to as “the confederacy of dunces” who always try to thwart anything a genius tries to do, which is how you can tell for sure that the person theyre trying to thwart truly IS a genius?
Bottom line, ❤ Very Stable Genius, POTUS 45-47.
Won’t work. Goods with China origin, shipped to Canada to be imported later into the US still hold their Chinese origin.
US customs can simply demand a CoO (Certificate of Origin) for every shipment that is shipped from Canada into the US.
The companies who try to do this will have no other option in the end than to import these chinese goods into Canada and sell them on the Canadian market, resulting in lower prices because the market will be more than overflown.
Play stupid games and win stupid prices, with bankruptcy as the ultimate jackpot.
All the rest of the ‘civilized’ world need the USA much more than the USA needs them. If all imports from ANYWHERE were subjected to high tariffs, the USA would suffer over the short term, but ultimately wind up in much better shape.
Oi Canada!
Good one!
How about applying same tariff for the CCP-Great White North as the CCP?
The Fenians had the right idea all along. My friend Maquis would love their story and their attacks against the crown through Canada
Oh Canada…The USA has called you out for what you are. A parasite and nothing more.
145% tariffs coming to the snow mexicans!
Didn’t Trump’s EO specifically tell Treasury to prevent this? I seem to recall that is the case.
Yes
Tariffs will apply based on the country of origin of merchandise, regardless of the place of final shipment or nationality of the importing company.

I just was notified a suppler I use that makes custom garments in China had closed up its China plant and moved operations to Vietnam. A lot of their items came in via the de minimis rule
It will be interesting to see how long it takes for China to break..
Come on photoshoppers. Get one of a cut off finger in about 2-3 months
Carney needs to be very, very careful. But with a big Euro WEF ego probably not.
This is what happens when you allow government to run your lives rather than you running it. China, Canada, EU are cooked! They tried wiping out the global elderly with COVID, but it wasn’t enough for what is coming.
“China is rapidly aging, and is facing a demographic time bomb—a “Japanification” of its society but with 10 times the population size.
Because of this, there will be fewer young workers paying into the safety-net system. China’s Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) estimates the government-run pension system will run dry by 2035. The structure of China’s economy is such that there are very few jobs for its youngest workers—those needed to keep the social security system in the black. But last month, one out of every five 16-to-24-year-olds was jobless”

They had a patriot MAGA political drive near where I live a few weeks ago. Looking to get great MAGA people to run for local offices.

After last week’s election our neighbor to the north is now officially known as “Chinada.”
I have not been to Lucianne.com in a long, long time…but have been bored…came across this Epoch Times article linked by Lucianne.com:
https://www.theepochtimes.com/us/temu-stops-shipments-from-china-after-trump-ends-de-minimis-exemption-5851468?utm_source=Bright&src_src=Bright&utm_campaign=bright-2025-05-03&src_cmp=bright-2025-05-03&utm_medium=email&est=E0Ju3nSkxzHHaWv88JSefODdb32yqxwckkU2kDCG7B0uyfyCY9KLq75LFdefK2g%3D
The article mentions a US holding company “On Friday, Temu, which is run by a U.S.-based subsidiary of PPD Holdings, said in a media statement released to The Epoch Times that the platform is transitioning “to a local fulfillment model.”
And
“Temu’s pricing for U.S. consumers remains unchanged,” the May 2 statement said. “All sales in the U.S. are now handled by locally based sellers, with orders fulfilled from within the country.”
And…“Temu has been actively recruiting U.S. sellers to join the platform,” To help local businesses ‘grow their business’….
Interesting info….validating the prepositioned status of products?
Yes, very interesting.
If I were a small American business owner I would be very wary of linking up with Temu.
Didn’t they specifically craft their app to hand the CPP all the personal info they could glean from our devices?
I read that some time ago…
Commies that play together should stay together…I still haven’t forgotten how Canada was a refuge for the scum U.S. draft dodgers during the Viet Nam war.
China and Canada insists on FAFO. And they will.
A poll in Canada just showed that Liberal to Left Canadians want closer relationships with China, the UK and EU.
And to move away from partnership with the US.
They are more in tune with Chinese tyrants, and UK and EU censorship bureaucrats.
Well, then just seal up the northern border..nobody in or out.
Sorry Alaska! About time for large vessels to move personal belongings, vehicles, et cetera, from the lower 48 to Alaska and back.
