Here’s the problem with the argument on “due process.” We generally agree that anyone physically present in the U.S. is “subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” So, if illegal aliens are, indeed, subject to U.S. laws, regulations, and rules then they are very likely allowed to exercise normal legal process rights. I will be delighted if someone out there can cite where in the U.S. Code and/or Code of Federal Regulations it says otherwise.
They have human rights but do not have legal standing even though our courts have bastardized and twisted our laws to in effect give them almost the same standing as citizens. Your progression is not logical, yes a cop has to enforce the law on everyone but no that does not mean an illegal has the rights of a citizen.
But when you speak of the criminal gangs its like our legal system is protecting a gang of cutthroat pirates who are here to rape, pillage and steal and destroy society. You don’t protect pirates, we’re playing nice (recognizing their human rights) by deporting them instead of executing them.

In fact, OVER 90% of illegals never show up for their assigned court date given to them when they are processed at the border. This is true of illegals who have been living in America for 5, 10 15, 20 or ??? years. This is called contempt of court, which signifies disregard for our American judicial system.
In fact, majority of illegals who do commit crimes, never show up for any court dates if they are released on bail or their own recognizance. Usually if the crime is a serious felony, the released illegal is gone with the wind, or south of the border until things cool down. Where was the “due process” for these executed individuals? And if you try and offer the excuse that these incidents happened during a declared time of war then I will give you two thoughts to ponder.

I once had an argument with an AARP exec about taxes. I was grousing tgat trust fund babies like Teddy Kennedy paid little in taxes and the Middle Class gets screwed (this was in 1986) and his reply was “That’s (middle class) is where the money is!” Well, no more. In the past 39 years they have managed to destroy the middle class’prosperity.

I was shocked to see that the AARP brought the appeal to SCOTUS to suspend deportation of Venezuelans. I haven’t belonged for years over their politics. How I hope someone puts them on blast and people dump AARP in droves.
I dumped AARP when they promoted the ACA. Enough said.
I wish DOGE could audit AARPs and ascertain how many of their millions of ‘Members’ are actually paid up members. I suspect it is a lot less than 100%.

How does one determine if an accused is in fact illegal or not? Through due process.
If we don’t extend that right to all people who are physically here, we deny it to ourselves.

We have immigration courts. Use them. No need to throw the baby out with the bath water.

The use of the phrase “due process” has become so ambiguous as to come “double think”. When anyone American or not a Supreme Court Justice or a maintenance worker is stopped by a police officer asked to produce a driver’s license and summarily deported from their automobile they have had the requisite “due process “for that situation. If federal agent stops an individual and summarily proceeds to deport them and the individual claims American citizenship and is indeed so and is deported then they have been denied “due process “. If the individual is not an American citizen then they have been have no constitutional right to be here and under the law they are just a guest who can be asked to leave or summarily taken into custody and forcibly deported without having the judicial system involved at all. This power over noncitizens is a plenary power of the executive branch and non judicial meaning outside the scope of the powers granted to the judicial branch under the constitution.
There is nothing civilized about allowing your country to be overrun by the uncivilized.

Still, if someone is here illegally, the only due process they are eligible for is (a) the determination of their illegal alien status and any process involved with it and (b) deportation. THIS is what all civilized and lawful countries do. Try entering Canada or Japan illegally and see what happens!!
