Steve Witkoff is one of the most important people within the administration. Witkoff plays the key role of emissary and envoy for President Trump carrying his message to designated ears and returning with information.
It is certainly frustrating to the global operatives of the CIA not to have the ability to influence and control the messaging and information flow from and around President Trump. The remainder of the interview, approximately one-third, focuses on the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
Tucker Carlson also emphasizes the U.S. media attacks against Witkoff, which I would say are significantly overstated (motive unknown), distractingly so. Overall, a great insight into Steve Witkoff, President Trump and the peace agenda of the Trump administration, while simultaneously (oddly) you can sense Tucker Carlson is engaged with Witkoff with an intent to shape the conversation. I made the decision to trust my instincts and travel to Russia last year for 3-months of research. The reason was so we could discuss with clear-eyes and non-pretending terms the opportunities and challenges for the Trump administration in 2025.
I came away from Russia with an understanding the people there feeling sorry for the USA as they looked at our 2024 political dynamic. The Russian Federation is not organized as an enemy of America or the American people. The Russian Federation is an enemy of the CIA.

I’m (we’re) curious Sundance : in spending months doing research, how is it they did not view (or worse) you as some kind of spy ? Did you have to announce your intentions ? Reveal you are the operator of CTH ? Were your activities monitored ?
I imagine that any American visiting Russia was monitored to some extent. And that’s understandable considering the situation. But I also imagine that those watching are able to discern the intent of someone visiting to learn how the Russian people are faring versus seeking intelligence to be used for military or political manipulation reasons.
Russia does not conduct domestic surveillance. There is one-tenth the amount of police state surveillance in the Russian Federation, compared to the USA. However, what they do monitor openly and very publicly, is immigration documentation.
I was detained on arrival at the airport for approximately 90 minutes. Questioned, photographed, fingerprinted and then allowed to continue through passport checkpoint with my previously approved visa. Once inside Russia, there was totally free movement, with absolutely no monitoring.
I know with certainty I was not monitored.

Of course, I couldn’t leave my family here, and I couldn’t imagine giving up American citizenship. But, boy howdy, is our country corrupt and rotten to the evil core. When Trump made it back to the White House, I had hope we could turn things around. He sure seems to be working at lightening speed! Getting rid of the Department of Education is a great step! Let the states decide. Then, let people choose where to live. No more mandatory, federally enforced, brainwashing of the children. At least I hope that is the outcome.

That said, in connection with the conversations about Hamas, Iran, Hezbollah, et al. one factor wasn’t mentioned. I don’t know if Witkoff, the business negotiator. is naive, or whether he’s just publicly for this interview doing the mediator thing, maintaining a benificent good-for-all negotiating posture, as mediators do.
I think it is a mistake, even arrogant, to assume that all persons in all cultures and creeds want the same thing for themselves and their children and people as oneself does. It also is a mistake to assume that ulterior motives aren’t deliberately being hidden with fake comraderie and agreement.
On a strictly personal level, yes leaders of the Muslim countries want to assure their own wealth and their country’s stability to cement their own power. But they sit on top of not insignificant populations that regardless of how nice things are or could be economically, are driven by ideological and religious hatred of Christians and Jews (on the front line Israel), and will pose as friendly in order to achieve longer term advantage. It’s not totally different from the China panda thing. Jihad — stealth, civilizational, and violent (whatever works) — comes first.
When Gazans took over self-governance, they took over a fairly functioning territory, were given free access to utilities, productive agriculture, even an airport, plus ongoing billions in aid. What did these people, sitting on a great oceanfront piece of land, do with it.
And when the Ayatollah took over control of Iran from the Shah, what did he do with it. Just another example.
(Similarly, toward my point, albeit without the rabid religious hatred and caliphate desires, how is once-lovely and productive South Africa doing? And how “nice” is China, once totally impoverished to the point that it couldn’t keep itself safe from little Japan?)

He’s being spoon fed pro Russia information. Personally, I believe this is another attack on the presidency of Donald Trump. Witcoff especially is pro Russian, and Trump listens to him. I don’t think Trump has learned yet, what he is up against. The random Judges are not Random but political appointees and DJT haters.

Inspiring interview, on several levels. Worth your time, even if you never gave a hoot about diplomacy.
Tucker has hosted many great interviews, but this one, IMHO, takes the cake.
As I listened while doing manly duties (finishing up the plumbing on my water heater replacement) I realized that President Trump could not have hired a better man for the tasks that Mr. Witkoff has been assigned to carry out. He is obviously very wise yet humble, and greatly effective.
When Mr. Witkoff was speaking about the many wins that we are seeing as the result of our President’s character and strength behind his approach to all of the major challenges, the progress we have seen in such a short amount of time, and uttered these words: We can breathe again. I suddenly realized how long we as a nation have been so egregiously constricted, and how that constriction has an affect similar to shortness of breath.
I had to stop for a few minutes and thank God for our many blessings, and His love, mercy, and grace.

I sensed a bit of uneasiness within TC when he put forth questions. I sensed he felt inferior to Mr Witkoff; he seemed small in comparison, uncomfortable. I kept thinking this during the entire interview so I intensely watched him. I don’t know why TC was “off” but he was, and greatly so.
I too was surprised to hear of the “bad press” he stated Mr Witkoff had been receiving. I was so surprised that I intently watched Mr Witkoff’s response and thought he had a slight bit of hesitation before going along with TC’s assessment, but I had thefeeling he had-no choice but to do saw.
I thought TC was in total awe of Mr Witkoff.
Interesting interview. I hope President Trump hasn’t forgotten Qatar’s past duplicity, like Brookings (wholly funded and operated by Qatar) involvement in SpyGate, Qatar’s continued support of the Muslim Brotherhood (of which Hamas is a branch), among others. Maybe they are decent people, but their past actions have so far proven otherwise. Time will tell…
Witkoff’s positive perspectives on Qatar were/are actually shocking to me. Remember, CTH is banned from view in Qatar, and even the U.S. military there cannot access CTH in that duty station.
Qatar is NOT a good actor in the mideast conflict. On this material supposition and presentation, I comprehensively disagree with Witkoff and would love to debate this matter with him. I can only conclude there is some financial relationship between Witkoff and the Qataris that lies behind his views.
Qatar provided safe haven for the 5 key Muslim Brotherhood agitators who were exiled from Egypt, and Qatar was factually the GCC nation that had to be confronted for their support of Islamic extremism by Egypt, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and UAE.
Why Witkoff puts such a positive spin on Qatar, and why Tucker Carlson seemingly affirms and goes along with it is quite odd, given the nature of the discussion. Qatar funds Al Jazeera, the major propaganda wing of the Islamic extremist coalition supported by the Muslim Brotherhood.
Qatar funds the Brookings Institute, which also then funds the operational efforts of all the Lawfare and CIA agencies.
Qatar was also the mechanism used by Clinton/Panetta to send Surface to Air missiles into Libya, which ultimately resulted in the death of Ambassador Chris Stephens during a covert operation to retrieve them.
All of these known facts, put great pause on the review of Steve Witkoff, who -amid other issues- appears to be doing an exceptional job on the Ukraine-Russia conflict. We should watch this carefully with eyes wide open.

Additionally, after listening to the entire interview, there seems to be a certain naivety that Mr. Witkoff has with regards to his belief that all these ME actors have some form of economic pragmatism that’ll (eventually) outweigh their visceral ideology. I don’t believe this is the case, and in the end the ideology will win and continue to drive violence. To wit, what’s happening on the ground in Syria completely repudiates the idea that al-Julani has moderated.

Witkoff & Lutnick interviews were very enlightening and they both have great respect & admiration for President Trump. The conversations were awesome! I wish every American would listen to them.
I’m only partway through the interview, but I don’t see how he can reasonably consider Julani of Syria a changed guy after the slaughter of religious minorities happening there. And I REALLY don’t understand Tucker saying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is “a good guy.” VERY confusing. It also sounds as if they don’t understand the fundamental underlying goals of Islam at all.
