DOGE and government reform head, Elon Musk appears with Larry Kudlow to discuss ongoing events and challenges to both his private enterprises and Trump administration as a result of targeting the Deep State apparatus in Washington DC.
Beginning the interview, Musk notes the X-Platform faced a DDOS attack from Ukraine origin throughout the day on Monday, then the conversation moves to how DOGE is being opposed.
The interview is interesting from the scale and scope of the opposition forces that are attempting to derail the Trump administration, and in the larger picture shows just how extensive the previously hidden malevolent forces are that run the systems of our U.S. government. Segment #1 Below:

The factual matter is that the law was broken – assuming Musk knows by now whether this was an internal engineering/operations problem or not.

I like Kudlow. Watched that interview yesterday. He seemed hesitant to me.
Similarly, it’s almost an affectation the way Elon handles a somewhat probing question by pausing for a pregnant few seconds, staring at the floor or his eyes wandering away from the interlocutor – as though he was processing the ramifications of a question for the first time – and then responding.
Having Elon lead the team doing the hard digging is a big benefit. No question about it. It’s fun watching how the media side of it is being played.

It means something in terms of dealing with run-away Federal debt and playing a role in the President’s key strategy for accelerated GDP growth.
I agree accountability has to figure in at some point; that sooner is preferred to later.
You just exposed the saddest part of all of this. Most if not all of these expenditures are most likely “legal”. Our government has been designed to allow this kind of corruption therefore actually charging a crime will be very difficult. At best you could just fire everyone who participated.

Elon is an interesting guy. He is taking a lot and you can see all the forces aligning against him and Trump. They have collectively tried to insert wedge issues between the two and between various cabinet officials but so far they are all holding strong (Hold! hold!).
I do think though that these forces are being overrun by the daily attacks and discipline of the administration. The problem they have, particularly with Elon, is that I think he is a true believer in saving democracy and wants to establish human intelligence on Mars (multi-planet). He looks at this current battle as an existential battle that must be won. I believe Trump’s larger vision, MAGA, is his consistent vision going back decades and he likely knows this is the last direct opportunity he has to right this ship … so no holds barred and no f*cks given… shows with many of the actions of the leaders he has put into place (not all but I’m willing to give them time… listen to the Elon/Rogan interview when he characterized some of these leaders basically setting up with the department as the enemy)

Traffic analysis is a capable tool. Works even for encrypted traffic. i.e., collect data on normal traffic patterns/loads. Monitor for aberrations. Perimeter defenses can be engineered to do same. Article’s emphasis on upstream containment is accurate.

yes, when elon is good, he’s very good.
the only question i have at this point is if elon’s inner resources are up to the constant, multi-faceted attacks.
i do not question his genius, talent, abilities, or dedication to the job he has been tasked with by PT.
but PT is on a different level of resilience, a stratospheric level, honed by experience and his own personality.
elon has acknowledged he is on the spectrum, the premier autist if you will,
and i think his enemies are shrewd enough to capitalize on that,
trying to get him to make a mistake by overloading him.
i see PT as his psychological mentor, so to speak,

Our family of five’s greatest expenses oscillate between housing and food. Housing is constant—food is highly variable.
If I was advising PDJT, the first thing I’d have gone after was illegals. Without them, all costs go down except labor. The second thing I’d have done is to go after Medicaid, Medicare, and social security fraud. None of these would be big negative disrupters to the economy. USAID would also have to be dismantled because they prop up the deep state and democrats. Lastly, I’d have turned doge loose on the departments, and request a report from them on the things that need to be cut from the departments.
The process so far has seemed haphazard at best and doesn’t target the low-hanging fruit that most Americans would be glad to see disappear, with minimal harm to the economy.
Elon speaks very well. He too, is an imperfect instrument, send by God to help on the side of the Angels. Thank you, Elon, blessings to you.
I have known Elon personally since 2001. I was struck by how down he seems in this interview. This is a seriousness that I rarely saw in him. When he volunteered for this DOGE activity (or did he volunteer?), I wondered how he would fare against such entrenched institutional interests. I can tell from this interview that the Deep State is genuinely giving him a challenge that he didn’t expect.
The problem is it is not only the Democrats. It is also the establishment Republicans that are involved in the corruption. To do it correct, the DOJ will have to start forming Grand Juries around the country, and prosecutors tasked specifically with prosecuting corrupt politicians regardless of party. Only then, can any headway be made in the vast corruption taking place.
