They don’t stand a chance, truly. Despite a few glimpses of possible hope that appeared and disappeared like twinkling remnants of a week-old glitter particle from the happy moment, the entire confab of European Commission participants, NATO alliance members, World Economic Forum pontificators and U.N. supporters of World War Reddit, are not going to force President Trump to put U.S. military troops on the ground in Ukraine to protect their investments.
The group is once again facing the indefatigable pragmaticism of President Trump. Ukraine peacekeeping security is a European issue that should be solved by European peacekeepers, not Americans.
Every member of the EU/NATO assembly, at varying degrees of self-embarrassment, admits publicly now that none of them want to participate in securing Ukraine without U.S. military troops leading the effort. It’s almost ridiculous how entrenched they appear to be on this issue. Does NATO/EU not have any confidence in their own military ability?
CEASEFIRE- In order for the larger conflict to be resolved, there first needs to be a ceasefire – a cessation of hostilities. President Trump and President Putin have discussed this exact point. President Trump has also engaged President Zelenskyy on this issue; however, Zelenskyy is far less willing to end the physical hostility.
The strange assumption that looms in the background, the visibility of something you can see on the face of Trump when he talks about it, is that Zelenskyy fears the ceasefire more than he fears losing thousands more Ukrainians in the bloodshed. This is a current dynamic that needs increased scrutiny, because right now not enough people are noticing. Zelenskyy really seems to fear a ceasefire.

Russia will get a guarantee that Ukraine cannot join NATO.
That means no European ‘peacekeeping’ troops on the ground in Ukraine, which could trigger Article 5 if there were trouble. Europe can ‘promise’ to rush in if Russia attacks again, but that’s just talk.
President Trump said Zelensky “holds no cards.” Russia and the USA will sit at opposite ends of the table and make the deal, while Zelensky and Europe sit on the sides and nod (or grimace) with approval.
President Trump will reestablish normal diplomatic relations with Russia, and will work to integrate them into the economies of the West. The aim is to separate Russia from China’s sinister embrace. Europe will be happy because they’ll get lots of Russian natural gas.
IF peace is established. Russia may allow the West to integrate into their economy in a limited way. But it will never integrate into western economies again. If the west wants to deal with Russia we will have to use Rubles or Gold. Russia will not accept dollars. Nor will they hold reserves of the USD to make payments. We have burned Russia once to many times for then to trust us.
Russia and China are strong allies with a common enemy. They will not be separated by lies from America.

What a bunch of hooey. Ukraine doesn’t have the strongest military in Europe – not even close. Close down NATO – Europe is using it as a continuing threat to Russia and would be useless if Russia really decided to invade.
That is one of the problems. The Ukrainian army is the strongest in Europe and the largest standing army in Europe.
What to do with that armed force when the conflict ends. You don’t send these killers back home and say, “It’s over. Go back home and be poor because there are no jobs you are qualified for in the new Ukraine.”
My recommendation to Ukraine is to make peace with Russia and let Russia give it security guarantees. Russia would rebuild it and rebuild its economy just like they revived their own economy. No other country is interested in the investment it would take. Otherwise, every western country will loot Ukraine until it is a completely failing state.
