Moments ago, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick took the oath of office in the Oval Office as delivered by Vice-President JD Vance.
Secretary Lutnick is going to be a very key component in the MAGAnomic agenda, likely second only to President Trump. Just as Wilbur Ross was key to unlocking the economy in President Trump’s first term, so too is Secretary Lutnick going to play a pivotal role.
Long before President Trump won the election, Howard Lutnick was one of the few people who really understood the construct of MAGAnomics, how economic nationalism was crucial, and how the strategic use of tariffs creates massive GDP growth. The swearing-in ceremony is very uplifting, and both President Trump and Secretary Lutnick are very positive about the future.
At 11:38 of the video below, President Trump holds an impromptu press conference. WATCH:
.

That was an awesome ceremony. It seems they have been friends for quite some time. Lutnick is a great guy and especially because he made sure the families who lost loved ones on 9/11 were taken care of as he rebuilt Cantor.
I really get the feeling that this whole team has been planning for this term…. for some time! They are very well coordinated, on the same message and each dispersed to execute their part of the plan.
It is really exciting to see this all come together 😀
👉Great to see 👀 ALL of President Trump’s economic wolverines ready for action 👈
Would like to see that Lighthizer fellow return to the fold, in some role. Also enjoyed Kudlow as the koala among the wolverines.
I have been watching for them as well. They certainly did a good job in term 45. But I have no complaints thus far of anyone in the cabinet. There certainly is none of the revolving doors we saw before, much more cohesion and synergy.
Those threads God weaves…
You’re right, Observer. A beautiful ceremony which might not have been.
A long friendship, the depth of it was simply a joy to watch.
Makes me think of the heroes assembling to form the Fellowship of the Ring.
There you go
With all this recent talk of FT. KNOX, anybody notice the unusual COLOR of Pres. TRUMP’s TIE???
Yes, I did. I don’t remember ever seeing him wear a tie like that before.
Swearing in of Kash was awesome!
The 9/11 story is wrenching.
I knew Cantor Fitzgerald got wiped out and I knew he was the President but I did not know that story. Heart wrenching indeed. I lived in NJ at the time and sometimes I would take the train to the World Trade Center because I loved that area so much. Like so many I was late that day and had to take the bus.
To this day I cannot view images of that day without becoming overwhelmed with anger. So many have forgotten the horror.
Especially considering it was Bush Crime Family “inside job” !!! (follow the money)
Lutnick’s 9/11 story was amazing. The only reason he wasn’t killed with his employees was because his wife guilted him into taking his son to school that morning. Divine intervention indeed. God had more work for him to do.
What a burden for him to bear though. All of his company lost on one day in such a horrible circumstance. He is a very strong person to be able to turn that around and do what he did while honoring all those he lost and their families.
Imagine—if he can do that on his own (so to speak; surely he had others working with him), what can he do with Trump and his team? The last three days in the market have been tough, but greater days lay ahead.
His brother was up there. It is truly heart wrenching. Listening to all of those Democrats vote no was engaging.
Lutnick appears to be enjoying his time working for MAGA more then any other high profile Trump pick.
I was driving and listened to this on the radio. Mr. Lutnick’s joy and enthusiasm came right through the airwaves!! I could feel it and it made me feel very hopeful indeed.👍🏻🇺🇸👍🏻🇺🇸
Good
I find it curios and amazing that NOBODY has connected the dots that the Hand of God has likely brought these two great men together ….. at THIS point in our collective global existence, to lead with the perspective men gain from having stared into the abyss…. and the realization that they MAY WELL have been CHOSEN to right the ship.
not to mention how serendipitous it is, to have been blessed with the likes of an Elon Musk and a pride of men and women uniquely gifted to help accomplish this Herculean task for the good of Mankind.
THAT is as powerful a motivation as one can have.
we are Blessed.
Just got happy ‘goosebumps’.✝️
-intuitive you are !
I was thinking along the same line but hadn’t formulated the responce. Thank you for the post. I bet there are others we aren’t aware of yet.
But for a fluke of fate, Mr. Lutnick would have been taken from us on 9/11. But for a twist of the turn, President Trump would have been taken from us on the day he was shot. Now the two strengths united for US multiplied. Indeed, the very hand of OUR God. As many, I used to think the American people do not deserve the bad that was dispensed to us. And now with so much good, I know we are being granted this good by God’s grace, not by what we deserve. Forgiven and given Mercy. No questions asked. Let’s GO!
Wonderful comment, Katie – thank you!
Lutnick is a really GREAT GUY!! He definitely adores President Trump.
He certainly is!
MAGA 👊👊❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you, Sundance! 🙂
I think the governor just got a dose of what it is like for women to have men playing in their sports.
Absolutely love Howard!!!
Howard Lutnick = Happy Warrior…I have never seen this man without a smile on his face. He is also brilliant and the true key to our booming economy…
He is a keeper for sure! I have appreciated his input from day one! Our President knows!
A wise person I have a great deal of respect for brings a salient point.
Retailers hardly ever reduce prices and he is doubtful President Trump can deliver on reducing grocery prices for instance.
I agree there may be a time lag but I recall grocers prices going down due to the impact of tariffs in 2019.
Anyone more in tune with economics have opinions ?
Yes, and no. I do recall prices going down on many things after Trump was elected, but SD also makes a valid point
Then he had darn well better cut the taxes on my Social Security or I won’t be able to buy lemons and my Grandson so loves lemon pie and lemon cakes!
Retailers will reduce their prices as costs come down. Otherwise they would not be able to compete against other retailers.
Once gas and Diesel prices drop other prices will follow. Our whole economy is based on cheap energy. The whole Biden inflation spike was caused because he diddled with and drove the cost of energy up. Remember farmers need fuel to produce their crops and in the fertilizers they use.
It was always so frustrating watching the FED screw with the interest rates to “control” inflation. I kept yelling, “It’s energy costs stupid! Get the price of petroleum down!” Once supply side costs start to drop retail prices will be forced down by competition. I love me some competition!
One caveat: This all assumes China doesn’t throw another Bioweapon at us! So solly about wab week!
The point is if inflation is zero, costs, on average, do not come down. Of course, some costs may decrease while others increase. The real question for retail prices is the margin.
Prices “go up like a rocket, come down like a feather.”
Finally, our happy warrior isn’t alone in this conquest, Trump’s circle is fleshing out as he brings in other happy warriors, the positivity and vibe are showing a strong, confident, fearless group with a united front and a singular purpose, I’m so here for it!
It is really becoming more noticeable. We are so blessed.
These two guys Pres Trump and Howard Lutnick seem very comfortable with each other and good friends. I like that. It makes for a formidable team going forward on trade and commerce.
I also have to say Pres. Trump looks especially fine in that black suit and yellow tie. Very stylish and a strong look. I’m liking it!
I think it’s a gold colored tie, to signify the new “Golden Age” for America.
Gold tie is stylish but nothing says “Boss” like a dark pinstripe and Red tie! Always worked for me!
His voice sounded stronger than it did earlier today, also.
Probably took some of the wonder drug… ivermectin!
There is a contagious enthusiasm, excitement and drive for the mission of making America great again. It is so refreshing to witness.
Nice to see another long time New York businessman join the team! There is a certain tenacity, and a true remember of what 9/11 did to our country between these men, and I think that knowledge drives much of what they are doing, which is a good thing, IMHO!
Big fan of Cantor Fitzgerald and big fan of Howard Lutnick. Love to see it.
The end of the video was the best!
He was asked about Germany and their
elections…..his reply—We wish them luck
we have our own problems……!
Epic!!!
👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 😃 🙂 🙂 🙂
Glad to see Lutnick officially joining
the Trump administration.
What a beautiful swearing-in Ceremony! The affection of these two men for one another is beautiful to behold. Mr. Lutnick is beyond words capable of the trust placed in him.
Loved this and love Lutnick. He adores and respects Trump and the feeling is mutual.
He has enormous shoes to fill to replace Wilber Ross. Good luck and God speed Mr. Secretary@
Lutnick is what is known as a happy Warrior.
This is a terrific appointment. I’m unbelievably happy about it. Howard is such a force. I’ve only seen such positive and uplifting commentary coming from him.
You can see MAGA runs deep in him. He is driven man. Yet, when he lost almost all his employees, he became even more driven—and with a Devine purpose. He wanted to rebuild, not just for his sake, or to make more money. He wanted to rebuild to be able to take care of those families that lost so much.
I see that same Devine purpose in him again, for this position. He, just like 47, love this country and realize what this country allowed them to do and become. Neither NEED this job—but both WANT this job. They would do a lot of great things for this country.
I miss Wilbur Ross. I can’t say how much appreciate I have for him. What he did was amazing. He is brilliant. I wanted to see him back in this position. I think because he is getting up in age, he not. My gut feeling is he is STILL heavily influencing decisions. Having said all that, I think that Lutnick will have an even greater impact.
