From Rubio’s perspective, he’s in a big spotlight and capable of using his influence to rebrand the MAGA opinion strongly in his direction – again, really good. JD Vance holds the top spot for the ’28 endorsement as long as he continues to be the firm right hand of the one that matters, President Donald J Trump.
None of the three require any endorsement for financial support, all of the background billionaire players have checkbooks fattening as we speak to deliver the needed funding. However, all of the three require the endorsement for success in the ’28 campaign. This dynamic ensures some really awesome results will flow from all three positioning leaders in the next few years.

Lately, I have watched U*TooB* videos of DeSantis. While he is doing a great job as Florida Governor, the videos IMO are campaign videos – all too obvious. Sundance, have you changed your opinion of Ron DeSantis?
Florida still has the some of the highest property insurance in the country. Florida still uses voting machines. His political moves are like something choreographed for headlines, while the bread and butter issues are not worth his time, since they don’t get media attention.
All three of the above mentioned are career politicians with very little real world experience. While we watch our so called betters groom each one of these maybe someone unexpected will take the MAGA and carry on for Trump. It happened recently.
As a Floridian, he should have been a much stronger voice on election integrity. Not only do we have machines like everyone else, but bloated and false data in the voter rolls. Was involved in the audit efforts in ’21 going on in many states. Florida would have been the perfect state to run an audit – not because of “sour grapes” but since Trump won the state by 2-3 points, and Repubs ran the roost, they could have decided to run an audit “just to be sure” and show the nation we had integrity – and they likely would have found a bunch of voter roll and machine issues – in actuality the state probably went Trump by 6-7 or more points in ’20, and likely had 2-3 congressional seats lost. It would have shined the spotlight on the election issues “even in a Red state… so imagine how much more or worse in a Blue state” – that entire endeavor would have shown great political courage… right, Ron?
Also, as in many states the Repub Party apparatus is not MAGA and plays games and runs like a corrupt institution, so it would have required strong leadership combined with us in the grassroots to begin overcoming this entrenched “mob”

Don’t forget about VA Gov. Glenn Youngkin. He will definitely be in the primary mix. And he has a very good chance of winning. I also understand he was Trump’s number two choice for VP behind Vance.
Honestly I just don’t know how to feel right now. I’m not sure we can trust any of these guys completely; they all seem to have their issues in one way or another. And I think we’re very close to having a lot of problems with AI-enhanced surveillance.

I remember when Rubio tried to retire from the senate. He was out looking for his golden parachute job. He let it be known he wanted to be the commissioner of the NFL. He was offered nothing and basically told he must return to the Senate to secure the Florida seat. After that I felt Rubio was more of a captive of the deep state than a leader of the deep state. Kind of wearing golden handcuffs. I think Rubio sees working with Trump as his opportunity to reverse the field and make the deep state his bitch. I don’t think Rubio has any love or sympathy for his handlers. Whatever their leverage Rubio feels an alliance with Trump protects him and opens the path to what Rubio wants. Be that the presidency or some other prestigious position. Rubio is a physically short small man. He’s vain with a need compensatory power and prestige.
He’s Cuban and they never back down…he admires Trump for his courage under fire and aligns with that strength. I always felt Rubio was a sleeper, never really sticking his neck out too far, but something was smoldering. Like a horse ready to bolt as soon as the gate is left open.
I have no problem giving him the benefit of the doubt. He will rise to the occasion and we may all be pleasantly surprised. After all, he knows where the bodies are buried too.

Note that where he says, “The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens,” he uses the word “parents;” which cannot possibly refer to a single entity such as a father. The word, parents, has to refer to a mother AND a father.
THAT one sentence therein is the ONLY place he is referring to natural born citizens. Therefore, when he refers to children following their fathers, he means the father grants citizenship but not the status of being a natural born citizen.
Furthermore, in 1874, the U.S. Supreme Court found it necessary to legally define the term natural born citizen in order to properly decide the case, Minor v. Happersett. They cited Vattel as defining natural born citizen as “all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens.” Again, note the use of “parents,” meaning a mother AND a father.
It is further noteworthy that at NO time, before or after Minor v. Happersett, has ANY other definition of natural born citizen ever been cited by any U.S. Supreme Court while that same definition used in MvH has been cited several times by various U.S. Supreme Courts throughout that body’s existence.

It’s like the opening first drive of the first quarter of a football game. Team Trump is moving the ball steadily. As former K.C. coach Hank Stram said, “matriculating the ball down the field.”
Four quarters. Four years. So early right now.
Trump is calling the plays. His key players are executing them as designed. All on offense right now.
His term may become a one sided blowout, stimulated by this early momentum. Or it may become more competitive, where defense has to be stout.
It’s really impressive how Trump has used the last four years to dig so deep into the playbook of the swamp. While playing defense against their efforts to destroy him he has been meticulously planning his own game plan.
But his captains have to remember they are only part of the team. And stick to the game plan rather than improvise for personal glory.
Internal competition can stimulate and be good only if the priority is having collective success. And merit will be recognized by results. Whether Rubio, DeSantis, Vance or any other prove themselves the most worthy.
Marco may be a creepy politician, but he certainly seems to have figured out the wind is blowing in the MAGA direction. If he does a good job for his boss, our president, then good for him and us.
As of a week ago, my impression was and still is, Rubio/DeSantis are competing for the VP position when Vance runs.

It took SCOTUS 50 years to correct the Roe v Wade matter; hopefully this issue will be resolved much sooner. Right now, Rubio is 4th in line in succession to the Presidency after Vance, Johnson and Grassley.
