According to the New York Times, President Trump has removed the security detail from Mike Pompeo and Brian Hook, in addition to previous removals for John Bolton. The protective detail came from the U.S. State Dept under the Diplomatic Security Service.
NYT – President Trump revoked security protection for his former secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, and a former top aide, Brian Hook, despite warnings from the Biden administration that both men faced ongoing threats from Iran because of actions they took on Mr. Trump’s behalf, four people with knowledge of the matter said on Thursday.
Mr. Pompeo and Mr. Hook had been part of an aggressive posture against Iran during the first Trump presidency, most notably the drone strike that killed the powerful Iranian general Qassim Suleimani in early 2020.
Mr. Trump also remains under threat because of that action, and his advisers have regularly stressed the seriousness of the situation in the years between his two terms in office.
Mr. Pompeo and Mr. Hook had their security details, which were believed to be provided by the State Department, pulled on Tuesday, one of the people briefed on the matter said. Only if you like to take drugs. I lost 63 lbs, back in 2005 and 2006, by adjusting my diet and burning a lot of calories. I don’t have to do much to keep my weight down since I cut a lot of carbohydrates out of my diet and I push my self out to walk when I get the urges to eat too many snacks. Carbs are the one thing people eat far more of than they did when three meals day was much harder to get. People stoked up on carbs whenever they could find some, because carbs provided quick energy in the form of stored fat. We still eat carbs when we can get them, but that is now way too often.
I did it the hard way but I am well into my 70s now and don’t have to worry about any side affects of drugs I have taken that may eventually kill me. I am shooting for 90 years, but I will be fine with whatever God gives me.

I finally moved to Firefox for my browser and DuckDuckGo(I know… I know…) for my search engine. That cured a lot of things but is very time consuming to convert all my desktop icons from Chrome to Firefox and an even greater PITA to place icons on the task bar. Also am running AdBlocker+ but I was using that with Chrome anyway.
Stand a tall firm piece of cardboard up over the video, wide enough to cover it up and still be able to read the threads without even noticing that diverting video. Works for me.
If you’re on iPhone just click the computer screen in the top left corner, then click “remove distracting items”. I did this last night and got rid of several of those dumb pops and ads on here thinking that they’d be back today. Well, I’m happy to report that they’re still gone. This site is so much easier to read and navigate.
Now if only Sundance would implement dark mode, my eyes could really be comfortable!
Edit: forgot to mention, once you click to hide the distracting items, look at the top of the screen and it will ask which ones you want to hide.

The Awan brothers had quite a racket, they were free to pilfer information from the House and Senate Special Select Intelligence committee members. Yes indeed, the Awan’s set up a server in the office of Senator Xavier Becerra who is, as you know, currently the Director of the United States Health and Human Services who wields immense power when there is a “National Emergency” proclaimed by the President of the United States and the Awan’s used that server to send out each and every day, what their spyware gleaned from the offices of Congress.
We the public have never seen who was on the receiving end of that data.
