Most are to just get cheaper than American high tech workers into the country and tie them up so they are beholden to the companies that employee them.
There is a need for a TINY fraction of amazing people to be let in… but not masses of them that drive out American workers.
THIS IS TRUTH. H1B is BS and needs to be stopped today. It’s giving unqualified immigrants with fake degrees a leg up on our high tech employees. One is my own brother. Their company is outsourcing to India with the H1B BS and thousands of US employees have lost jobs. They should have to give back the millions in tax payer dollars they get for internet access to rural areas since their support is all being sent over seas. They are pocketing the profits and not employing Americans.
I have heard so many first-person accounts of someone being screwed over by H1B.

Totally agree it is a complex issue and “one size fits all” solutions reflect a “black and white” perspective in a gray world. Clearly, Americans do not benefit from a H1B visas workers in hotels. However, highly skilled engineers and IT folks are a different story. Here’s an example. In the 1990s I worked for a household name Engineering-Construction company. When we bid international projects, our price would reflect a combined on-shore (Houston) and off-shore component (India). If we did not, we would lose every time to a European or Japanese company which used low cost, offshore labor. Winning the project with this approach often meant work for 300 American engineers for three years. Losing meant layoffs of hundreds of American engineers. Never saw an American engineer quit over the on-shore/off-shore approach. However, I saw the horror of losing bids.
Clearly, I expect incoming on this one. However, it might open a few minds who can see we live in a gray world. My personal takeaway at the time? I needed to be better than the foreign competition everyday … that way my employer would have been foolish to replace me.
P.S. I do not support American workers who practice: “quiet quitting”, “minimal effort Mondays”, “coffee badging” or “work from home” demands or ones who spend half the day on social media on the company’s dime. I’m America first but we live in a global economy, we need to be exceptional or suffer the consequences.
Fun fact: As of 2017, every Chinese citizen around the world is required to spy for the CCP. The more family in China, the greater the leverage the CCP has. Let’s deport everyone of these potential spies, close down the Chinese police stations on American soil and then have the H1B visa conversation.

WaPo’s Jeff Stein obtained a 30-page complaint that will be filed later today. The complaint alleges that the nongovernmental DOGE panel violates a 1972 law requiring advisory committees to the White House to adhere to rules on disclosure, hiring, and other practices.
The lawsuit claims that DOGE meets the requirements of a “federal advisory committee,” which is required by law to have a “fairly balanced” representation. These include filing annual reports summarizing the committee’s activities with the General Services Administration, tracking minutes and other meeting documents that must be made publicly available unless exempted by law, and filing a charter with Congress.
“DOGE is not exempted from FACA’s requirements,” NSC stated in the lawsuit, written by Kel McClanahan, executive director of National Security Counselors.
McClanahan said, “All meetings of DOGE, including those conducted through an electronic medium, must be open to the public.”
This thing will likely die out quietly. Musk will bluster, and some good could come of that if Trump triangulates off it. But overall, the Swamp hates that ad hoc stuff and will lock ’em out.
I agree. DOGE caused major upset when it was announced and was always going to be a target for lawsuits and criticism from the left. I would guess the Trump team expected it. Pres. Trump and Elon are no strangers to lawsuits that’s for sure. Their legal teams have probably already been planning for them and are well prepared.

First look into any of the litigants to see if they have any security clearances. Take away this clearance. Just to show they aren’t in charge. Most of these people come from the intelligence community and make their grift off of those clearances.

Also might have all sorts of associations, including spouses, that are threatend by DOGE.
It might be a good idea to create an EO which says “all Top Secret and above, including all “special access” clearances, are cancelled when the beneficiary leaves the agency originally granting the access. If the individual is re-employeed by an agency granting TS/SCI clearances within 60 days of leaving the original agency, the clearances can be reinstated. Otherwise, a full background check will be required.”
That would stop a lot of “revolving door” job seeking.
Perhaps the government could require that the hiring entity pay a large sum for an existing clearance to be made available. This would eliminate the financial advantage.
However much of what they are hired for is their connections and the ability to set up sweet deals prior to retiring in exchange for a lucrative job offer.
I think at one time they required a 5 year delay of accepting jobs that were linked to their government work. I think that would very effective as time would harm their ability to play the game.
Shouldn’t the recipient of a Presidential pardon also be stripped of their security clearances, because accepting a pardon is a form of admission of guilt?

I found out in about 15 minutes that this mRNA thing was not something new in development, but an old failed technology, and I also learned that it was not a vaccine in that it would not top you from getting the virus, or transmitting it if you had it.
In fact, I posted that right here more than once, but it took maybe three times of hearing that it was not an actually vaccine before people started to wake up, and many acted surprised to learn this, and the president kept bragging about his great achievement and it was a shot that might kill you but wouldn’t keep you from getting covid.
I kept hearing, “it’s the wave of the future” when I would tell them it wasn’t a vaccine.

For instance, because they wantedthe EUA,and it could not be granted if there were other treatments available, Ivsrmectine and Hydrochloriquine had to be demonised, despite PDJT’s “Operation Warp Speed clearly expressing a desire to push ALL treatment options.
