But the American Flag should, by United States Code, be flown at half mast for 30 days after the death of a President. When Nixon died I flew the flag on my buildings half mast for 30 days.
The flag code (title 4, United States Code, section 7) states:
” The flag shall be flown at half-staff 30 days from the death of the President or a former President; 10 days from the day of death of the Vice President”
If Trump does not like it He can change the law after he is President. But as it stands……………Just Deal With it. Its the LAW for public display.

That law you cite is not enforceable. It’s why an Executive Order by the POTUS is required. In Dimmitt v. City of Clearwater, the U.S. Flag Code was deemed “merely advisory and is not intended to proscribe behavior.”
Ture Privately, you can fly the flag anyway you want.
But on Government property, State, Local, or Fed the code should be, and is usually followed.

I’m a Veteran and a former VFW Commander and it always made me sick to see our flag at half mast for an extended time. I saw it as holding back the advancement of America’s ideals.
True. But the flag code also describes HOW The Flag is put at half-staff. The Flag must first be briefly raised to top of staff and then lowered to half-staff. At the end of the day it must be first raised back up to top-staff and then lowered.
It would seem to be totally appropriate to conduct a flag-raising in preparation for the inauguration, raise to top of staff for the duration of the inauguration and then at the conclusion of the ceremony do a dignified lower to half-staff for the remainder of the day.

My great concern is that the admin of PDJT does not do everything it can to bring every single politician, Judge, fed employee who partook in all of these RICOH level conspiracies over the last 9 years to FULL justice.
