To understand the outcome of the next four years (and beyond), it is important to begin with the same information. One key not discussed anywhere else is outlined below.
Consider this a baseline for future context in the world of the USA and President Trump politics.
♦ Summarized it looks like this: In late summer 2023 not only myself, but several insightful analysts in the world of high finance, had come to the conclusion that Musk’s financial effort with the purchase of Twitter was unsustainable, unless something changed.
Something did change.
In early August of 2023, understanding the dynamic at stake, and also having a strategy for his own interests, Oracle’s Larry Ellison said, ‘he would not let Elon Musk fail with Twitter’.
Billionaire Larry Ellison, a Tesla Board member, already had invested money in place, but that wasn’t the motive on this move. In hindsight, Ellison was brilliant and intensely strategic. It is important to understand what exactly ‘board members’ are recruited for, and the stability/security reasons for why they are recruited.
Ellison pumped money into the problem, relieving Musk of the cash flow problem created by his inability to divest shares (Musk was max-limited by Board). Ellison also helped make the $1.5 billion loan made by SpaceX, (unknown at the time) go away.
Ellison essentially positioned Twitter for the same dynamic reason that Bezos bought and used WaPo. This is the world of high finance, and these moves are all about influence, leverage and ultimately positioning. Ellison wanted a vessel for influence, a friendship and common ideological alignment therein just made sense.
With financial breathing room and a nod in the direction he needed to follow, after a brief stint with Ron DeSantis, Musk using his platform, leaned forward into Trump. The rest of that relationship origin is history.
Oracle, specifically Larry Ellison, is now positioned as the biggest benefactor of a second Trump administration, with a very specific group of technocrats in close alignment. AWS Jeff Bezos has been trying to make up ground ever since.
♦ Now that’s the elevator speech part; that’s the encapsulated or summarized version. But it’s in the details where things get interesting.
It should be emphasized up front that no one is a bad guy in the framework of what took place; however, neither is this altruism.
These are essentially self-interests in a common alignment. As long as the alignment is for good purposes, then the network of billionaire allies is in a very cool place.
♦ CRITICAL MOMENT – Returning to the August 2023 remarks by Larry Ellison about not letting Musk fail.
The person Larry Ellison was talking to was Donald Trump.
Larry Ellison nets about $50 billion per year in revenue; that’s not wealth growth; that’s income or cashflow. Pause and put yourself into that room and think about that conversation for a moment, or more.
In August 2023 President Trump understands that Twitter will survive. Ellison will not let Musk fail and will underwrite whatever is needed in order to ensure success. Everything candidate Trump does from that moment forth, carries that baseline.

Indeed, factually, several months later in 2024 Donald Trump is watching Elon Musk try to launch Ron DeSantis on Twitter – with much less success than his SpaceX rockets. Trump knows this is a test flight of DeSantis by Ellison.
Donald Trump keeps moving, keeps relentlessly campaigning, keeps targeting the primary opponents and knocking them down one-by-one. All the while knowing that in the background of Musk, is Ellison.
Strategically, Donald Trump needs Ellison and strategically Donald Trump wants to position Ellison to need him. Bringing the interests into alignment is The Art of The Deal.
Eventually, over time, the alignment of interests takes shape.
In the spring of 2024, the broad outline of a technocratic team falls slowly into place. By summer 2024 we see Larry Ellison, Elon Musk, David Sachs, Peter Thiel all in common alignment. The technocratic team bring in the RFK Jr element along with the Vivek Ramaswamy element, and Peter Thiel’s background seeding of Senator JD Vance blossoms. The rest, as they say, is now history.
However, it is important to remember, this is an alignment of common interests. Insofar as those diverse but intertwined interests are good for the USA, then this is an extremely powerful coalition. There is a great deal of commonality, but there is also the opportunity for some disparity – especially if the technocrats push the Office of the President too hard.
Remember, Musk faced two issues: (1) short term capital and (2) short term expenses.
Here I must give Elon Musk major credit for seriously strategic problem solving. Ellison solved problem #1, Musk solved problem #2 with fractal computing and big-time urgency on AI as a way to reduce data processing costs. The net result surfaced a few days ago:

Sixteen months ago, I didn’t think Musk could pull it off. He did and should be congratulated. So too should Larry Ellison be admired for strategic foresight and incredible positioning for maximum benefit. Just a brilliant outcome from both men. Well done!
♦ Now I need to bring in another metaphor:
A person could make the argument that splitting the atom was a great altruistic decision to create abundant energy. However, it must also be accepted the good decision ultimately created a serious weapon, the atomic bomb.
Thus, embedded in the argument about Musk and his chase of AI is a defense that solving the problem of data processing costs (fractal computing and AI), is a way to get rid of the inherent dependency on IC systems and massive space-consuming Server Farms previously needed to run simultaneous user social media platforms.
Fair enough. I totally understand the upside.
However, in steps Peter Thiel and Palantir with a business model to repurpose the beneficial side of AI, add in facial recognition capabilities, and create something that Homeland Security and the Intelligence Community would gain from. That’s the downside.
AI can both split the atom (good) and create the atomic bomb (bad).
♦ When the AI search and filter capability is merged with facial recognition, “Real ID”, and ultimately the NSA metadata; then adding fractal computing power and imagine the search results. My concern is it’s only a matter of time before an Obama-type administration take power again. What will that merged system look like if weaponized?
Palantir agreed to cooperate with the FBI and launched facial recognition AI on behalf of their federal contract with the FBI into the events of J6 attendees. The FBI arrests followed. Palantir’s access to the DHS/TSA database, as granted by the FBI for use in their J6 targeting operation, can be looked upon as a beta test for how artificial intelligence could scour the national biometric database and deliver results.
Three key points:
(1) Palantir doesn’t have access to the full NSA metadata library yet. Concerningly that’s another part where Peter Thiel, Elon Musk and JD Vance can come into play in (’28).
(2) Palantir (AI surveillance) is beta tested with various sub-silos (like FBI), under auspices of various legal authorities (like J6).
(3) Palantir’s product, combined with Real ID and biometrics, can also be used to identify and locate illegal criminal aliens. Thus, the Tom Homan Deportation Operation benefits from incredible targeting efficiency. But will DHS stop using it when the deportation program concludes?
As long as these systems are operating for good, then I look at the financial windfall to the technocrat group as no issue. However, if those systems are weaponized for a process of targeting that violates the basic elements of our constitutional protection, then we have a problem.

Part of the problem in blue States is the motor voter laws and the welfare recipients that register to vote when they apply for benefits. #1 They register illegals to vote, their argument is it isn’t against the law to register to vote, it IS against the law TO vote if your illegal. They don’t need them to vote, they just want the ballots, they will vote for them. Its the same for the welfare recipients, they very rarely vote, but the State counts on that, because again, they just want the ballot. #2 the federal government send electronic data to the States to verify citizenship. My State has had illegal immigrants question why their cash and food assistance had dramatically increased. They were told because they were now U.S. Citizens. They said they were not citizens. Workers were told many immigrants moved a lot so it was difficult to get them their paperwork approving their citizenship status. They said they had NEVER applied. This was happening all over the State and workers were correcting the coding from Federally Verified back to undocumented immigrants. The State then created a small specialized Citizenship unit who were the only people with the ability to change the code. People working in the local office would have to send an email to the citizenship unit to fix a case but they never fixed them.
These people never took a citizenship oath or spoke English. The United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) needs to be fully audited. We have millions of illegals showing as citizens that are still illegals.
The “fact” that in 2020 a dirty, withering old crook supposedly got 80 million votes while mostly staying in his basement is one big election fraud issue. Then a cackling, shape-shifting, lying empty headed puppet got over 70 million votes is another issue of dem fraud machinery at work. Full steam AHEAD President Trump. We have seen over the last 4 years the utter lawlessness of this current administration. We have seen it with the borders, Ukraine, FEMA, illegal vote counting, judicial system, lawfare & etc. etc. This current administration breaks laws daily and NO ONE ever holds them into account, especially not the Repubes in congress. The only way to prevent this from happening again is to break the progressive Dems & Uniparty’s spine and cripple them permanently. To take a page out of David Plouffe’s book, it is not enough to simply beat them. They mut be destroyed thoroughly. Their kind must never rise again. I for one am sick of fighting these same fights over and over again.
Without putting in place proper freedom safeguards and hand rails – as well as destroy the weapons used – it WILL happen again and again regardless of what you do to any particular group, as there will always be another such group to take its place.

It’s been over 50 years since I read Toffler’s Future Shock, but the book’s central message, that an ever accelerating rate of technological change will leave future generations of people overwhelmed and suffering from an extreme form of stress that Toffler calls being “future shocked,” dovetails exactly with the baseline of information that Sundance presents to all of us.
That baseline is telling anyone who will listen that the inevitable result of an exponentially enhanced technology is an equally exponentially enhanced capacity for good or evil to be unleashed on the world.
It isn’t lost on me that a mind like Sundance’s, endowed with the insight to see so many diverse elements of change in motion and interacting with each other and see these potentials for good and evil before they coalesce…that a mind like that feels the need to pray to his God.
Because God only knows where we would be if great minds like Trump and Musk were not moved to do good by the better angels of their nature.
Trump believes his life was spared by God for a purpose and Musk bought a multi-billion dollar Twitter with little expectation of seeing a profit for a purpose!
And we have faith that those purposes are for good.
And from that realization we know why Sundance prays and we know that faith isn’t a just a word in some dusty, unread Catechism. Because Sundance knows that no amount of foresight or meticulous planning for the future can guarantee that some monstrous, techno form of tyranny won’t grind us into dust.

I would disagree with your conclusion – at least for myself. I know beyond any shadow of a doubt that the day will come when evil DOES “grind those alive into dust.” The only guarantee is that ultimately it won’t matter, that while our mortal body may die that the essence of who we are will be eternal, and the devil will lose the final battle and has no dominion over said essence.
That most certainly does NOT mean that the battles between now and then are immaterial – or that they can’t be won with God at our side, for they can and have been repeatedly – and many such as myself will never give up or give in.
I spent yesterday in a cemetery with a six year old and two year old. They ran around and loved all the tombstones with lamb statues — the graves of children. Some good talks came of the day – talking to an 89 year old widow looking forward to Heaven. Our souls are eternal – this is all that truly matters, all that has ever mattered. But why was your soul chosen for a body living in such strange times? How blessed and trusted we are by the Lord to be this generation. How humbling.

However, the fact that these programs exist, also means they exist for those who are not altruistic. Was Ellison’s move due to his interest in free speech? Doubtful. Was Thiel’s push for Vance because he aligns with MAGA? Doubtful. And to take this a step further, was Musk’s acquisition of Twitter due to his interest in free speech? We tend to believe so, but realistically??? Personally, I believe that these are solely financial positions that have nothing to do with MAGA, human rights, etc. The specter of the atom bomb looms before us.
Concerning the development and use of AI – it will be developed and used for “national security purposes” regardless.

Not through the complete article but a few months ago, I had an IRS issue. In the resolving of it, I had to use my phone and take a picture of myself and the front and back of my Drivers License. The App ran my phone while doing it. Fast forward to this week, we had a credit card issue that a purchase was blocked. My wife had to take a picture of herself and DL front and back.
Obviously they have a program to capture the rest of the facial ID.
I’m too young to understand what politics was like before 2016. But all this talk makes me think about the future beyond Trump. It seems that our Constitution was breached by the very creation of the CIA. While the public was reassured that this agency was directed at catching evil doers, such as our country’s rivals like the USSR, the leaders of the CIA were carefully covering up the spying done on Americans year after year. There were various mind control experiments and the releasing of biological organisms into the air here in America: all of this was going on unbeknownst to Americans.

It is very worrisome to me that technology to find and track people is constantly being developed such that the 4th Amendment is violated ALL THE TIME by the CIA.
It is the values of the Intelligence Agencies that is the problem: they appear to have no concern whatsoever about the Constitution of the US. They violate their own charter continuously. They lie to Congress, cover up and obfuscate to the American people.

I challenge anyone to come up with a design for an Intelligence Agency that would stay within the bounds of the Constitution. Once secrecy is allowed, the agency can commit any crime they want to.

I really appreciate this Sundance. It resolves many deep concerns I’ve long had about Musk, Thiel, Vance and Ellison. The “atomic bomb” of AI and BigTech surveillance can be neutralized and a free market still thrive (the atomic energy).
As the Tech Oligarchs now scramble for power, there is a litmus test for their intent – to sort those who intend to use their power and technology monopolies for good or for evil. Spur of the moment thoughts:
One. Technology traces its own path. It cannot be stopped. It can be harnessed. But, for technology, “it’s always noon somewhere.”
Two. Sundance is spot on. How technology is used is a differentiator. The character and ambitions of the people (or institutions) using it factor in bigly! There are often cross-cutting interests in play.
Three. It’s amazing how human spirit/curiosity, the pure pursuit of knowledge and technology entwine in a pas de deux over time. So much of current computing developments (the ideational part of it) can be traced to Turing, the geniuses at Bell and other labs, and a thousand and one corporate, public/private, academic collaborative efforts; and, yes, even government.
Four. When I first encountered AI in the late 1980s in graduate school it was a language/logic centric discipline that held promise but had largely been consigned to the backwaters after 40 years of broken promises. But the press to solve problems continued. One would intersect with various explorers from this sub-world, people working facial recognition, autonomous underwater vehicles, robotics, virtualization, data pipelining, parallel computing, distributed computing, vectorized data processing, and more. The early work created off-shoots into new branches – some theoretical, some applied; AI enhanced aircraft, for example.
Five. The social/political part of this, once coupled to business and government, of course, creates its own caste of wealth, influence, and power. That’s how the system, especially the capitalist system (in the purest sense) works! Hello capital – Meet people with ideas! Get together and make a profit servicing some need/want – or create whole new visions for human need/want. Schumpeter’s gales of creative destruction!
Six. Sundance is cautioning to keep an eye on this current iteration of the technical bellwether. I would only add that includes folks whose baseline is the art of the deal. Not a criticism! Deal making is one of the instruments that propels this technical life force. Ensure there are folks on the home team advising on the guardrails.
