Greenwald notes the accurate context of the recent decision to provide, launch, target and direct ATACMS missiles to hit targets inside Russia. This is not the U.S. providing Ukraine with weapons for use. This is the USA using the auspices of Ukraine geography to launch missiles into Russia that can only be launched, directed and targeted by U.S-NATO members.
Ukraine does not have the targeting systems or satellites to use these longer-range ATACM missiles for strikes into Russia. On an ancillary note, having spent three months inside Russia this summer and having the associated contacts therein, the Russian government is currently in the process of shutting down their nation in preparation for what comes next. All of the previous rules and regulations for entry visas are essentially gone. You will not read this anywhere else, but I can assure you Russia is isolating in preparation for war. Longer-range missiles have been used by U.S-NATO inside Ukraine. The ATACMS originate from the U.S-NATO and they are deployed with the targeting of U.S-NATO.
Russian President Vladimir Putin clearly stated that if such weapons were used, Russia will not pretend or ignore that this is direct provocative engagement by NATO against Russia. Putin is currently organizing affairs inside Russia prior to his response.

I listened to a recently published book outlining a scenario of nuclear war beginning, via a single missile launching from North Korea toward Washington.
Within two hours the war is over and all of NK, USA, and Russia, along with much of western Europe, have effectively been wiped from the Earth, turned into wastelands populated by the dead, the dying, and those who can only wish they were dead. Casualties in the tens to hundreds of millions, everything associated with functional civilizations utterly ruined, and this is before the nuclear winter even begins.
There is no victory in a nuclear war. It escalates incredibly fast and destroys everything it touches. Anyone risking such madness should be imprisoned or shot.

The approval for (ATACMS) to strike Russia by the current resident violated the U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 8, which provides that only Congress can declare war.
Any member of congress can, ask for immediate consideration of a joint resolution which invokes Article I, Section 8, and cuts off all funding for personnel, coordination, and deployment of ATACMS missile systems in Ukraine.

It would seem appropriate for the Russians to target ANY NATO installations , official or unofficial, inside the Ukraine. I don’t think that attacking NATO installations inside a non NATO country would rise to the threshold of attacking a NATO country.
Putin is wise and I think will do the right thing. Russia will have to live with the next door neighbor of the Ukraine after this war ends and it might be advantageous to vent his anger on NAT0 in the Ukraine rather than making the average Ukrainian citizen’s life even worse.

4. Any US ally providing similar support or weapons will lose favored National Security privileges such as “Five Eyes” designation and expulsion from NATO will be on the table.
5. Any US military contractor found to have deployed personnel to conduct war against Russia without explicit Congressional authorization will have all of its Defense contracts suspended pending a full review, and My Administration will decide whether we will do ANY business with said contractor during my term of office. Personnel will be subjected to civil and criminal prosecution.
Finally, I’m calling for a cease fire and an investigation – to be conducted jointly by the US and Russia – into the origins of the Ukraine conflict and the various terror attacks that have taken place during the war. And I am calling on ALL AMERICANS to contact the President and their House and Senate representatives to halt these acts of war on Russia.”
