This is perhaps one of the most predictable nominations, although everyone was wondering if it would be agency specific or just the entire apparatus of USA health. It’s the whole enchilada!
President Trump has announced his nomination of Robert F Kennedy Jr to become the next Secretary of Health and Human Services.

In this position RFK Jr has promised to change the construct of FDA, NIH, USDA and all the subsidiary agencies to remove the corporate influence that has corrupted them. The goal is to change the food system by removing harmful additives, challenge the influence of the multi-billion-dollar pharmaceutical lobbying industry, and restore the function of public health.
It is a massive task, but one that RFK Jr says he has been developing and planning for many years. This is in his wheelhouse and Making America Healthy Again would be an incredible legacy initiative for both President Trump and Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.
They will both be targeted by the multinational corporations and lobbyists, but they will be bolstered by the overwhelming support of the American people. I am looking forward to this initiative as it develops and rolls out.

He should immediately sue CNBC for libel. They have no evidence that his statements have been misleading or false, and there is far more evidence that proves he has been right all along on vaccines. I’m 100% with RFKjr on this issue. They have abandoned the goal of curing and preventing disease. They even changed the definition of vaccines to allow these new “treatments” which mostly act to mask symptoms and do nothing to stop spread of disease. (Thanks to the Treeper who opened my eyes to what they did with the whooping cough vaccine by replacing it with a “treatment.”)
We have economies of planned obsolescence and devices which interestingly fail right after the warranty expires. That’s an annoyance. An annoyance.
But when they extend this marketing mindset into things upon which human life depends?!?! Now you’re talking about crimes against humanity “on some level.” Instead of trying to stop people from dying and curing suffering, they increase dying and suffering because “the stock market told us to! fiduciary responsibility!” And it’s true, we can’t make people be moral or have a conscience. In a country such as ours, where the people can rise into government, we can absolutely do something about it. And it is necessary that we do so.
Who will served as Secretary of USDA? That department does not fall under the jurisdiction of Health and Human Services. RFK,Jr., therefore, will not control that vital area of health. The Sec. of USDA must remain in step with and coordinate with RFK,Jr., otherwise, much of what RFK, Jr. advocates will go for nothing.
I hope he’s smart about things. The current regime is squeezing healthy food producers and that combined with rising costs for everything from feed to fertilizer is making healthy food less affordable and less available. You can’t just get rid of the bad stuff. Trumps economic plans will drive down costs but it isn’t instant. It needs to be carefully navigated, and the timing has to be right so that one thing doesn’t outpace the others.
Unfortunately healthy food usually cost more than ultra processed crap.
Interestingly, as somebody who, for various reasons, is forced to buy a lot of the healthy stuff (something that a lot of conservatives tend to mock btw), I did notice that prices haven’t gone up nearly as sharply as for the processed crap. Organic produce, eggs, and meat did not have the same kind of meteoric rise that commercially-produced stuff did during COVID.

Ouch, I’m in TX, & for the last few weeks including last week, I’ve been buying a doz of eggs cage-free organic eggs at $3.75. There are other options that go up from there & some almost triple!

Agreed! I’ve been doing it for a while as an outsized hobby. Organic gardening at the home scale is pretty easy. Scaling up to feed the masses is also quite doable. I’ve been to the MAHA site and have voted for nominees that I’m familiar with but sadly, aside from Joel Salatin, I’m not seeing the biological growers being adequately represented. Joel’s great but we need some of the larger acre, regenerative ranchers being heard from. There’s an interesting man who’s speaks fluent industrial farming but has a wide open mind and tends to be willing to give new ways a fair try. I’m glad Zach Johnson is being considered.
Tons of literature out there, an especially strong output in the 2005-15 timeframe – biodynamic, French intensive culture, permaculture, aquaponics – it could easily be a planetary Garden of Eden, given proper incentives and modern technology properly applied.

Demon Slick, I don’t find that to be true at all. My produce is far cheaper than anything else. Meat, well ok, is more expensive. But the healthier choices in my grocery store are amazingly consistent.

Yeah… No. Collins was stabbed in the back on multiple occasions by fellow Republicans, and consistently kept out of meaningful committee leadership positions. I may be mistaken, but I don’t recall him being the chair of anything substantial in Congress.
Roosterhead on the other hand… was never stabbed by a single Rino in all the time he was there in Congress, and ended up chairing the USHSC on Benghazi, and the House Oversight Committee. Both committees led by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Toothless performative circuses, led by an even more toothless chicken.
Perhaps unrelated, but in my own health history, the best thing I ever did was take my wife’s advice 😉 ….and go see a credible, established Osteopath. Life-changing. Literally solved (healed for good) some fundamental health issues and symptoms that had been going on for decades which were never healed by synthetic drugs, just slightly alleviated.
Why did I hesitate? Because health insurance wouldn’t cover it because it didn’t meet their health “protocols” created in cahoots with Big Pharma and Big Medical, despite the fact that the successful remedies and health protocol the Osteopath had given me were a fraction of the cost of synthetic drugs and general health protocols mandated by Big Insurance. I came to realize it’s one big racket: a fascist league between Big Govt Health + Big Pharma + Big Insurance + Big Medicine. They all get a piece of the pie. It’s not health driven, or rather, healing driven. It’s all money driven, like every other institution or service that is in some ways, shape, or form connected to Government.
That’s why I’m thrilled that RFK, Jr. as HHS Head is gonna give this whole health racket a massive enema long overdue.

Do you have a source for this? I keep seeing comments about his health, but I haven’t read anything to indicate that he is unwell. Most of the recent press about him has said he wanted the HHS position.
Dr. Ben’s not a young man, and is quite private.
Personally, I see a potentially great role for him as a private sounding-board/mentor//helper/minder for RFK, Jr. We have to be realistic, in that Bobby has a very quirky past, yet he’s being embraced and trusted and honored with the hopes of a lot of people, including PDJT. It’s a big job for Bob to shoulder alone. I think Dr. Carson could play a key role in helping everyone win. He could be a great, unofficial “minister sans portfolio,” so to speak.

Let’s just call it what it is. This is Covid Vax Cancer. That should be the actual medical diagnosis, and it should be coded that way.
A good friend of mine that I warned numerous times about the vax now has stage four breast cancer. It was sad news.
I wish there could be a way to encourage all of those that are like her to connect the dots. I think deep down she knows.
I would like to see everyone that lost a loved one or has health issues report and document it. People need to understand and come out of their denial.
I can think of other possible explanations too, like the proliferation of pharmaceuticals (it seems every person is on something now) which get into our water supply and into our food, or GMO crops, or some other things that have been changing in recent years.
You should take a good, hard look at ES’s data and analysis (which has been checked and verified by multiple people). There is zero doubt as to its cause…
Note – that isn’t to say that there have been a number of other things in our environment and food that have caused cancers, there have in fact been for some time. Just not of the scale and ferocity of the current situation and cases.

We should not be too giddy just yet. The appointment of the HHS secretary is just the beginning. The nominee can and will be referred to any Senate Committees deemed relevant, who then research the candidate. There’s no time limit on this. Only once a candidate is approved at the committee level, does the nomination go to the full Senate, which then conducts hearings.
There are land mines everywhere in this process, and with the full court press of every big-AG and big-Pharma lobbyist working incessently against him, I fully expect it to take a full year IF he ever gets through.
I think the Republicans in the Senate can cancel the hearings.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Fauci is asking for asylum to a country with no extradition treaty with the US.
An absolute, and predictable appointment. RFK was the only person for this job. If you read any of his posts, he was always railing about what our food supply and our pharmaceutical industry was doing to us as a person. When the engineered Covid plagued the world’s populations, I was surprised how easily a large percentage of family doctors (General Practitioners) went marching along with it. In my case, I asked for Ivermectin and was told it had not been ‘passed’ yet – even though India was saving millions of people with it. The Practice had available the ‘injection’ and we know now its horrific results. Ivermectin was too successful to get in the way of the dream opportunity of making a quick buck. The respect and trust we once had of the medical fraternity has been broken. President Trump will “follow the munee” and jump on the perpetrators, no matter who (and especially the WHO).
