In mid-April of this year, I was sitting in a Starbucks (renamed Stars Coffee) in the Galleria Mall in downtown Saint Petersburg, Russia, watching the massive crowds of shoppers that looked like something out of a mid-1990’s Christmas season in the USA. The place was packed with people shopping.
As I sipped my coffee, on my phone I was reading a Wall Street Journal report about the devastating impact of the Western sanctions against Russia, “according to those with an understanding of Moscow’s situation.” I read a paragraph, looked up at the crowd, read a paragraph, looked around and the bags being carried, I laughed.
A little later, I filled the gas tank in my rent-a-car for $15 and drove past miles upon miles of towering apartment buildings under construction, having just read about the shortage of ‘steel’ in Russia, “according to sources familiar with the matter.” Stopping to buy a week’s worth of groceries for $70, I referenced the other article from the Washington Post that day about massive inflation in Russia, “according to expert western economists.”
Several weeks later I had another cup of coffee at a cafe’ in eastern Ukraine, while reading a New York Times article about mass casualties and alarming bombing that was apparently happening all around me. The sun was shining, but it was a little chilly. It was very odd, to read the USA publication describing “despair” evident to them, somehow, while I see smiling faces of people all around me doing ordinary things and enjoying sausage rolls.
The journey to understand the manipulation of information flow from the U.S. Intelligence Community to Americans, really solidified in those moments. Yes Alice, this is why the IC controls social media, I thought to myself.

Now his wife, Maggie Goodlander, was just elected to Congress representing NH. She’s former Naval Reserves intel, went to Groton, Yale, Yale Law. Clerked for Garland. Senior foreign policy for McCain. Her family is the powerful New Hampshire Tamposi family very active in republican politics. Maggie served as counsel to House Judicial Committee during Trump’s first impeachment & co-authored report on the constitutional rounds for impeachment.
She is a snake, a well-connected and wealthy snake. Keep an eye on her.

You really thought there was a difference in DC? Or in the “elites”? Not a chance. 2 wings of the same dirty scavenger bird. It’s not an Eagle that represents DC, that’s a Vulture.
Some early fliers for Goodlander mentioned her prosecution (persecution?) of Donald Trump, but these disappeared. Lily Tang Williams ripped her up in the debate, calling out her obvious lies on housing affordability and her living in a $2MM mansion in a different district. Lily closed well, but there is a 20k vote gap that showed up for the Presidential race and the house races. I sincerely hope NH starts looking closely at voting rolls and valid addresses before the next election.
I was impressed with Lily, she is a very dynamic person. And very anti-Communist, because of first hand experience.
I was sorry Lily lost. She is authentic. Couldn’t understand why she lost until I found out Goodlander’s fam hx. Her mother was in NH state Senate as a republican. Tamposi family rules.
Lily did us all a favor in her debate with Goodlander even if she lost. She shed light into darkness and I was pulling for her. We need more of her and hope we will see her again. She is extremely impressive.
Agreed. I live in her district and for most of the campaign there was almost nothing known about Maggie Goodlander except her ubiquitous presence on local signage. Apparently “Mrs. Jake Sullivan” didn’t quite convey the common touch she was going for.
It depresses me that I should live in a state whose politics are at such odds with the lifestyle. New Hampshire shows on election maps as a blue Democrat haven, but I can only surmise that the fraud is enormous based on how many normally conservative people live here.
I describe the TRAITORS in DC as GANGSTERS IN THREE PIECE SUITS WITH HARVARD LAW DEGREES. Certainly SHE does not wear a three piece suit but she’s one of them none the less.
Her countenance during her debate against Lily Tang deserved an Oscar.
Fake Sullivan has a head that looks like a Milk Bone Dog Biscuit with the same intelligence as said Biscuit.

What I learned in the first few seconds after Jake Sullivan opened the linguistic piehole in the middle of his face is that Dems are going to use every dirty trick in the book to keep Trump from implementing his agenda
That’s what Sullivan has been instructed to say concerning Biden’s priorities. In his increasingly rare but still demonstrable moments of lucidity, it’s hard to believe that Biden isn’t consumed with a particularly hot vindictive vengeance. He wants to ensure that his family keeps their ill-gotten gains and that no ill befalls Hunter, of course, but after everything he’s done to promote Obama, being kicked to the curb by the party, no matter how valid the reason, must be galling.
It would be very interesting if Biden takes PT aside and tells him, “If you want to get Obama, here’s how”, then pretends he can’t remember what was said when grilled by apparatchiks. Advantage Biden.

I was chatting with an old friend who spent 7 years in Moscow as the senior officer of a major European bank. I sent him this piece, and he wound up exploring the site for some time.
His reactions: “If ‘Sundance’ is an American passport holder, what in God’s name is he doing in Russia? Assuming he is someone of some distinction, he is an ideal target for Kremlin extortion. If he has any background in intelligence, which he seems to from the tone and language of his writing, he wold be lucky to get out without being arrested and held for barter. No one in our organization is permitted to go to Russia now, and will be for likely years to come. I would ask how this fellow feels secure in traveling there. It opens some interesting questions.”
