In the link I provided, the VP only has 1 vote and that is to break a tie. He has no other vote.
I am not sure why people think it a good idea to have a VP as the Senate Majority Leader.
One thing that I think of is separation of powers… Executive and Legislative branches are co-equal so if you have the VP become a voting senator as well as the tie breaker, then it seems a little skewed in that the Executive Branch would essentially have TWO votes in Senate business.

As of this morning there was a difference, depending upon which site one checked, of 17,000 to 20,000 with the lead switching between both candidates.
In other words, with all the attention on Arizona seems like Nevada’s shenanigans are getting a free pass.

I will say, having worked both the early election and election day as poll worker, I was glad there were mail-in ballots that could be dropped off at the polling locations during the early voting period given that 59% of the voters in our county did that, leaving 41% possibly voting on election day – because
on election day, it began at 5:30 a.m. and I had to leave early at 11:30 p.m. (to deal with low blood sugar) as the closing down of the polls took almost 2 hours after official 7:00 p.m. poll closing to handle the people still in line at 7:00 p.m., and then tear everything down, making sure all the numbers added up between the poll pads (where people were checked in) and vote tally on the machines, then put the room back to the way we found it.
If everyone votes on the same day, whether paper ballots or machines, I dare say we would still be there at the polling place to check in the voters who were still in line at 7:00 p.m. closing time.
There does need to be a solution.

The solution likely is clean voter roles, one day voting, voter ID, paper ballots, and better planning along with an increase in voting locations. All locations also need to be accessible for everyone.

I want to remind everybody that the reason abortion became a big issue in the presidential race is because immediately after it went back to the states, Lindsey Graham started running his mouth about a possible federal ban.

If Bob Woodward is to be believed, then that’s not the only thing Lindsey was doing to sabotage Trump.
According to Woodward, on at least one occasion Lindsey met with Biden to discuss the possibility of escalating the conflict in the Middle East until the US “had no choice” but to directly intervene.
While having this alleged conversation, Lindsey told Biden that such a war would have a greater chance of success if it were to break out with a Democrat in the White House, because while Republican voters would support going to war to protect Israel under any administration, Democrat voters would only support such a war if one of their own were in charge.
If this is true, then Graham needs to be investigated and if necessary expelled from the Senate.

That’s what has always confused me – how is it that the outgoing, old Senate configuration, gets to vote in November on who will be the next Senate leader when the newly elected Senators will not be taking their positions until the following January.

Last night I went to.a football game in Sumner, Wa – a somewhat countyish town about 45 minutes south of Seattle. Each game has a theme and because of Veteran’s day it was red, white and blue, One kid was dressed in a dark suit, red tie and red hat. Other kids had Trump gear and when I walked out there were a couple big blankets wrapped around a couple teenagers that said “TRUMP Make America Great”.
I was pretty happy to see the younger generation was reached when there is so much BS trying to capture their attention.
