Announcing that you’re a comedian ahead of your comments would be a bad move, would it not? If someone tells you they know a funny joke and proceed to tell it, it’s never as funny as what it would be if they launched into it without commenting.

I think she types that in as a preface to her comments for the same reason I use Sharon with a meadowlark as my avatar.
Sharon is my given name. The meadowlark is what surrounded me on the prairie when I was born in 1944. When I went to first grade in 1950. When I had to leave the farm after my dad died in 1962. The meadowlark and my name. That’s who I am.
I like the retired magistrate. Her stability as to who she is. I like the things she shares.
Some of them have to do with daily events and potlucks. Some of them have to do with courthouses and things she has seen there.
Her name is Marcia. “Retired Magistrate here” – has something to do with her prairie. Her surroundings. Her memories. Her thinking.
Marcia is a good companion on our road home.

When speaking on legal matters it gives her cred. A shoe salesmen speaking on legal issues, well, not so.

I think, when it calls for it, the pointing out of former/current qualifications holds more gravitas and would induce more people to pay attention to what is being said.

I enjoy her comments, they are thoughtful and informative.
A legal background can give some context to a post (I’m a retired litigator, and sometimes note that).
But if it’s a non-legal matter, I don’t see how being a retired state court magistrate from Ohio is relevant.
But she is entitled to post as she wishes, and she’s always civil to other Treepers. and that’s Sundance’s big tent.
My first instinct has always been curiosity about that, too. My second instinct is always Thank Goodness she added that. It lets me place her comments in a correct context quickly and I appreciate expertise, which she has in spades. I always enjoy her comments and that addition has grown to make me smile each time I see it. Keep it going Marcia but the suggestion about adding it to your screen name DOES make for easier typing.

I’ve written her on 3 separate occasions, and the last time she told me both her and her husband were suffering with the after-affects of COVID. She was simply too tired to spend the time and do all the research necessary to keep up with her nightly prayers. I told her she was always welcome to return when she felt ready….we would keep her in our prayers.
May the LORD bless her and keep her, all the way Home…maybe she’s already there? How amazing it will be to finally meet all the saints that have gone before and thank them for the encouragement they provided to so many of us along the way!!

So, I thought it was Fox producers telling him to wrap it up.

I think FOX lost SO many viewers after 2020 that they decided they need to start pretending again, if only to get their ad revenue back up again. And the more Kamala talks, the more obvious it becomes that they will NOT be able to play the same games they did four years ago. But, that does not mean we should be complacent-they may well have all new games this time around, since the courts never did hold anyone accountable for their actions…
INHO, Fox is covering their bases, as is CNN, and even ABC (after the Martha Raddatz debacle with JD Vance), CBS appears to be the last holdout to recognize that there is no way to fix the mess the Democrats are in this time around!

This could get interesting. Candace Owens in one of her latest podcasts on Que Mala’s genealogy found a reference to a marriage that ‘could’ possibly be hers when she was in her early 20’s to a Canadian. She is researching this with the implications to do with citizenship issue. Time will tell.
