lol, I used to live less than a mile from there but luckily we fled CA a decade ago.
I was looking at the satellite imagery and not a lot of natural shade. Be interesting to see how they set it up. I’d have to look at a city boundary map, but I believe that’s in the county area. RSO (Riverside County Sheriff’s) has a lot of solid people (or did 10 years ago at least) – Coachella contracts with RSO for police protection as well though.
Sheriff Bianco is one who said he would not enforce mask mandates during the crazy era.

It is amazing what people actually care about versus what is shoved down our throats continuously by the fake left media.
Being a native of KY, the only surprise here is the placement of Drug use/addiction. Even before the drugs, alcohol abuse was a big problem.
I heard on a local radio show that registered Republicans surpassed Democrats in Lexington. It will be shocking if current President Trump carries Lexington, which voted for Barry, Hilly and Joey.

My husband’s family had a picture of John L. Lewis hung in their living room when he was growing up. There are still those in his family who WILL vote for Harris and who have told him to keep his political opinions to himself. Blind.

“Florida State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis on Tuesday said there have been 16 fires during and after Hurricane Helene attributed to lithium-ion batteries used in Tesla and other electric vehicles, golf carts and other vehicles and devices.”
I use lithium batteries to do my yard – mower, trimmer/edger, blower. I treat them as carefully as the nuclear football. I do not leave them out in the garage, and plan to take them to the city hazardous recycling center when/if they ever fail. These yard tools and batteries are now 6 years old and still going. However, I’m an old biddie with a small yard – not using the tools for large yard or commercial work.
Small yard or not, the volatility/explosion factor is too much for me.
Ditto. I got rid of mine in favor of older lithium only batteries and corded versions of the tools. I personally know 2 families whose houses burned down because a lithion-ion tool battery was left on the charger too long… just sayin’.
In CA, ICE tools will be banned from sale in 2026. Regard for safety and common sense do not exist in the halls of Sacramento.
Just know that if the Dems plan is successful, California politics will become the permanent norm in DC.
I have a large yard, and two electric appliances which I like very much: a lawn mower and a weed whacker. (Kobalt brand.) I like the second one much better than its gasoline counterpart, which was always very hard to start and noisy. But the batteries and the tools are never exposed to the weather, and I do not keep the batteries installed: they stay on the charger.
Have Kobalt also, Blower, weed wacker, chain saw, hedge trimmer, no mower.
Have a Scag “Yard Ferrari” for that.
Got tired of the riding ones in yellow and the ones in green from the DYI stores they don’t hold up any more.

Musk noted the California Legislature passed a law making it illegal to ask for a voter’s ID in “any” election. How does this affect the other 49 States?
California has 54 electoral votes for president and elects 52 House members and 2 Senators to Congress. With such a law on their books, why should they have any national representation whatsoever?
Alabama 9, Indiana 11, Missouri 10, Montana 4, South Carolina 9, and Tennessee 11, total 54 electoral votes. Their electoral representation is nullified by California’s law, so are all the other states and the people.
California should be sued under several Articles and Amendments of the US Constitution.

On another note – Just received a letter from Change Health Care, who administers for many health care insurance plans, doctors, etc.. were hacked in Feb 2024, by a “cybercriminal“. They were able to take copies of data in their computers (names, SS #, drivers license info, banking etc).
Aside from over 6 months before being made aware of this – they are now advising *us to be vigilant* as regards to our bills and accounts.
This is huge and it involves numerous health insurance companies and yet no whisper of this anywhere.
This may be just the beginning!!

Highly recommend freezing your credit with the three credit agencies. It’s free and takes less than an hour. Freezes can be lifted when needed. The one hour investment in freezing your credit will seem like a bargain if your identity is stolen. No need to pay for a credit monitoring service IMO.
Last week both Verizon and AT&T cell service was also under an ‘incident’ as well as one day last week Bank of America accounts for people in large cities had an ‘incident’ that saw their bank balances drained to $0.00 ‘incident all of which were restored later that day;

I watched a few youtube videos on less conventional dental care and the retired lady dentist, Dr. Ellie Phillips, who says to use xylitol as the last thing in the routine. Also, to use a soft brush and do not brush aggressively, as this interrupts the gum stem cells. I already had Xylitol granules, so decided to try it. This stuff is sweet! I use about 1/4 tsp. Dissolves quickly, leaves my teeth so smooth and helps prevent calcification buildup. Xylitol used as a sweetener (as for sweet tea) can give some ppl diarrhea, so beware. The small amount I use does not seem to have any effect.

If you don’t watch, I highly recommend it for those who, like me, have a difficult time seeing the “characters” in the Bible as real people. Everything about this series is absolutely wonderful, from the writing to the acting, particularly Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus. He is also a true believer and takes his role as a gift from God to spread His message. I find it a great source of comfort during these difficult times.

in my non-legalese paraphrasing, here are descriptions of the 2 cases:
The first case came about because Virginia had a law on their books that required a driver’s license to be revoked if the person was convicted of the crime of failing to pay court fees. A person sued after their license was revoked. While the court case was pending the Virginia legislature changed the law, removing that provision, so the court said that person’s lawsuit was moot – not necessary since the law no longer existed.
However, the person then sued because by virtue of the law changing they were now considered the ‘prevailing party’ so want to be paid for all the costs they had encumbered.
This is the lawsuit or question – whether a party must obtain a ruling that conclusively decides the merits of a case in its favor as opposed to mainly predicting a likelihood of later success to prevail on the merits; and whether a party must obtain an enduring chance in the parties’ legal relationship from a judicial act, as opposed to a non-judicial event that moots the case.

“The RNC stated in the lawsuit that Detroit’s Election Commission appointed 2,337 Democratic inspectors while only assigning 310 Republicans during the August primary election fill to those positions.”
Sheridan noted that at least 100 of the supposed 310 Republicans currently hired as poll workers by the city of Detroit during the August primary election have since been confirmed to be Democrats posing as Republicans.
“Detroit’s failure to hire Republican poll workers is the kind of bad-faith Democrat interference that drives down faith in elections. The RNC is bringing suit to remedy this completely unacceptable breach of public trust and our unprecedented election integrity campaign will continue to fight in Michigan and nationwide to protect the rights of every voter to have fair, accurate, secure and transparent elections,” said RNC Chairman Michael Whatley and Co-Chair Lara Trump in a statement.
While the RNC has drawn attention to the problem, their lawsuit is unlikely to make any substantial change before election day.
Basically they are saying, “We plan on breaking the law and cheating…whatcha gonna do about it?”
I despise these people that simply know they CANNOT WIN unless they lie, cheat, and steal.
I’m happy to see the RNC is trying to fight them.
