The message is good. The intent is good. The part of the Kennedy/Shanahan process that continues to befuddle me is not actually them. Instead, it’s the DNC/MSM and left-wing corporate group’s silence about parts of this unity message they would normally jump on.
Normally, if the left considered a political effort a threat, they would deploy severe countermeasures against it.
Meaning, any slight or diminishment of candidate Donald Trump, real or imagined, by an incidental, off-color or poor judgement statement by Kennedy would normally be exploited by the professional Marxists. However, when RFK Jr besmirches Donald Trump, the professional political leftists remain silent and do not exploit the opportunity. This ‘absence of antagonism‘ is very unusual; as a consequence, I’m not quite sure how to evaluate it.
If you have watched USA politics closely since the rise of the Obama movement (circa 2006-ish), you will note their heavy emphasis on using the Alinsky tactics against their political enemies. They always isolate, ridicule and marginalize (Alinsky Rule #6).
As the DNC, under the full operational control of the Obama network, use Alinsky attacks, the Republican wing traditionally enhance the attack using virtue as a weapon. It’s normally a one-two punch.
The Democrat/Hollywood wing ridicules, isolates and marginalizes (ie “weird”)… then the Republican/Corporate wing comes in on their high-horse and affirms the ridicule (“wingnuts”). This UniParty approach toward us as enemies has been consistent for almost two decades, and we all have “Tea Party” references for previous examples.
In this unification push, ie “Making America Great and Healthy Again,” RFK Jr is surprisingly the one political element the Democrats and Republicans have not exploited as an attack vector against President Trump. [For example, when RFK Jr said President Trump’s behavior on January 6th was “reprehensible” (Tucker Carlson interview), the DC media collective stunningly ignored it.]
Perhaps the corporatist beneficiaries do not want to bring attention to the collaborative MAGA/MAHA unity effort. I’m genuinely unsure of the reason for their lack of action. If that reason is accurate, this attention deficit would be the first time in modern political history when the UniParty did not attack middle America.

In 2020 -according Pat Byrn’s book The Great Rig-many millions of votes were stolen from Trump while millions more were manufactured for Biden. Your observations regarding the mayoral election in Jacksonville are something I am in total agreement with you about.
Shortly after this election a year or two ago, I made the same exact conclusions on this site regarding such and most everyone who replied to those assertions either made excuses pretending it was something else or ignored the impact of it.
Yes, there are some pockets of leftists who live in Duval. I live in a specific area where there is a concentration of them and it’s still 50/50 overall. But the majority of the county is Red / Republican.
Some of the issues I see are “those who count” from the downtown / west side areas, and an old local political Establishment with ex-federal law enforcement “retirees” meshed and melded together in the background.

My interpretation of the data is that:

Questions vis other factors and data specific to Duval County and Jacksonville as a Duval City:
what percentage of eligible voters actually voted? 33%. Who didn’t get the vote out?
what kind of primary system is run? Blanket (Dems/Repubs all in the same pot). Why haven’t Repubs changed this?
how has Duval Cnty/Jax voted in the past at other state level posts? More Dem relative to other solid FL Red Counties/Cities. It should be obvious why.
the replaced mayor in JAX was a Repub. By law he could not run again. How strong was the Repub candidate who survived the blanket primary?
I don’t see FL going for Harris in the Presidential election. It’s always possible, however, that you are correct. But you need real proof not changes in historical voting patterns with an implied ceteris paribus. This may all end up being resolved by means other than media articles and board rants. Got to have actual proof.
Sidebar: I voted against my Congress critter in the recent primary (St John’s County); a real RINO dirtbag. He won by over 60% anyway. There’s a lotta churn going on. The temperature level is rising. Have the irrefutable evidence lined up before the real counter-vailing forces begin to take hold. I think that RFK, Jr.s prerogative and focus, is on his own political continuity both for himself and the gestating “MAHA” movement. If Trump loses, what becomes of RFK, Jr.’s political future? Does he expect Trump to lose, and is positioning himself as the Trump alternative for 2028, hoping to capture the MAGA movement? All possible.
Does RFJ, Jr. gain more with a Trump win. If he becomes considered an influential member of Trump’s cabinet, does his MAHA movement grow independently, due to his political gains? Certainly, allying himself with Trump considering only power-politics, versus what he sincerely maybe believe is good or evil for the country, carries substantial personal, family, and career risks.
Personally, I think the mostly likely status quo and future scenario is that RFK, Jr. hopes for a Trump win, and leans into that effort. That Shanahan has so fully endorsed Trump as well, considering how negative she previously was, means she sees a better future for MAHA and RFK, Jr., if MAGA wins in 2024. It would not surprise me at all, if RFK Jr. picked his time to pull out of the coalition when Trump hits a rough spot, when it hurts him most, and specifically by early 2026, to promote MAHA candidates over MAGA.
I don’t trust RFK, Jr., not nearly as much as say, Tucker Carlson does. I don’t think he’s honest. I think he’s a Kennedy Democrat through and through. However, give what Trump is up against, in Biden’s 2020 words, the “worlds best election fraud machine in history” redux, JFK, Jr. is no minor asset to his campaign. Machines ain’t the problem. Mail in ballots and the collusion of the Postal Service is, especially in swing states such as PA and WI. The undermining of the controls for mail in balloting by the judiciary in the swing states is the problem, not illegals, and not machines. The RNC is doing little to nothing on the legal front to combat this. That is the worry.
If machines (automated software) can ensure accounting, banking, and inventory records, they can be designed to count ballots and provide an accountable audit trail, faster and more securely than paper ballots. However, in all of those systems I just mentioned, certain procedural assumptions govern the software design. The audit trail must include review beyond the simple input, i.e. machine counted ballots. As the saying goes, GIGO – garbage in, then garbage out is the result (i.e. invalid, inaccurate, or even fraudulent accounts). Any review must be auditable via canvas, i.e. from the voter, his/her address, his or her valid registration (which itself, assumes identification and franchise entitlement), the voters ballot (electronic or paper – a machine counted ballot MUST produce a receipt, i.e. a physical result that can be audited after the fact), the count, batch counts, up to the final result. Just like double entry accounting, every one of these items on the “ledger” must be consistent and “balance” when recounted left to right, up to down, backwards and forwards (i.e. just like a math “proof”). Focusing on the “paper ballot” versus the entire accountable election SYSTEM, is a gross error, even misdirection.
I once was brought in to assist the IT Department for a large, international cosmetics manufacturer and distributor, that was then in bankruptcy, and struggling using two different systems for ERP (enterprise resource planning) and accounting, due to a failed, partial migration. After about six months into the project, I discovered THE major reason for the failure of the new system, was a compromised company ERP system. The software itself was tested, top notch, and in use in 1000’s of Fortune 100 companies around the world. However, the implementing techs had created back doors into the system, i.e. multiple hidden admin accounts, fake clients, fake shipment documents, violating every accounting principle out there.
Curiously enough, I found out the primary power broker in the company was a Chinese foreign national who had been the longest term Executive staffer, at least several decades with the company. She held more power and authority with the Corporate board than the CEO. My management chain was also compromised, so I reported the issues to another senior executive in a parallel position to my own director. He tried to bring it to the CEO. He failed. I left the company, and later on, so did he. Bottom line, it was impossible to “fix” the companies “IT problems”, when they were actually a system corruption and people problem. There was no longer a legitimate authority available within this company to report these critical issues.
It’s the same issue with election systems (i.e. another system which I was involved with from the ground up, in the 1980’s). If the “system”, i.e. rules, procedures, and physical infrastructure is compromised, automation of an existing election system will be just as compromised (and in fact, can be intentionally compromised during development). GIGO. It frustrates me when MAGA folks condemn the tool, i.e. paper ballots, versus the corrupt election system. Tools are interchangeable, but rules are procedures are the make or break factors of any automated computer system.
Salt, it’s difficult to change any organizational culture, even in extremis. But severely corrupt systems need C-suite amputations and deep reform throughout. They’re the least likely to agree to those things.

Totally agree on corporate situations and that we could streamline voting with machines in an honest way.
The basic problem with machines for voting is that the average voter can not verify what was done with his vote. Even the average poll watcher does not necessarily understand what is being violated when the machines are misused. The average person in charge of acquiring the software in each state is also unable to verify that what they acquired works as advertised without pulling in experts to read the code.
Everybody up and down the voting chain, the counting chain and the administrative chain understands paper ballots and chain of custody of those. All the people involved can determine whether there is a problem with the integrity of the vote and act on it. Much, much more difficult to pull off the voting heist in that environment.
In 2020, nobody was even checking to see if the tabulators were accessing the internet much less making it impossible for those machines to do so. Nobody checked the logs. The code was proprietary. The code was modified remotely shortly before the elections and nobody was notified that the certification of the code was invalidated.
Specialized machines are unnecessary to accomplish this. It isn’t the machines fault, it is the violation of so many processes from procurement to recounts.

Having worked the same turf, a couple thoughts/common pointers in the same area:
Interacting software/IT systems is quite complex. There can never be a “bullet proof” system-of-systems; especially when people are one of the variables. Hence, the decision process defaults to acceptable risk.
Risk acceptance very often turns on expected cost (versus value returned). In my experience, that is usually where the really hard decisions fall – largely after requirements are decided.
I absolutely agree with your bent of mind – with a small qualification: it’s both (technology, governance/policy/management)! With resources often becoming the final arbiter across the spectrum.

This is not at all a surprise people
Machines are the problem. Mail-in ballots are the problem. Voter rolls are the problem. Any one of these, or a dozen other avenues of fraud currently in play, could be used by itself to steal the election. It appears what is actually happening is they are being used together to make the fraud far more subtle and hard to point at.
That’s why our focus has to be on the solution – transparent elections – rather than the problem. In-person, paper-ballot, single-day, ID-checked elections hand-counted at the precinct level would be a very good start.

I think Kennedy (huge ego) wants to be perceived as Trump’s equal, instead of a subordinate, so he takes opportunities to separate himself (I sued him, reprehensible, etc., i.e., “I am my own man”) but that he also knows this is his best chance to get close enough to the levers of power to MAHA, a life-long career passion/pursuit. He would be in a much better position to pursue the presidency in 2028 than if he sabotaged exposing election fraud in 2024 once and for all. He cannot win a fraudulent election in 2028. I am not a fan of Kennedy but I believe he can make a real difference with respect to childhood chronic diseases, Big Pharma, NIH, CDC, Big Medicine, etc. We are in desperate need of this. Why would they flee Trump over ballot fraud contests? It makes no sense. Kennedy would be knee high to a worm if that were his final political act. It has no purpose. His personal missions are viable only if Trump makes it to the White House. If Trump doesn’t, he is a nobody.

I suppose that much of this hinges on whether we believe that RFK’s perceived political ambitions are real. If so, then he gains nothing by a Harris presidency, having disavowed the Dem perspective. While he may subvert a Trump presidency, he needs Trump in the presidential position to do so. While I don’t believe that RFK has enough followers or political clout to actually make a difference in the election, it would appear that he has hitched his ride on what he believes will be a winning candidate. What happens afterward is anyone’s guess.
I am terrified that Harris might become POTUS. The machine cheating is a YUGE problem. Lindell has a machine that detects when they go on line in the ballot counting room, but that does not mean they will allow him to use his machine. There is a margin of cheating the machines can’t go beyond. Trump needs a landslide of epic proportions.
From what I understand about the Lindell machine, it is capable of being used OUTSIDE a building to detect ballot counting room going online INSIDE. That is why they have said very little about it. Secret weapon!!
I mean, you just can’t beat the other team, the referee’s or umpires, and video replay; all of which are sports equivalents to voting machines. Unless the team just scores a ridiculous amounts of points, runs, goals to overwhelm everything, doing it plain view of everybody. We shall see.

They stole many votes in Pennsylvania in 2020 using the Dominion machines, and yet they still had to print ballots for Philadelphia and others.
I was a poll watcher at my precinct in NW Pennsylvania in 2020. I had canvassed the whole precinct, which is middle and upper middle class and very Republican.
I was sure President Trump would get greater than 70% of the vote. He got exactly 62.5% (5/8th) of the votes from the machine. This happened in other very red precincts, and I am convinced they deployed an algorithm to shave off votes in all of them. I still have photographs of the vote count tapes printed from November 2020.
Here in Georgia, we want to count the ballots by hand and compare it to the Dominion machines. The ballot in Georgia is printed out and displays the names of the candidates selected. You then insert it in the Dominion tabulator which records your votes. However, the machine reads a QR code, which you can’t read, so you have no idea if the machine QR code reflects the candidates you selected.
The Georgia machines are illegal because of the QR code issue, but here we are in 2024 and, it hasn’t been fixed and they still use them, thus we are fighting for hand counts after the polls close to validate the machine totals.
You can bet the big cheat counties like Fulton won’t do hand counts. Finding manipulated tabulator counts in various counties may be enough to question the results and force a hand count of the printed names in those counties who won’t do it.
I might suggest every county in nation need to review every printed result from the tabulators in every precinct and total them up. Make sure the county totals reflect what the SoS office is reporting. They can, and probably will intercept results sent over the internet, and replace them with made up numbers.
Lastly, become a poll watcher. It’s boring, but necessary work.
