There’s a lot of positive commentary about this judicial decision; however, my hopium account balance is overdrawn. Let me present a factual angle of how the Deep State may use this. FYI if you have watched the corruption unfolding for the past few years, you will understand this is not doomerism; it’s pragmatic caution.
There is an argument to be made that Merchan, who has already shown stunningly political bias against President Trump, will operate only on the political LAWFARE interests of those who support him, regardless of consequence.
Judge Merchan is a rogue lawfare element, do not try to convince me he is bound by any legal or judicial limitations.
If you accept the possibility of political LAWFARE, then consider Judge Merchan may be positioned as an insurance policy against President Donald Trump taking office. The scenario would be President Trump winning the election (too big to rig) and then finding himself being sentenced to prison after his victory.
Not only would this scenario play into the hands of those who promise to defeat Trump even in victory, it would also create constitutional crisis, upend the political system and likely trigger something akin to a civil war – exactly what the IC/Deep State would relish.
Also, under this scenario those Sea Island folks advising RFK Jr and Ron DeSantis might have something other than altruism behind their current endorsement status, just sayin’. Don’t ever underestimate the scheming, conniving efforts of these crews.

When you read that judicial language it sounds like a mea culpa to the realities of an election season. If he’s not going to sentence him now in the midst of a campaign before an election, I think it far more unlikely that the judge would actually act to sentence after a victorious EC win when Trump would President Elect Trump and gain federal statutory status and protection. He is then the head of a protected incipient regime.
At that point, the lawfare wheels grind to a halt. I’m fairly certain that the NY appellate court would step in to halt such a proceeding. If he’s elected it means the public has decided they don’t give a – -it about a business records case. Everyone knows it’s BS. It would be the dumbest move ever. Biden would demand that Hochel back off hoping that Trump would not have him and his family immediately put under investigation.
Merchan won’t do it.

Occam’s razor: sentencing him to prison before the election would have triggered two things:
1. A massive groundswell of Trump support as the Harris gaslighting operation fades
2. Supreme Court intervention. They cannot afford that kind of scrutiny or a rebuke of Merchan before the election.
Delaying it might let them create some post-election fuss. But all it’ll really do is give Trump the only remaining excuse he needs to order the arrest of Merchan, his daughter, Bragg, and members of the Lawfare team for trying the impede an official proceeding (inauguration).
And that’s what will need to happen, swiftly, after the election and swearing in. Very. Specific. Arrests.

When the original sentencing by Merchan was in July, there were all kinds of stories of what would happen once Merchan sentenced him to jail.
Then we heard similar stories when the sentencing was rescheduled to September 18.
Now that it is moved up to November 26, we hear more fantastical stories of what will happen.
People need to take a chill pill and just get on with the most important election in our lifetimes.
If Trump is elected and then arrested I think SCOTUS will step in immediately and end that.

My sense is that the Marxists have seen the Merchan case verdict did nothing to Trump except give Trump aa bump. Jail time they feared would only amplify that.
This, plus the fact that a sentencing would allow an emergency appeal that might well have the verdict vacated would mean going into Election Day with Trump a 4 to 0 winner in the Democrat Lawfare cases. So Merchan was told to stand down by his puppeteers.
As a result the Left can still call Trump a “convicted felon” all the way through election day and, starting with Merchan’s daughter, they can still fundraise into November off of the verdict, which has been its best benefit to date for the Left.
