Meanwhile the few of us who remain are on the other side of that splintering door; veins bulging, muscles strained, pushing and holding back with all our might against every surge and attack wave…. and Zuckerberg nervously says, “whoops, sorry for dropping the drawbridge guys.” Good grief Mark, shut up and grab an axe now!

Sometimes you just have to laugh at the revelations people have, when they have them, and their abject failure to see how monumental the damage was/is as a result of their previous stupidity.
The city on the hill is burning, we are trying to save the women and children, and Zuckerberg is saying, “hey, sorry guys – but I let the drawbridge down because they seemed like such nice people.”….
It’s truly not a matter of forgiveness even playing a part of this process any longer. Spiritually and psychologically, I am prone to forgive everyone now, even the ‘dindunuffins’, not because I can manifest my better angels – but rather because their faces are just so mind-dummingly fraught with stupidity, and I just want to cherish the remaining embers of liberty in peace without having to notice Zuckerbergs’ existence.
Maybe this admission by Zuckerberg will help a few dozen more hardcore leftists wake up.

The most ridiculous thing about Facebook censorship is they’re censoring what users share with their own friends, family, and followers.
I was on Facebook years ago, 2009-13 ish, but then quit for a few years. During the time I was gone I began seeing references to people getting put into “Facebook jail”. Not something I had ever experienced.
I went back on Facebook around the time of the 2020 election. Immediately I began getting warnings and was placed into jail for wrong think. Nothing obscene, nothing violent … just ideologically offensive to the blue haired non-binary trust and content police. Often not even new posts, but things from months or years ago.
The last straw came when I got off a suspension and within minutes was put back on. The reason? I had been suspended before. Didn’t do anything wrong … just to mess with me.
I logged off and never went back.
It’s funny about that censorship thing, it only goes one way. One of my late husband’s friends is a rabid lefty Dem. He also happens to be the most racist person I have ever known, constantly using the n word, at any rate he routinely posts things like F Republicans or far worse, with that offensive F word spelled out. He of course gets away with his vile rhetoric.
Facebook was destroying their own business model. The entire purpose was people can network with their own friends and family. Then FB decided that certain things are not “safe”.
What a nonsensical idea. Everyone has the choice to follow or block users they don’t want to see. IIRC you can even block certain words in posts so they don’t appear on your feed even if you’re following the person.

If I understand this correctly, Zuckerberg’s testimony provided that link between government and the tech companies which would have completed the loop, but now it’s too late and who knows when the next case will get to the SCOTUS?

I posted Zuck’s letter and a huge scathing speech to my former coworkers about how unvaccinated people at work were treated like second class employees, were harassed to get a vaccine, and how I was told to my face that unvaccinated employees need to be denied access to hospitals and sent home to die.
