I probably have a half dozen various shades of purple ties and some of my socks are colorful. I also have some saddle shoes. I’m a musician, so maybe we just dress with more imagination and flair? President Trump said in a very recent interview that if he hadn’t gone into the construction business he would have been a Broadway producer. Show business has a big hold on him.

I wonder if Jack Smith’s reworded indictment is to serve two purposes, both of which suggest things are not rosy in the Harris camp, despite she being eleventeen points ahead of Trump in the ‘polls’.
Firstly, this looks like a blatantly partisan attempt by the Harris campaign to restore the momentum, after their post-convention high evaporated with RFK Jr and Tulsi’s endorsements. It also is timed suspiciously to bury the Zuckerberg revelation and help Harris in the debate. I wonder if his actions were previously coordinated, or was he activated because there were alarms going off that Trump was dominating the news agenda (remember last weekend’s announcement that he’d be making daily announcements)
Secondly, is this a desperation ploy to try to convince some Democrat voters to not walk away, after the Kennedy announcement (lots recently on SM), by promising them that a Harris victory will mean Trump on trial, I noted lots of mock-sadness that it ‘probably won’t be happening till after the election’.
I’m just struck by the timing, that’s suggestive, for both the above reasons, of a campaign that’s having to increasingly rely on exterior institutions and assets to keep their head above water.
The main reason for the reindictment is to bolster the N.Y. conviction. Trump was convicted not just for the Stormy payments, but also for tampering with the 2016 election. What will happen, is judge Merchan will sentence Trump, at the least to house arrest. After the N.Y. sentence, Trump will appear before the Washington DC judge, where that judge will impose strict rules, that specifically deal with the election. Like no internet, tweeting, money restrictions…etc. The DC court will say that since Trump has already been convicted of an election crime, that the bail provisions will be justified.
They are permanently taking Trump off of the campaign trail….guaranteed.
Motion to Dismiss saying Jack ain’t legit.
Which will be dismissed by the Obama DC judge, just like all of Trump’s other motions.
Should be charged with impersonating an officer of the U.S.

Given The original NY verdict caused the Trump surge in the polls, that eventually had Biden’s own party deliberately sink his re-election, what do you think these actions, that are blatant election interference, will do to his support? Won’t this be taken into consideration by those sentencing him, that they risk repeating the same mistake only this time there’s no replacement, apart from Walz whose past would sink him.
The action might delight hard-core Democrats, but what about those thinking about walking away, how would the black male vote react, or Generation Z, who might think this move was prompted by the failed assassination? What about the sentencing forcing the details about the original case to be revisited and re-examined just as people are paying attention to the campaign after Labor Day? Personally I don’t think Trump’s that lucky, but campaigning under house arrest, via surrogates, would upend Harris’ campaign of ‘Joy’ and imagine the Trump merchandising opportunities that would follow such a move.
If they were concerned about the polls, by the previous legal actions, wouldn’t the case already have been thrown out? Merchan has had plenty of chances to do just that, and yet, we are still here facing sentencing. Merchan has one last chance to toss the case, 2 days before the sentence, but doing so would definitely have an effect on the democrats rally and zeal to imprison Trump. Merchan enjoys immunity for an absurd sentence, and that is what he will enjoy.
Trump will be taken off the campaign trail, and quite possibly barred from profiting from his crimes. Which is why they made them financial. He will be banned from social media posting too.
The Democrats do not care, and have zero problems with showing us that. Besides all that, they have the CHEAT in their front pocket. 81 million votes, prove it.
I wish to be wrong, but their persistence, says otherwise.
Counter-intuitively, I think they are more driven by the polls than the Trump campaign, because for the cheat to work there has to be a narrative created that makes the steal plausible. This time in 2020, the fake polls had Biden leading by an average of 6 points, Harris is struggling to register 1 point and there is no COVID to shield her remote campaign. If they can’t raise that average significantly then the ridiculous number of votes needed to beat Trump’s likely recording breaking figures will be simply unbelievable, in a way the 2020 steal was not.
If the cheat was in the bag, why get rid of Biden? Why has the Harris campaign agreed now to a CNN interview, crucially why has this indictment been bought that fragrantly breaks the DOJ practice of not being seen to interfere in the run-up to an election? You maybe right, but it does seem that they are taking actions that could backfire, guess it really is all to play for.
NOW we will see what sort of stuff RFK Jr. and Shanahan are made of?

Another positive sign: Folks from Venezuela (legal immigrants) are painting my house. They fled their homeland because of the horrible effects of Chavez’s policies. I refuse to let a group of any kind appropriate a color of any kind. I like purple and I have various shades of it in my wardrobe.
The same goes for the color blue.
