Apparently the answer is “plenty of people”, but even worse is that operating such a service is frapping stupid because now there is a reason for some nation that doesn’t like it to arrest you since doing so can give them the contents of current or past communications.
A properly-designed end-to-end system doesn’t do that and thus all you can possibly get from arresting the operator is to shut it down — you can’t get the contents, either on a forward or retrospective basis, of communications even if you manage to get the logs because the private keying never is in the service operator’s possession.
This entire saga is outrageously stupid and that someone managed to become a billionaire doing it belies any sort of logic.
Then again people doing criminal things are often stupid, so there you go.

I feel very much the same and realize how naive I’ve been. I trusted our government for generally doing the best things for our country and citizens. I trusted most of the politicians and felt they were also trying to do the best things even though the Ds & Rs had different approaches. I felt there always were a few bad apples in our governments, but most were good.
Well, No more! I feel most all of our government institutions from state to federal are loaded with self-Serving people that are ineffective at representing their constituents and many are just corrupt. I now feel that the claim
from our enemies that the U.S. is the Great Satan has merit.
The terms Establishment Republicans and Uniparty have come to the forefront just in the last ten years I think. Those terms accurately state, IMO, the condition of our current two party system. Their goal seems to be just to hold on to power and drive the country away from its founding principles. I cannot think of one governing institution that actually performs well, just the opposite. They perform as they wish, not at the benefit of the people they are to serve.
I think the awakening for me was the beginning of the Tea Party in the second term of G. Bush. The lack of fiscal responsibility with pork and over spending by a Republican Congress (Bridge To Nowhere) started introspection on how Republicans governed vs what they ran on. Then the 2008 financial meltdown and Iraq war, then Patriotic Act……on an on.
What was missing was a strong A Personality leader. We now have that in President Trump. I am just hopeful he can win in 2024 because it is indeed the citizens vs the Governing Establishment in this election.

On the Republican side, B.Goldwater, followed by Nixon, Bucchannan, Ron Paul and others were able to initiate campaigns that got support, BECAUSE there was a core base they appealed to.
On the Dem side, there has been a similar group with discontent, responding to a “Populist/Nationalist” message.
By pushing various false narratives, to keep the people divided, by using psy-ops, intel-ops, mockingbird media they were able to undermine these ‘movements’ from Barrys Boys, to Perots followers, to the Tea Party.
And, each time they were able to lance the boil, relieve the pressure and retain control…
But not this time. They can not put the toothpaste back in the tube, they have been TRYING, using every dirty trick in the book, and all of their power, to undermine MAGA and they have been unsuccessful.
And yes, when PDJT inevitably retires from the World Stage, the MAGA movement will remain, already there is a whole ARMY of patriots that have risen to join him in “standing in their way” at great risk to themselves, their families and businesses, and having made such a committment, know there is no going back.

So maybe President Trump, we get back on track in terms of our economy, immigration, foreign policy and we’re really feeling good. What then?
we used to be a mostly Christian country. Some were very religious and some just went to church on Easter and Christmas, but a religious person in their own way. We have basically lost that as a country and it shows in many ways.
Most kids today and in the recent past do not understand our founders purpose, Declaration of Independence, Bill Of Rights and the value that this new free country brought to the world.
We have morphed into a guilt ridden, me focused society where many of the younger generation has been brainwashed into hating our country and the people who founded it and made it great. They ignored the positive and focused on negative.
Anyway, it took the left many decades to get us where we are today and it’s going to take a well organized and tremendous effort to get us back on track as a society that our founders intended.
Not trying to be doom and gloom and I do see some hope in our youth so it can be done. The 2024 election is just an inflection point-time will tell.

I owned and produced one of the most influential TV syndicated news insert in TV history. EVERYONE in Washington wanted a shot at that audience including RFK, Jr. I don’t recall what his schtick was then but I wasn’t interested in the content HOWEVER I was interested in a Kennedy.
I said I would cover the event but in return, I would get a 10 minute interview with him. He agreed.
So my crew showed up, covered the event then prepared for the interview.
RFK, Jr REFUSED to honor our agreement. His attitude was that I got a Kennedy by covering the event. It was a duplicitous lie. Again: a duplicitous lie. Not just any lie but duplicity as well. He was nasty and arrogant once he was called out.
I refused to air the event and Jr and his staff went ballistic. They honestly couldn’t believe it.

Here’s my second hand experience with RFK, Jr.
I have a friend who graduated college in the late nineties. As an empty-headed, enthusiastic liberal, he sought out and got a job working for RFK Jr.’s Riverkeeper charity. Seeing RFK up close, my friend actually abandoned liberalism — simply because of RFK, Jr.’s out and out phoniness. That is to say, RFK, Jr.’s falsity alone red pilled my friend.
Believe me, in real life, this guy is a HUGE arsehole. And a repeated liar. It doesn’t take long around him to be redpilled.
How long ago was that?
The experience with Jr was around 2001 or 2002. Long ago and as I have seen this progress I thought I would share this experience. I did not explain just how truly nasty and arrogant that man behaved, I mentioned it, but didn’t go into detail but it was a Dr Jeckyl Mr. Hyde vibe. Having done 1000’s of reports, this one really stuck in my memory because of his extreme behavior.

I think that it ought to be tried because it will prove once and for all a complete failure. I predict:

The grocery store will lose money until it is closed.
It will cost the taxpayers millions.

As most of you know, you can’t touch these accounts until you are retirement age (there are some exception, such as for medical attention) . That doesn’t stop them. They want to tax your “gains” every year to get their hands on that money and in large part, that is why they need all those agents. After all, we have a limited number of multi-millionaires and billionaires in the country but a whole lotta middle class people with these retirement accounts and they want that money!
Further, it’s in their plans to do the same with homeownership. They want to be able to tax your unrealized gains on your house. So, if the market in CA and the scarcity of houses in that state has cause the market value of your house to rise 20k this year, they want you to pay cap gains on the unrealized gain.
They want to do that every year.
It’s all part of “equity,” doncha know.

We are facing a similar issue here in Maryland. We will be asked to vote whether to add “Reproductive Freedom” to the State Constitution or not. The amendement reads:

As written, there is no age limit to the “freedom” granted by this amendment. Nor are there parental rights mentioned. These concerns were all debated in the General Assembly and rejected.

Click bait? How can the DoJ shield itself from the the guy who IS the Executive Branch? These folks, if they somehow keep their jobs, should be unhoused and defunded. I know he can do that.
They are using something called Schedule A to hire in special types of employees that cannot be fired once they are hired – they are not considered political appointees. It is supposed to be for disabled etc people, but they are using it for all their pet depts, like Environment, Civil Rights and Immigration etc.
I seem to recall that there is a period of time whereby an incoming President can remove those hired during previous admin. In 2017, the Trump admin did not avail themselves of it to get rid of the embedded Obama acolytes – they were sabotaged in that regard.
If they are hired, they can’t be fired? Doesn’t seem kosher, especially when it’s now being admitted that they are purposely misusing the law. But that doesn’t mean they need a place to work and/or be paid. PDJT can shut that down. He can also reorganize the DoJ so that all that stuff falls under one department head, who is a MAGA man (or woman), and doesn’t allow any of their work to see the light of day unless it’s personally approved by that person. And I might mention that person only works one day week. No matter what they do, they cannot circumvent. Again, the president is the Executive Branch, and at the end of the day, they all work for him. They are not independent of the three branches of government.
It is because they are unionized that they cannot be fired (well, easily).

We are simply going to have to get rid of the “DC” judicial circuit. All of the cases originating in this special-purpose city can easily be handled by the districts of the respective states from which it was carved.
Fundamentally: “ambitious prosecutors,” sitting comfortably in DC, can apparently “convene grand juries” at will to bite at the heels of any political officer whom they oppose. If things were allowed to continue as these people want, then this would be what happens:
(1) On day One of his or her Presidency, the new President signs new laws.
(2) On day Two of said Presidency, “a DC Grand Jury” hands down a new indictment.
(3) About 1,460 days to go. By the end of his or her term, if the Officeholder doesn’t simply quit, he or she will face thousands of years in prison, upon conviction by a DC Court which of course will be very easily obtained.
(4) Very quickly, there will be no candidates for President.
