I found Elon impressive. I understand where he is coming from. Given the right conditions we can use new technologies for the better good.
His space endeavors are really spectacular. Watching the rocket boosters come back to earth and land on the landing pad upright and in one piece, ready to be prepared for another launch, is amazing to watch. Definitely a economic masterpiece. As you can tell, I find space travel exciting.
Having said that, I do believe we should walk before we run. The rush to implement new ideas without trials first may lead to devastation.

I highly recommend reading/listening to the Ashlee Vance Elon Musk Biography and the Eric Berger Liftoff (essentially the Space X biography)books. Elon has had to put up with a lot of push back. Elon actually agreed to a slower pace on new energy sources and allowing the current oil and gas companies to be the major energy suppliers for now. He said slowly transitioning away from them so as not to hurt the people involved in them or to hurt the economy was a good way to proceed. Thought that whole segment on energy was very good from both of them.
Going slowly also gives new technology a chance to prove itself or fall to the wayside without major disruption to the economy.

A commission may be unnecessary because that’s the job of Congress. Money and effort might most efficiently be spent by defeating incumbent members of Congress. Doing it this year would have an instant impact on government efficiency and spending.
Congress is not going to police its money laundering corruption. A commission that answers only to the president as part of the White House office, might remove the influence of the huge corporations?

Yes. I ended up on Benny Johnson’s Rumble Channel listening to it there.
I listened to the 2 hour conversation and I didn’t hear anything from Trump that he hasn’t said countless times before in interviews or during rallies and a lot of what was said was not based on reality or facts.
IMMIGRATION:
Trump talked about all the bad people coming into the country but what was left out was the fact most are coming from countries that have been destroyed by wars started by the U.S.. Take Syria for example which has been destroyed by an American led attempt at regime change. Why should any American be surprised if Syrians are turning up at the US border? Trump complained about all the Venezuelan’s criminals entering the country. It was Trump who put starvation sanctions on Venezuela in an attempt to drive Maduro out of office. Of course Venezuelans are fleeing that country. Of course Maduro is releasing his prisoners. Can’t Trump see that the flood of Venezuelians into America is a result of U.S. actions taken against that country? Same thing that happened with Cuba decades before.

Trump repeated the claim that he stopped Nord-Stream whereas Joe Biden lifted sanctions. Is he forgetting that Joe Biden blew up the Nord-Stream pipeline? That was an act of war! Why is stopping a pipeline that provided Europe with its only source of cheap energy considered a “good thing” ? Is Europe an ally or not? If it is an ally, why take actions to undermine its economy? Before Trump became President I doubt he ever heard of Nord-Stream but in office he was surrounded by warmongering neocons who pushed him into taking these terrible positions on Russia.
UKRAINE
Trump mentions how foolish it was for Biden to promise Ukraine entry into NATO. Trump is right but is he not aware that when he was president Mike Pompeo pledged publicly to bring Ukraine into NATO? Trump repeatedly says “Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if I was in office”. Yes it would as long as Mike Pompeo was Secretary of State. Trump complained that the US is “in for $250 billion” in Ukraine whereas “Europe is in for $71 billion”. He thinks that is very “unfair”. The fact is no country should be sending billions to Ukraine for a hopeless war that is wiping out a generation of Ukrainian men as they are steadily fed into a meat-grinder. Would it make Trump feel better if Europe was also “in for $250 billion”. The Ukraine war is a big issue and Trump clearly doesn’t get it. He should listen to RFK Jr or Vivek discuss Ukraine.

Trump noted that Biden spent “trillions and trillions” fighting covid which is true but he is forgetting that he signed the $2.2 trillion CARES act to address covid. How much did those trillions contribute to inflation? You can be sure they added to the spiralling inflation.
CONCLUSION
Elon said at the beginning that this was just going to be a conversation so there were no real questions which I understood. Elon wants Trump to be elected so as to get the Democrats off his back which I understand. Musk has been treated horribly under Biden considering no other America has done as much as Elon to create jobs and bring back manufacturing to America. That said, I didn’t find the 2 hour conversation very illuminating. It was like a Sean Hannity interview without the interruptions.

He came across level-headed, not bragging, but instead willing to learn. I believe this Space will easily reach 100 million people. I hope they do it again.
