I’m only posting this because there are so many voices that keep talking about Donald Trump needing some version of Steve Bannon to assist him in the election or White House.
This screengrab is from Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast. Do you guys know who Chip Roy and Steve Deace are?
Chip Roy (left) – Steve Deace (right)
These two represent the opinions, sentiments, thoughts, perspectives and insights of all the people with alligator emojis in their bios. These are the Cruz Crew members in 2016, who turned into the knuckleheads for Ron DeSantis in 2024.
Maybe, just maybe, Steve Bannon doesn’t have any idea what the alligator emojis are doing to his brand 😂. Or, maybe he does, and this is just another blazing alert flare warning that people will reconcile away – because retention of a false belief is easier than acceptance of a reality that makes us uncomfortable.

Steve Bannon is hardcore MAGA and loves our VSGPDJT and lobbies hard for his reelection 🇺🇸
Not all that glitters,..
is gold.
Will you take Steve Bannon’s place in jail?
THAT makes NO sense, PaulNotSaul 🙄
Yes it does. Give it some thought and consider what Bannon might have been offered to stay out of prison. I wonder if you would be so bold.
There was absolutely nothing stopping Mr. Bannon from appearing in front of Congress and simply invoke the 5th Amendment to each and every question asked; he’s in jail for refusing to appear as he was subpoenaed to do. Same thing with Mr. Navarro. They both could have appeared, invoked, and been done with it.
For some reason both men acted as if they were under the impression that they had a right to ignore a Congressional subpoena because they had worked in the White House and/or for the President.
Makes a person wonder who their attorneys were, Robert Barnes or that Shipwreck guy?
That said, people also forget he was fired by President Trump for reasons we do not know. Makes a person wonder exactly what caused that firing.
Eric Holder did. So there are in fact two sets of laws.
Thank You.
Firstly, it was an illegal subpoena from an illegal inquiry. Secondly, he could not testify or even appear as that would undermine executive privilege. Thirdly, invoking the fifth amendment would be ridiculous. Do you even know what that means? It means he does not wish to incriminate himself, which has absolutely nothing to do with this situation.
He will be deified over his months in jail. It will be very profitable for his brand and finances.
I don’t think anyone should be ‘deified, but if folks/businesses choose to ‘give him a boost’, Go Steve! I am unaware that he has cheated anyone to earn his income.
Jealous?
In case you haven’t noticed, we’re all on “The List.”
All of us. You’re in a fight for your very existence. You just haven’t figured that part out just yet. Soon, though.
Yes. We are ALL on some List:
“Oh, when the saints go marching in
Oh Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in.”
HIS List is the only List I care about. We will all exit somewhere.
🎯
How much did Bannon have to do with these guests this AM? Would like to know. The guy’s in prison. Doubt the Feds are letting him produce the show.
One thing I do know as a watcher… once Chip Roy endorsed DeSantis, I didn’t see him again on the show til he went to prison. I’ve never seen Steve Deace on Warroom til this morning.
I turned it off as soon as I saw those two. Wouldn’t trust Roy on anything & the other guy is just a screaming mimi libertarian.
Roy may not have good judgement when he decided to support DeSantis in the primaries but, in Congress, no one has a more conservative voting record than Chip Roy: a 100% Conservative Review voting record and an “A” Liberty Score. Very few Republicans have that high a score. HE IS NOT A RINO!
Btw, I believe Bannon’s daughter is now running the show including the fill-in hosts during Bannon’s absence.
Chip Roy made it VERY CLEAR to those constituents who supported President Trump in the past that HE WOULD VOTE HOWEVER HE PLEASED! And it just never pleased him to support President Trump!
He may have taken a page in a response letter to say that, but he said it all the same! And followed up with his actions!
Be VERY cautious of Chip Roy! He was groomed by Ted Cruz from the get-go.
Be especially careful of Chip Roy when you see him put on his cowboy boots and his Colonel Sanders’ personae – all you have to do is remember when John Cornyn put on his cowboy garb!!! They’re both WEASELS!
Wake up Bud. Chip does not have “BAD JUDGEMENT”. Chip is owned by his handlers.
CORRUPT
Deace is a horrendous Never Trumper, from day one in 2015. Complete psychopath, couldn’t even see the good that Trump was doing while in office, he just dug in his heels. I have NO idea why he’s still on the air anywhere. He’s a complete loser.
Sorry I do remember him saying to Daniel Horowitz that Trump was doing great things and he was happy to have him as President-he didn’t expect that and he admitted it.
He then became a shameless DeSantis supporter and everyone wrote him off.
I have American Sunrise on in the morning while I’m busy getting my day up and running. Warroom comes on and it’s really just background noise until a good guest comes on (Rickards, Brat, the money guys are usually good). Then I see someone like Chip Roy!! WTH? and off goes the TV. Didn’t make it to Deace or I might have chucked the TV out. I like Steve, he’s a PT Barnum but he loves Trump, soooo. Without the cold opens I’d have no idea what Pravda was up to.
I MISS RUSH😩!!!! Noon is brutal every weekday.
Ditto.
Get SiriusXM radio. Andrew Wilkow at noon on Patriot Radio channel. I dare say a excellent substitute for the late Rush
Spot on. I love this site and Sundance is clearly brilliant. However, between him and many of the commenters, you would think there’s about half a dozen people who are qualified to breathe air, let alone be trusted. Give it a rest. Bannon is one of us. He may be nutty at times, but so is Trump. I’ll take a platoon of Bannons into battle anytime.
Exactemundo.
Front stage Bannon is a one of the most genuine MAGA advocates and organizers.
Back stage I guess it’s a maze of sponsorships, vendor tracks and commercial arrangements that many front stage MAGA would hate and not find generally acceptable
Yea the very idea that he would seek to fund the massive legal expenses he has incurred on our and President Trump’s behalf.
Bannon is hard core MAGA, but he brings too much baggage to the effort, and I don’t mean the fact that he’s currently in the slam.
Yea he is not perfect so let’s just demonize him. You have the right handle.
Please elaborate. Regardless, we need all hands on deck now to save our republic 🇺🇸 MAGA
Moreover, other than Trump, he has done more for MAGA, and thus America, than any other person. Sadly, some of Sundance’s negative statements about MAGA people make me wonder if he is really with us.
Sundance is a brilliant patriot who I have learned so much from over the years and whom I support 100%. We can’t agree on everything all the time but our goals are the same. Fight for liberty and rescue our constitutional republic by helping Donald John Trump get re-re-elected 🇺🇸
RDS is making headlines on Gateway Pundit now with comments about Walz two days in a row.
It’s obvious he’s trying to be relevant.
Bannon seems to be assisting by putting his supporters front and center.
The RDS club are too stupid to know how much they’re exposing their real selves.
IMO, we need to tone down the RDS rhetoric. It definitely does nothing for WTP, the Patriots. It only hurts the Conservatives.
Yes, he was wrong to take ‘Big Money” from the NEVER TRUMPERS and run against PDJT. I am sure he regrets that he let THEM build his ego to heights unimagined. He was naive and egotistical and listened to the wrong people.
C’mon people. Let us not cut off our collective nose to spite our face.
Unite for PDJT to MAGA!!! God bless.
Only can unite with those that are actually on same side. Ambulance chasers are vultures and vultures are “collective”.
Rita, Rita, Rita, the RDS-IS-NOT-MEAN-TWEETS project started in 2018. DisHonest regrets nothing, except that others didn’t get him over the finish line. Please try to keep up.
Bannon’s business deals are definitely shady AF, but he is clearly one of the best political street fighters in the country.
I concur with the street fighter part. But Bannon’s modus operandi when in office is to cozy up to the left wing media and sabotage everyone in DJTs circle to make himself look better.
I respectfully disagree. Bannon was doing the “listen to both sides” operandi. HE was a PDJT guy all the way. He got sidelined because PDJT chose his son in law over him, when Bannon disagreed with Kushner.
Hopefully, PDJT will not commit this faux pas in the future.
SD – are these 2 entities making Reason #89 as to why Bannon is sketchy? Or is #89 per whatever Bannon himself has done?
I know of him being charged over the “We Build the Wall” campaign funds. Whatever evidence showed that he actually committed fraud on charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering for his role in We Build The Wall ; he pleaded not guilty. Was pardoned by PDJT.
Though absolved of the federal charges, presidential powers do not protect against state criminal prosecution. Bannon could still face state criminal charges for the alleged fraud. Federal prosecutors are still pursuing charges against the other three men, who were not pardoned by PDJT.
They’re going to try to put him right back in jail.
https://nypost.com/2024/07/23/us-news/steve-bannon-to-stand-trial-for-alleged-we-build-the-wall-scam-in-december/
I don’t know who is choosing the guest host for War Room while Steve Bannon is in prison. For me ~ I miss the man and can’t wait for his return. His absence is palpable ~ and I find his analysis, his historical perspective and his incisive commentary to be of great value. Perfect? No. Useful and effective? Yes he is.
I miss Bannon too. I agree with you regarding his analysis & historical perspective. My understanding was that Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, did not approve of him, especially his appearance. I’ve learned over the years that “perfect is the enemy of good”. Bannon served his country and serves his president, D J Trump. If nothing else he is resolutely loyal.
Rogan, Brand, and Pool = turncoats
https://www.politico.com/news/2024/08/09/rfk-jr-podcaster-endorsements-rogan-brand-pool-00173429
In the grand scheme of things, pissants.
I find it astonishing that somehow they think they are important.
It could be the pot they smoke.
Think that all you want, but I just looked up their subscribers on Youtube and collectively that figure is over 25 million. On Instagram about the same. That’s a lot of influence.
However. Just a gut feeling but, I’ll bet there are more disaffected Liberals listening to them than MAGA conservatives. I keep hearing over and over again that RFK jr is robbing votes from Trump. Given the audience of those 3 and their endorsements of RFK jr, I’d say he’s robbing from the Left … the Left that are tired of voting for Stupid, but can’t mentally bring themselves to a state of sanity beyond their TDS.
You hit the target….Rogan, Brand and Pool are clowns. Entertaining sometimes, but not to be taken seriously.
They are as important as Taylor Swift. I will let you figure out what that means………
Turncoats to what?
When did these people ever self-identify as conservatives? lool
Tim Pool is has always been kind of a center-leftie.
Some of us need to get offline every now and then.
I’ve never heard Tim Pool talk of center left policies. Now, I just found him within the last couple of years.
Politico retracted within that article that Tim Pool endorsed RFKjr. He is voting for Trump.
For some reason Samuel Adams comes to mind.
Bannon is far from perfect, no one is. But he has done a lot of good.
I know Chip Roy to be a RINO. I am not familiar with Deace, but I assume he is of the same cloth as Roy.
That being said, I find no measurable fault with Steve Bannon. If I find that he (Bannon) is undermining PDJT, I will alter my view of Bannon. Thus far, I haven’t seen it, although Imust confess I am not on the “web”/internet 24 /7.
I don’t believe that Deace is a RINO, he seems to be a very conservative man of faith.
But he strongly disagreed with President Trump on some issues that were critical to him, and decided to support DeSantis.
When DeSantis left the race, Deace switched his support to Trump.
Deace is a smart man, and has had a lot of experience in political campaigns, but he seems a bit inflexible in his thinking.
Not an evil trait, but sometimes stubbornness can be counterproductive.
Just my take, anyway.
Rita defending the RDSers quite a bit today
Ain’t she though??
I am a fool me once and I’m done kinda person.
Actually, I am not a very trusting person on the best of days.
Supporting DeSantis does not make you a RINO. No on in Congress has a better conservative voting record than Chip Roy.
I never said that it did.
DeSantis ‘Proud’ to Receive Endorsement from Steve Deace, Who Wanted Hillary to Beat Trump. https://thenationalpulse.com/2023/08/12/desantis-proud-to-receive-endorsement-from-steve-deace-who-wanted-hillary-to-beat-trump/
Deace is a dunce and Chip is a chump.
Bannon and kellyanne Conway were both suspected leakers in Trump 1.0 he also once claimed Nikki was a potential vp pick. I put him in the valuable but not trustworthy category
Bannon also attacked the Trump family.
If by “attacked” you mean criticizing Javanka, then that was clearly within his rights. If you mean otherwise, then I think you need to cite some sources.
Cortes, Dhillon, Davis. 👀
“he also once claimed Nikki was a potential vp pick”
I don’t like the way you framed it. If anything, Bannon said he was afraid that the GOPe would devise a scheme to force Trump to chose Tricky Nikki as VP.
What you did is exactly the same as when Trump imitates Biden not being able get off the stage, and the media says it’s Trump who can’t find his way off the stage.
Bannon says things outside of the box. Republicans out to think more that way. No one says it has to be followed through.
He said she was a potential VP pick according to the RINOs. Steve despises Nikki Haley.
Chip Roy is DeSantis refuse and Deace, there is something seriously strange hiding behind those rims.
I think a lot of unhealed pain is shielded behind those glasses.
I think he needs some prayer.
Many of us in Texas don’t claim Chip “Soy” Roy as one of us. He’s just the latest version of Rooster-head to me.
Things that do not fit Steve Bannon’s America First position.
Controlled Opposition?
👆👆👆
Used to watch him all the time, then he just seemed disingenuous and kind of grifty. My husband watches him though.
Charlie Kirk and Mike Davis fan boys for DeSantis. I trust none of them. People have such short memories.
never heard Mike Davis being a fanboy of DeSantis. Gotta link for that?
1) No, Bannon doesn’t refuse to acknowledge voting machine fraud is a reality. He has Mike Lindel on ALL the time to talk about the fraudulent machines. He chooses to stick with the mail-in ballot fraud because he understands that we can prove in a court of law that the election was stolen without the machine evidence. He doesn’t know the machines evidence like he knows the mail-in evidence like the back of his hand. He has Tina Peters on his show all the time. He supports Tina Peters and believes what happened to her is a travesty of justice.
2) PDJT also pushes early voting and mail-in ballots because, like Bannon, he fears the Dems are planning to sabotage the Republican voting sites on Election Day.
3) Bannon supports Kirk because Kirk supports Trump, stumps for Trump and is working vigorously to get out the vote for Trump.
4) Warmongerer? Not. Bannon believes America should defend Taiwan because it would be highly detrimental to America if China took over Taiwan. (Taiwan produces and exports many vital products for America.)
Bannon gives credit where credit is due, even when he may disagree with someone in other political aspects. He doesn’t believe in throwing out the baby with the bath water. I don’t always agree with Bannon, but I agree with most everything he says. I don’t agree with everything Trump says and does, but I know he truly cares about America and Americans. Trump is the best president we’ve ever had after Washington and Lincoln. Just my humble opinion.
It’s obvious you listen to people who lie about Bannon rather than listen to Bannon himself. I have been listening to Bannon for years.
Always thought bannon was part of the machine and never saw anything to change my opinion
I’m near to the end of acceptance phase – giving people benefit of doubt is of the days of old. 🥹 It’s been difficult process.
The scamdemic ended the benefit of the doubt option.
omg, do i have to throw out all of my lacoste polos now?!?! wtf!!!
I don’t follow Steve Bannon. But I like anyone that attacks the left.
RINO backstabbers.
Roy is a chip off the old Rino-block.
Whoah!
I do not recognize many of the names commenting on this thread.
Exactly. You wonder who sent them all here.
That should tell us Treepers a lot about the can of worms Sundance has opened by creating this post.
Seems the cabal has a trove of people to act at their beck and call.
The problem is they’re so transparent it negates their worth.
I was unpleasantly surprised to see Cheap Soy there today.
I vote against the dims. I oppose the dims.
Bannon is a warrior against the dims.
I don’t have to like everything about someone that opposes the dims, commies and leftist dog wads but as long as they are fighting the commie cabal, I will keep my criticism to myself.
I was blocked on Citizen Free Press, it pissed me off and I let it be known, then I came to terms with the fact that site is an ally in the fight and I decided to cease from bad mouthing the CFP.
We can not stave off the commies if we look for perfection from all those who are in the fight against the commies.
God can use imperfect people and often does.
But since the flesh is weak, it is always best to realize that everyone bears watching.
“Trust, but verify.”
I had hoped that Peter Navarro would host Warroom while Bannon was in prison. But, so far, Navarro has only hosted one pair of morning episodes.
He’s ” CATCHING UP ” with Bonnie…
I like Navarro but can only take him in brief moments. Rambles on way to much.
1) I am a follower of both you and Steve Bannon’s WarRoom and contribute to your research.
2)I am not a follower or really know anything about Deace other than he’s shady and has a large evangelical following and screwed over Dr. Ben Carson, who I wanted for VP in 2016.
3) Chip Roy is my representative, I support him and, yes, he did vote for DeSantis (so did many people/family I know in FL). I am of the Sarah Palin philosophy. This is America, support who you want, and then come together and vote for the eventual winner of the primary.
4) A week or so ago, President Trump reached out to evangelicals to please vote this time around, though they are known for not voting. I’m not an evangelical, nor a very good Christian. But I’m with Trump, and think he would work with Deace to get out the evangelical vote.
5) I have watched and listened with interest in recent years to many so-called Andrew Breitbart alums who seem to be jealous of each other’s successes. I don’t think Andrew would approve.
6) No matter how brilliant you are, it’s not becoming to kick a man when he’s down and in prison.
Mary, in case you ever wonder how John Cornyn, Mitch McConnell’s big buddy and right-hand man, managed to keep his seat when SO MANY TEXANS despised him, I will let you know…
You said, “This is America. Support who you want, and then come together and vote for the eventual winner of the primary.”
Here’s how it was done:
Whenever Cornyn would encounter real competition from a popular new candidate, his good buddy, Mitch the Turtle, would fund several popular candidates for the same seat!
Thereby ensuring that the vote would be split several ways, preventing any ONE (1) of Cornyn’s challengers from defeating him in the Primary!
Thus, we never got the chance to throw the bum out!
They play the same game for Federal offices in North Carolina during Primary season. They support many nonsense candidates to split the primary vote and force a run-off primary where the incumbents have Name Association to enable them to win the position for the General elections.
DeSantis ‘Proud’ to Receive Endorsement from Steve Deace, Who Wanted Hillary to Beat Trump. https://thenationalpulse.com/2023/08/12/desantis-proud-to-receive-endorsement-from-steve-deace-who-wanted-hillary-to-beat-trump/
It isn’t kicking anyone to simply tell the truth about their actions.
The TRUTH does not and should not care about your feelings.
Steve Deace needs to give up political commentary and punditry and stick to his Michigan Podcast/Bigger Ten podcast.
Their is little room in Bannon’s heart for anyone but Bannon.
👍
I’m sorry. What a ridiculous comment. The guy is always supported Republicans.
You obviously don’t listen to Bannon regularly and have no idea what you’re talking about.
This is when I took a solid stand in opposition to Bannon.
Remember when Steve Bannon Declared that MAGA was bigger than Trump and the movement did not need Trump per se…… many ( even here at CTH) were very much riding on the #BannonWagon and argued with me that Bannon was MAGA and I said no Bannon is trying to hijack MAGA.
Yep.
Aren’t you twisting Steve Bannon’s words? I have been listening to him regularly for years. I heard him talk about what becomes of the movement after Trump, or that Trump is moderate for the movement he is leading. Which is true. His stance on abortion for example. That could be strategic, not ideological. But still. Can you please provide a link or at least an exact quote?
Spooky is correct. Bannon wasn’t anti Trump, rather, he was saying if Trump chooses not to run or doesn’t win the primary, MAGA can and will continue without him. But he has ALWAYS wanted Trump to be the one running in 2024. He wasn’t trying to hijack MAGA, he’s trying to keep the movement TOGETHER, keep it GROWING, and keep it GOING. He has the posse, the largest audience in the movement. He works his ass off for MAGA.
MAGA is not Bannon or Trump – it’s a movement based on a set of policies that Donald Trump solidified and gave it life. If you make MAGA synonymous with Trump, it’ll be all over in 4 years… We are the supporters of those policies that Make America Great Again. Pres Trump reminds us of that, all the time. He is the initiator and implementer of the polities, and as MAGA supporters, we will need future leaders to continue pushing forward these MAGA policies to Keep America Great.
Bannon is in jail for one reason, hubris.
He took bad legal advice and got burned.
When you are the roach, don’t crawl under the jackboot, lest you get crushed.
He so wants to be a martyr.
Yea, I just want to spend 4 months in jail to be a martyr……….OK
Not a fan of Chip Roy or Steve Deace. Sadly I must admit I only watch WarRoom now when Peter Navarro hosts. Not the same.
You’re right it’s not the same, but I think they’re doing a great job keeping up with getting the information out there. It’s still great information. We need to support the show even when the leader is sacrificing his freedom as a political prisoner. God bless the WarRoom and God bless Steven K. Bannon.
I’m sure he knows, but he could, like Trump, find it practicable to play nice for the moment.
I think we need to stop reacting to every little thing that pops up these days. How much control do you think Steve will have on this show from prison when it comes to the nitty gritty of things? I mean, be honest.
Steve is our guy. He’s been our guy from day one.
I’d follow Bannon into battle if it came to that. I think Mo Bannon or one of the other operational people is choosing guests while Steve is in Stir. I’ve communicated to the WarRoom team and Mo that I don’t understand these two guys getting face time on the Warroom.
But Steve has little to nothing to do with these decisions. It really is “next man up” for this team. Everybody gets to make mistakes.
I turned it off this AM as soon as I saw Deace, opposite Roy’s second time as host.
Raheem Kassan, while waiting for Jack Posobic to STFU today, quipped something to the effect, ‘he could not believe someone let Steve Deace on the War Room and that would addressed/dealt with promptly’. Raheem was none to happy, apparently he has Covid, so Chip stepped in.
I dislike the entire line up, Charlie Kirk would blindly sell us out to Israel. Poso seems desperate to be relevant and loved and don’t you dare ask him a question regarding Israel, he’ll get your Truth Social account blasted. Basic cable only offers left leaning news, not even faux. Digital over air, same except Fox programming cuts to Stephanopoulos station, not their own news feed. Thanfully, my Samsung TV gets Real America’s Voice, Newsmax but that’s it. That’s why so many people on the east coast are stupid or nutz, unless you seek an alternative, it’s all leftist propaganda.
I watched Warroom this morning, some of the comments on the comment line were in favor of Chip and others were against him…I kept reminding people that Chip Roy demanded Ken Paxton resign along with the RINOS that were trying to railroad him.
That was enough for me to stop trusting him.
He was a big McCarthy supporter as well.
To me he’s all talk like the rest of them.
I remember Steve had Chip on the show as a guest and I waiting for Steve to confront him about what he did to Paxton but he never did while I was listening.
In the end Chip was one of the 20 that voted against McCarthy for speaker.
Great point about Paxton.
Dan Bongino and The Blaze trashed Paxton as well.
Fake conservatives ALWAYS show their true colors.
Steve doesn’t like everything Chip Roy does. He blasts him/calls him out when necessary. When Roy does the right thing, Steve is quick to forgive and uses him.
Take that which serves you from what Bannon says, does. Leave that which does not where it lies. As with all men. Trust the discernment God gave you. Trust no man as you would trust God; none deserve it or are worthy. Always know that you are most vulnerable to the deceptions of friends and allies you trust; your defenses that protect you from deceptions of foes are at their weakest “just among friends.” Stay alert, and think for yourselves about all things, my friends.
Truest words typed on this topic!
Sadly, yes.
CONservative Inc.
retention of a false belief is easier than acceptance of a reality that makes us uncomfortable
Did all of the DeSantis fans eventually realize he was never MAGA? Or just some of them?
Steve Bannon said several times on his show that he reads Conservative Treehouse every day. I hope he can still read this in jail. God help President Trump.
I agree with you here. Would include others such as Mike Flynn. Seems to me this is a sign of evolution to a more thoughtful, less troll based way of supporting our candidate & the direction we want our country to go.
I know Steve Bannon pounds the MAGA drum. I know he’s in prison.
However, I also have a difficult time reconciling his pro Trump stance with some of the guests he has on.
The attorney, what’s- his-face Davis, pulled something shady during the California primary. He continued to appear on War Room. He was outted by Laura Loomer.
It is profitable to be pro Trump in the conservative podcast business.
You nailed it!
Nope.
Steve is pro Trump whether it is profitable or not.
And yet Steve Bannon had Laura Loomer plenty of times on his show. You could tell he admires her. Right now MAGA needs every help it can get, considering the circumstances. It’s not like he’s hosting Lindsey Graham or some other squishes.
As much as I like Bannon and much of what he says on things, he is a lightning rod that DJT does NOT need in 2024. And those two knuckleheads should also be kept far away from the Trump campaign–especially Roy.
Like what? What does Bannon do that Trump does not need?
Uniting the country is greater than dividing.
Many Americans, individuals and groups ( including cth, s bannon etc. ) support this year’s rnc candidate Don Trump.
The more, the potential to become better.
Love thy neighbors
Sundance, your circular firing squad has got to end.
I’m not American. English is not even my first language. But I’ve been following CTH for a few years now and I love Sundance for his insights, hard work and honesty. And btw, I think Bannon does too. I think it was late last year that on one of his shows Steve Bannon referenced an article from Sundance on CTH. But I noticed this bashing of Bannon here ever since SB started criticizing speaker Mike Johnson (and for good reason). Remember Sundance was wrong about Johnson. I don’t consider myself nearly as smart or insightful, but in this case I felt from the beginning that Johnson being voted speaker unanimously by the GOP was very suspicious. Shortly before that, Jim Jordan failed to get the RINO’s on his side, yet I remember Sundance calling Jordan “corrupt”. But he never used the same word to describe Johnson, although we have more reasons to believe that Johnson is truly corrupt, not just ignorant.
Bannon is in jail for MAGA. As some here said, he could have taken the despicable Jenna Ellis road. Yeah, he’s not perfect. He’s ignorant of some important facts. But imo he’s 100% MAGA. And doesn’t hold a grudge. He never bashed Trump, although he got fired by him and was called “sloppy”. He forgave Nancy Mace and got her on his show, although she was one of the people who held Bannon in contempt of Congress, for which he is serving time behind bars now. He had Seb Gorka immediately after an interview with Chip Roy, and Gorka unloaded on Chip for supporting DeSanctus, and If I’m not mistaken, took some shots at SB for hosting him. You should listen to SB’s response. I believe Chip Roy is still a backstabber btw. Anyway, when it comes to the topic of “retribution” or justice SB says that Trump is very forgiving and kind hearted, but that this doesn’t mean that justice won’t be pursued by people appointed by DJT in his second admin. I think SB and DJT share similar traits in this regard, even if SB doesn’t see it.
You may call SB ignorant or naive, but I found little evidence to doubt his intentions when it comes to MAGA. And SB is the second best at rallying people to action, after DJT of course. That’s why the left fears Bannon’s War Room. It is actually effective.
Sundance, you’re the best, but I think you are wrong here. Maybe time will prove me wrong, and that’s quite ok.
Sundance, your insights on many people, (which made my drop my jaw at the time) have been spot on. This op-ed on Bannon is another one of my drop-jaw moments, but because of your ‘ability’ to see and know things we don’t, not to mention your batting average, I’m taking your warning on Bannon to the bank.
I don’t like or dislike him. What I’ve seen of him on War Room sounds fine. I think he’s being unjustly punished for not answering a subpoena, (or was he just grandstanding for this desired outcome? Hmmmm).
Amen, Sundance. My same take.
Is there a list of the 1st 88 somewhere?
This post is in the category of eating one’s own. Let it go.
But isn’t Steve Bannon serving time for refusing to backstab Trump? And didn’t Trump fire Bannon instead of support him? I am asking honest questions because I get different takes on this.
This whole thing that Bannon is not to be trusted doesn’t make any sense. SB not only didn’t act like a typical disgruntled former employee, he actually went to prison for his support of Trump, even though the latter fired him and called him “sloppy”, as I hear because Trump sided with Jared and Ivanka (thank God they’re out of politics now). I’m not blaming Trump. Everyone makes mistakes. Just stating the incoherence of the arguments brought against Bannon by some commenters here, not to mention downright falsehoods.
The guy is in prison. I don’t think he has much control over who hosts the War Room. Plus, MAGA needs all the support it can get, even from former Desanctimonians, as long as they aren’t allowed in Trump’s inner circle. Bannon has had different guests, most were MAGA, some former RINO’s and dems and even some downright liberals. I’d focus on what those people say on the podcast, not who they voted for previously.
So, according to Sundance, whenever there is a major f’up by the GOP in Congress, Mike Johnson is a true believer, because he has seen it in his eyes, as Sundance put it. But Bannon, who has criticized Johnson repeatedly btw, is sketchy?
Bannon was not targeted for jail except because he has no sketchiness.
Only two were jailed. Two.
Yep. And Bannon is a CTH reader. I heard him mention a few times on his show, some months ago, how brilliant a CTH article written by Sundance was.
How can anyone enjoying CTH be sketchy? especially someone like Bannon, who served his country well (still does by serving time), and being able to forgive people like Nancy Mace, or not turn on Trump even after being kicked out and labeled with the nickname Sloppy Steve.
I’ve always agreed with SD on Bannon. All of the reasons he gave are hiding in plain sight. You just need to See everything for what it is. IMHO.
I do not agree with SD’s assessment of Bannon as he presents it. I do agree with your comment You just need to See everything for what it is. Blessings.
When has Sundance been wrong?
He was right about DeSantis, RFK, Jr and many more.
My money is on Sundance this time as well.
He was wrong about Mike Johnson. History taught me not to put too much faith in people, because even the greatest can be wrong. Even if they are right most of the times, it may happen that sometimes they can put emotion over truth. This attack on Bannon I find non-sensical and far different than the others you mentioned. It looks like some personal animosity. Way too sloppy, even by average standards, to blame a guy who is in prison for who hosts his show.
And even though SD is right about RFK Jr., in his last article he sensationalizes quite a bit when he says that “almost all” of RFK’s support comes from Trump, and then he links to a poll that doesn’t show that it’s that bad. And why is he dwelling on that single poll only?
