The main evening convention events are being held at the United Center which is quite nice but is an island in a sketchy neighborhood. There are no restaurants, bars, or hotels around the United Center. The attendees will need to travel from their hotels presumably downtown. Public transportation should not be an option for them considering crime occurring on the trains and buses. Of course, if they’re Democrats they’re used to wastelands, so it probably won’t be too shocking.
