On June 3rd it was previously announced by her office that representative Sheila Jackson-Lee was battling pancreatic cancer. [I wrote about it/her here]
Today, her office announced she died. Cancer is horrible. While it is sometimes difficult to find resilient grace and appropriate words for prayer; that does not absolve us of the commands of our faith. I will pray for Mrs Sheila Jackson-Lee and her family. Understanding the path of light was fully within her control.
Dear Lord, we come to you seeking strength and grace. While we ask You to protect us from those who give no thought to the harmful consequences of their irresponsible actions, we also beg for grace -and forgiveness- within our prayers for those who blindly trespass. Shield us from the injurious situations they cause, let their malicious intents be hindered and target our prayers when comeuppance arrives.
As we earnestly try to live in peace with everyone, keep us away from contentious people who might incite us to react without pause or grace. Provide us with gracious, strong yet gentle words for healing that may help pacify the troubled hearts of the malicious. We make effort to glorify You and give testimony of our faith at every opportunity.
Guide and comfort the family of Mrs. Sheila Jackson Lee. During this time of loss and sorrow, bring them closer to You. We beg You to wrap Your wing of love around them, in the way that only Your purity can provide. In Your name of mercy, we pray.

I wish I could feel comfort. I don’t and can’t. The only things hat changed from this is that more people see just how SERIOUS this is. People tell me “I hate politics” and how they think politics shouldn’t matter. Politics is the policy of life and death, the policy of who’s in control and who is powerless, the policy of what you can and cannot do and what you can own and cannot own. We can all agree to “hate politics” but to think it’s best that it should be ignored is to believe that evil doesn’t exist and that our lives and freedoms do not matter.
I saw in horror long after it happened knowing that Trump is and will be fine on that day. My horror wasn’t because of the event specifically, it was because of the fact that the evil has openly doubled down on this. They will not stop. They will actually do worse.
I saw the first real sense of horror when I stared seeing people being openly and publicly “anti-Jew” and faced NO public consequences. For me, that was a significant turning point. At first I laughed and thought to myself “OK now they have gone too far and they are about to find out!” That didn’t happen did it? NOPE. That’s when my sense of horror started to grow.
People love to talk about things compared to “Hitler” and they are mostly all BS.
But this? This ratcheting horror show is still only beginning.
This only stops when people see that this is NOT ACCEPTABLE.
May I post this elsewhere Daniel? You said it so well and I think folks need to see this, the reality of what is happening.

Are you referring to Corey Comperatore who served his community as a firefighter and died shielding his family from assassin’s bullets? SJL certainly doesn’t deserve that eulogy. She did all she could to divide and destroy our country.

Prayer for the dead is contra-biblical. “ And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” Heb. 9:27
If she died in Christ, that is to say saved by grace through faith she will be in Glory. If she rejected Jesus as her Lord and Master she is damned for eternity and no amount of prayer no matter how well meaning will change that. God said so.
Prayer for the salvation of the dead is contra biblical. Praying TO the dead certainly is too. Praying that God would bless or have mercy in eternity on those who have passed doesn’t seem like a bad thing.
Catholics, of course, have the concept of Purgatory.
As a Free Grace believer in Christ Jesus I don’t see how praying for a deceased person’s eternal salvation is unBiblical.
Number 1: No one except the LORD and hopefully the person knows if the person was justified by grace.
Number 2: If you pray for the salvation of a person subsequent to their death, the LORD knew from eternity past about your prayer for that person, just as He would have if you prayed for the person prior to the deceased person’s death.
Number 3: Hebrews 9:27 only precludes the unBiblical doctrine of reincarnation not prayers for the dead.
I don’t have anything nice to say about SJL. Her time in congress was distinguished only by her reputation of being the nastiest among a nasty lot. Professionally she authored no great legislation, and championed no great cause.
I am truly terrified of my own date with judgment one day. I cannot stand before God and say that in my own power I was much good. So may the Lord of Hosts extend to SJL the grace that one day I will need.

In my state (Hawaii) we had a Congresswoman die in August, supposedly the day after the last day to replace her name on Nov ballot. She was elected (though dead) in Nov, then we had to have a special election to replace her. “Jungle” election. That was just to finish out the term to 3 Jan, then another special election for the new term. Since then we now have ranked-choice mail in for special elections, but haven’t had any yet.

The grace comes from understanding what the Lord went through to open salvation to her. He did it that none should perish, and we dare not get in the way of that. However, that does not mean we are blind to what we observe in people or to the consequences of corrupt behavior. And so we make practical judgments, as indeed we must, but we leave eschatological judgment to the Lord, the only one equipped to so render.

I hope she found Jesus before she died.
My grandmother died of pancreatic cancer in the 1970’s, and one of best, long time friends died of this cancer about 5 years ago. I would not wish this on anyone.

This is the ACTUAL problem we face. I have commented that only the “foot soldiers” believe this is about one side thinking they are right and the other side “wrong.” They are the tools of the evil doers. Was she a tool or an evil doer? It’s hard to know especially when the tools use and enlist the methods of the evil doers themselves.
We like to think that in older days, we all agreed on “the constitution” but that was never really ever the case. Perhaps immediately after the founding years of this country it was but that didn’t last long at all. And the issue of slavery was ALWAYS a problem issue and “powers” did everything and more to ensure that this evil continued. Nevertheless, the Northwest territories were designated as “slave free zones” from very early on.
Matters such as banking and the minting of money and the creation of “debt based currency” are ALSO very old problems. Evil and corruption are problems predating the USA and it’s useful to remember that.
No one here thinks Sheila Jackson-Lee fit the definition of “good person.” Some will disagree elsewhere and even use terms like “good intentions.” No. The intentions are revealed through consistency of results. If there is ever to be an objective measure, that would be it.
Is anything made better by her loss? No. Is anything made worse by her loss? I don’t think so. It just is because she isn’t a person of consequence in the larger picture. Whether or not she was motivated by personal gain, whether or not she was motivated by some ideology (stated or unstated), it no longer matters. She didn’t move any needles in any significant way. Universally, (“both sides”) she was an icon of what we think she “represented” if only because most of us never knew her as an individual.
I care about the lives of those who move the needles. We know most of the names of those who move the needles for “good.” (and when I say needles, I refer to a range of metrics) We know FEW of the names of those who move the needles for “evil” as they operate IN THE DARKNESS and do not wish to be known because they know what they are doing is evil.
And that’s the difference. If you know the name “Sheila Jackson-Lee” then the odds are VERY good, actually, that she was not a controlling member of “the evil ones.” Instead, she was a member, in my opinion, of “the brainwashed ones” and her personal success only reinforced her drive to continue as she did without any apparent evidence of self-reflection.
I’m sorry but that is about the BEST I can possibly say.
Deception is on purpose and makes one an evildoer. Said another way, those who are deceived are purposely deceived because they love the lie and refuse to love the truth that they might be saved. She purposely rejected the truth and loved the lie making her an evildoer.

We don’t know what may have been made better by Sheila’s death. But we do know, “that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
I rejoice knowing that no matter how horrendous a person may have been here on earth, God can still use their life, their wicked works, and their death to shine His glory and goodness on someone else.
God may have used Sheila’s death to show His loving kindness and compassion on a family member, who may then believe and follow The Sovereign of all eternity.
God’s purposes in Sheila’s death are as vast as the ocean, and something only the Master can comprehend.
SJL was a bitter hater to the very end and is receiving her just reward eternal punishment in the torment of hellfire.
Love is greater than all and that woman lacked love. Only God given love through faith in Jesus Christ proves one’s salvation. That holy fruit was clearly lacking in her life so it’s obvious she’s in hell. May all who knew this wicked woman repent of their sins and put their faith in Jesus Christ. Our nation needs a revival of repentance and genuine regeneration. Amen may it be so Lord God Almighty.

There are ways to slow and remove the spike protein creation factory that was/is the mRNA gene therapy. The more shots received, the greater the potential impact to the immune system. Act accordingly.

Three months of an aggressively advancing cancer is awful. I believe it was a last ditch effort from the Lord to bring her to repentance. I do not believe it worked or she would have made apology for her grift. And so I really do not know what to pray for her. Turn down the heat?
