Seemingly lost amid all of the discussion of Senators John Barrasso and Marsha Blackburn confronting U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle at the RNC convention last night, is the obvious question, why was Cheatle even there?
Did she meet with President Trump and offer an apology for what the USSS is positioning as a gross collapse of simple security procedures; or was Director Cheatle simply trying to save her position. We don’t find out answers to the baseline question because the politics of the event are the paramount prism for the Barrasso and the Blackburn promotion of their confrontation. I loathe all of them.

I rewatched “Wag the Dog” this weekend.
The “comic” part of the movie is the idea that a “fixer” would use a Hollywood producer to fake a war to protect a president from his sexual crime during an election.
However, Hollywood has had CIA connections for a long time. Before Hollywood, stage actors were used to transmit messages and kill presidents. Think John Wilkes Booth. Think Eric Weiss (Harry Houdini) whose LA area home had holes in the bedroom walls so that high level men could be spied on.
Every major public event that is intended to propagandize or shock the public has a producer. Someone who knows how to connect all the moving parts of the drama. Are some Hollywood producers CIA assets? I would be shocked if there weren’t any.
So, if mac’s posts above are given a fair shake, it has to be assumed that someone “produced” the Trump Assassination production. Every shooting production has real professional shooters, a patsy to take the blame, and law enforcement that gives a “party line” story: “It was a lone nut. There were no other shooters. Everything possible was done to avoid this. Special circumstances resulted in less than normal security for the event.”
But, as with all live theater, things went wrong on Saturday. The biggest problem for the producer is that the intended victim turned his head and didn’t die as planned.
But there were other things that went wrong. Bongino is talking this morning about the patsy NOT having a ladder with him. This was why the patsy was sitting on the ground with a range finder. This has led Bongino’s buddies in the Fed to postulate a “mass casualty event” and not an assassination. I doubt this was the case, but it is clear that the patsy didn’t play his part right and was on the ground without a ladder. If this later bears out to be factual, then SOMEONE had to get that patsy to the roof position, where he would shoot or be framed for the shooting.
That’s the question we should be asking: who let this guy up on the roof. And who told that person to do it. There is where you will find the stage manager. In any good play, the director plans the blocking on stage, but it is the stage manager who is there for the actual show, making sure that people enter and exit on cue.
When looking at the footage, keep in mind the stage manager and see if he or she can be spotted moving players around the stage.
It’s hard not to think they took their plot from a John LeCarré, John Grisham, Tom Clancy or David Baldacci novel (were they really fiction?). Clint Eastwood is too old to play the lead.

We do not know what type of projectile was used. It is possible a lower velocity subsonic bullet was used. In crowded venues, a marksmen would not want their bullet to pass through the target and hit an innocent person.
