President Donald J Trump has selected Ohio Senator JD Vance to be his Vice-Presidential running mate.

Cliff Notes – On the upside JD Vance brings with him the full support of Silicon Valley and unites the various social media clans and venture capitalists (Musk, Ackerman, Thiel, etc.). This means a big boost to the financial position of the Trump campaign, support from half the banking community, and also the absence of internet protocols that would restrict or oppose his 2024 campaign platform.
Additionally, on a geopolitical level, Vance will be unlikely to interfere too much on the global peace initiative; that’s important. Also, Vance will likely not interfere too much with MAGAnomic policy other than oppose tariffs that align against the aforementioned Vance benefactors. JD Vance was heavily pushed by Donald Trump Jr.
On the downside the ‘never trust a Never-Trumper’ axiom was never more true than it is today. The IC-aligned DHS network behind JD Vance opens a Trump administration to the scorpions within the deepest part of the intelligence apparatus. We can easily predict the decade of 2030-2040 now that JD Vance has been selected. The IC silos will predictably go dormant now as things settle in with Vance, at least for a while. I voted for Vance because President Trump endorsed him. I really didn’t know much about him even though I am from Ohio. Just knew he wrote a book about growing up poor or something.
As far as never Trumpers go, I was never that. I voted for Cruz in the 2016 primaries though and then voted for President Trump because I could not stomach the idea of Hillary.
Obviously, this was way before I found my way here.
Me too, CoasterMom. I initially thought Trump’s candidacy in 2016 was a stunt. I voted Cruz in the primary that year. I had just retired and was not paying nearly as much attention to politics as I have since then.
But as DJT racked up wins in other states, I paid closer attention and then Rush Limbaugh also became intrigued with Trump and gradually began to voice full-throated support. I voted for Trump that November and never looked back.
I had not yet found CTH so Limbaugh had been my primary & most trusted source of political opinion and analysis since 1992. Discovering CTH in late 2017 changed all that.
I support Trump- that’s it. And when he makes a skeptical decision, I will hold my vote and wait. I’m not a battered conservative, and I don’t follow the herd.
Trump will get my vote if Vance passes muster between now and November. If not, I didn’t choose him; Trump did, despite Vance’s comments and anti-MAGA rhetoric. Decisions have consequences, including Trump; he should know since he chose Pence 1.0 already.

Not all that voted for Cruz took the nevertrump oath that binds there voting to “my word is my bond”.
I do not know if Vance promised nevertrump. Do not know if he supported Cruz usurpation of Party nominee after convention in 2016. Do not know if all the negatives about him were/are narrated to be disappointed when the most intelligent in the room campaigned hard for Carson.
Heck, I do not even know if we have been set up to reject this choice, set up to believe and trust in the wisdom of SD and a handful of Treepers as wiser than President Trump that the only logical choice is Ben Carson.
Knowing the levels of psyop and mind fooking capable of shaping the thoughts of even the most cautious and intelligent, I do not even know if all the documented proof this choice is enemy-bad. My issue is, if he made those statements in public and on TV, then he should publicly ask forgiveness or retract those statements on TV so that those of us who saw those videos will believe him or at least see he made an attempt to say he was sorry he made those statements. If anyone can find him retracting those statements, I would love to see them. I’m all about forgiveness if someone asks for it.

One fortunate aspect to being PDJT is he’s talked with a lot of smooth talking Yale lawyers in his lifetime. I would wager he’s pretty good at reading through the bravo sierra, more so now than a decade ago when he began the path to what became his first Presidency.

None of us knows and will probably never know whether President Trump may have offered the position to Dr Carson. And in knowing what a Godly couple he and his lovely wife Candy are, if he did, I’m sure both Carsons prayed mightily for the guidance of our Father in helping them to decide.
In the end, President Trump has chosen. And so now we have to leave it to the Almighty to continue weaving His tapestry. We will pray for both men that they will be protected by His hand and that His guidance will always be sought by both when they ascend to office on November 5.

I think the attempted assassination pushed President Trump to choose Vance. Ideally he’ll appeal to many nonvoters who’ve never voted before.

The first few bullets would have made him suitable for 2016. Trump’s appeal has broadened since then. There is no longer any need to keep squeezing that same demographic for each and every voter to show up. The last bullet point is what’s concerning. Why do they need Trump if they have Vance?
Easy answer: They need DJT because he (and not DeSantis/Haley their 1st/2nd choice) is nominee. IF it works out, JD (then 44) is next in line…
Former military, and might help win the Ohio vote. He’s a younger man, too, and likely to be healthy for quite some time yet. If he gets to debate Harris it should be quite a show. He’s pretty scrappy, too, and the Left doesn’t seem to like him. I hope the Globalists don’t like him, either, but we’ll see.
