As more investigative details of the attempted Trump assassination surface, some alarming information is surfacing.
[PENNSYLANIA] – BUTLER, Pa. — Channel 11 news uncovered dramatic new details Monday in the moments leading up to the assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump. According to multiple law enforcement sources, Thomas Crooks was spotted by law enforcement on a roof nearly 30 minutes before shots were fired that injured Trump, killed a former fire chief, and injured two others in the crowd.
Channel 11′s Nicole Ford confirmed that Beaver County’s ESU team had eight members at the rally, including snipers and spotters. According to Ford’s sources, one of them noticed a suspicious man on a roof near the rally at 5:45 p.m., called it in and took a picture of the person. We have learned from our sources the person in that picture is Thomas Crooks. We’re told it’s not clear if Crooks had a gun with him at that point.
According to multiple sources, a law enforcement officer had also previously seen Crooks on the ground and called him in as a suspicious person with a picture prior to 5:45 p.m. Our sources tell us an officer checked the grounds for Crooks at that point but did not see him where the first picture was taken. The facts in this case appear strongly to point away from an accident or oversight.
Which also points to the reality that “they” really mean “by any means necessary.”

I would posit the difference being Uvalde was an ad hoc fluid situation and the rally was a pre-planned operation with decades of security experience and similar events to guide the principals in their logistical planning.
After all, these people are pros. Legally authorized to kill. Someone took out the kid on the roof so at least the kill part worked. The rest, not so much. Dan Bongino said that at EVERY single event that involves a USSS protectee (Trump), the lead agent of the protective detail is solely responsible for security at the event. Yes, there are advance teams and Comms people and local LEOs working the event, but the Secret Service is in charge. There should never have been a question about who ALL of the LEOs were reporting to at the event. Bongino also said that if there was a suspicious person spotted prior to Trump taking the stage, Trump should not have been out there until the threat was neutralized.
That is what I keep asking myself. Why was President Trump not immediately taken away from the area when the guy was first spotted on that rooftop?

I would modify one thing. The effective range of the 5.56 NATO round with a 55 grain bullet is out past 600 yards.
I used to shoot with a Marine rifleman, who saw NVA get killed at over 600 yards with a Marine fired M-16, while he was in Viet Nam.
An old fashioned .50 cal muzzle loader is considered accurate up to 200 yds and beyond.
And that was with standard issue iron sights.
Not every Rifleman is a sniper just because they have optics, (a telescope), on their weapon which helps them acquire their target wíth more precision than with iron sights.

Well, you cannot shoot without ammunition 😁and 50 rounds of ammo is not a lot when target shooting, considering the first three or five shots are to ensure your weapon is still accurate since the last time it was fired, or in a situation where a scope has just been mounted and the weapon needs to be fired to establish it’s accuracy, as a scope needs to be adjusted to line up with where the bullet has struck it’s target – just slapping a scope on a weapon does not mean it is ready to go to the range nor for deer season until the scope and the rifle are adjusted for the distance and point of impact of the bullet.

I managed a measily 44% with my .38 cal. revolver, and was looking for a rock to crawl under, but within three months had brought my score up to 78%, and to 95% two months after that, all because I had taken the time to go to where I could practice at my leisure and not feel pressured to “perform” in order to not be assigned to desk duty until I could post a score of 70%.
So the same thing with young Mr. Crooks, as it is seldom that anyone qualifies the first time they attempt to shoot a decent score with a handgun.
Secondly, as far as the “range finder”, they can be purchased at a Golf Store, or even a camera store, and of course most sporting goods shops and gun stores ; and as far as learning how to use one, they are relatively simple to use after reading the owners manual.
And then lastly, he had borrowed his father’s rifle and had not “sneaked” it out of the house, per a statement in an initial report by the FBI.

I question the authenticity of the security bubble shown on the overhead view of the grounds. The security bubble is completely inadequate. There are a number of rooftops and a water tower with direct line of sight to the stage. Additionally, the pie shaped cutout from the bubble is curious. What’s the source?
