New details about the assassination attempt on President Trump are coming fast.
Earlier this morning former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino gave his opinion about the Secret Service almost unfathomable drop in security protocol that allowed a gunman with a rifle to climb atop a building a mere 130 yards away from President Trump. Making matters worse, the FBI are in charge of the investigation. The FBI has suffered irreversible credibility collapse, and many believe there is no worse agency to investigate the events than a highly politicized and weaponized Federal Bureau of Investigation, with a long and non-debatable history of corruption.
Obviously, accepting the lack of public trust in both the FBI and Secret Service, there is mounting speculation as to whether the assassination effort was the result of a series of grossly incompetent mistakes, or was perhaps a willfully blind -and intentional- failure of security.
Adding fuel to the fire of intentional security failures, the AP is now reporting that a police officer saw the gunman before the shots were fired, and the police officer retreated allowing time for the shooter to fire 5 shots toward his target – wounding President Trump and two other attendees, killing another.

There is a chain of command that usually comes into play. The LEOs can’t just go around shooting people! Once the shooter fires a shot, the whole scenario changes. Are you asking for LEOs to shoot first, then ask questions? At the time you are speaking of, no crime was committed yet.
No matter what, if you are at a high profile event (one of the worlds more high profile persons), and you see some civilian sneaking up a roof with an AR15, especially in the direction of the high profile person, you shoot that person dead immediately.
Especially the Police Officer should’ve immediately applied deadly force when the assassin pointed his rifle at the Police Officer, who instead retreated instead of at the very least could’ve further distracted him. On the sunny side this may have been why he missed. Missed his intended target, but killed a local fire chief, wounding another spectator. How do you live with that? Because you didn’t act with extreme prejudice a family is without a father.
God please allow those poor unfortunate LEO’s serenity from the aftermath of the devastating violence they avoided.
Please pray they find solace in their taxpayer funded counseling services, and long term health care for their newly developed PTSD.

Crooks was already in the reasonable suspicion (SCOTUS term)/probable cause zone by being up there with the rifle. There is probable cause to confront and place Crooks under Investigative Detention (SCOTUS term) and seize his weapon until the nature of his being ON A ROOF WITH A FULL MAGAZINE IN HIS RIFLE is fully resolved. The office confronting him initially should have approached weapon drawn. If Crooks made a threatening move, he would have been justified shooting him.

The officer needed to be prepared to shoot once the shooter pointed his rifle at him. This exchange would have triggered the counter-snipers. The real problem was that Trump needed to be removed from the stage immediately, but instead he was used as bait.

The two man team on top of the roof evidently never engaged. It certainly didn’t look like either one did anything in the video available. Looked like they both froze up or were ordered not to engage. Accounts are saying they literally watched the guy and had him targeted but never engaged.
The FBI probably whispered the layout to the shooter after identifying him as unstable and able to be directed. That is why the federal community response team cleans up the social media right away, to scrub its own fingerprints from the crime scene.

I live close to where a recent Trump rally was, and I got a visit from USSS, and I’m almost a half mile from where the stage was set up.
Another mystery. Listen and count the shots. There are a series shots which all sound alike (nine?) then there are two shot which sound a bit deeper in sound. I presume it is LE firing at shooter. Then there is a long pause of about nine seconds after the 11th shot. Then there is the 12th shot. Immediately after that the lady screams. Something doesn’t make sense about the last shot. Who fired it? At this point we are assuming the shooter has been killed. Notice people in the crowd reacting to the final shot and the lady’s scream.
More often than not there have been “others” – phantoms, ignored, immediate eye witness reports suppressed… there’s a list of unacknowledged accessories reported then ignored from public FF massacres previous. JFK & Las Vegas, Lewiston more recently… many others; the official stories exclude them & it never adds up.

My brother was one of those shot, btw, and his wife injured in the stampeed. He said people around him started dropping after a sound like a fist hitting a pillow.

I know I’m late to the comments on this post but want to address the comments where people are harshing on the cop who had to back down, duck down, retreat, or whatever from the killer.
This is not the failure of that cop. The failure (or likely intentional setup) is that the conditions were already prepared so the cop can’t win. That roof should have been closed. No excuses. Any access, if any should, have been removed or sealed, and only LEO should have been on the roof. And they SHOULD have been on that roof.
When the cop who DID have the fortitude to go investigate poked his or her head over the top they were in an impossible spot. The ladder is located behind and slightly to the side of where the killer was ultimately positioned. Comparison of the aerial photo of the area with the position of the cop and the position of the shooter shows that the backstop for any lead that cop would start firing will be the speech venue that is supposed to be the protected area. The cop would have to be shooting directly into the very crowd that is supposed to be protected.
The cop should never have been put into that position. The blame rests entirely on the process/people who left those roofs completely un-guarded.
(The photo of the ladder shows that it’s leaned against the outer side of the short connecting passage between the building the killer was on and the one directly behind the killer, as the killer faces the speech venue. The cop would be located behind and to the side of the killer. Look at the angles. Look where any shots from the cop will fall.)

Crooks , the patsy, waited for something once he got into position. Was it to hear the first shot? then he was told to start firing resulting in the crowd being sprayed?

Law Enforcement, Secret Service have a terrifically difficult responsibility. Those of you who have no idea of providing security should keep your silence. I held that type of position with the DoD ealy in the Viet Nam War. Nothing exciting, but I know the requirements.
It’s undoubtedly even more difficult with one arm tied behind your back and blindfolded .

I have 0 experience in this area but would have easily identified the killer’s rooftop as an obvious security vulnerability.

Most of us have no understanding of providing security. But we know that if this is considered a good job of providing security, then “security” is not what we thought it was.
If the Secret Service men didn’t want to shoot Crooks before Crooks started shooting, then couldn’t the Secret Service men have fired a warning shot at Crooks? Maybe hit the roof 10 feet from him?
That might have made Crooks decide not to shoot.

Exactly. It’s not protocol, but in an extraordinary situation and if he couldn’t get a radio call out, the policeman that was on the ladder could have fired warning shots. The secret service people on stage would have definitely rushed the stage and removed Trump if they’d heard shots from 150 yards away.

0.68 seconds – 2nd per shot to 3rd perp shot
2.57 seconds – 3rd perp shot to 1st counter shot
0.26 seconds – 1st counter shot to 2nd counter shot
0.37 seconds – 2nd counter shot to 3rd counter shot
0.16 seconds – 3rd counter shot to 4th counter shot
10.7 seconds – 4th counter to what appears to be a very late shot that occurs just before the heart wrenching scream by a lady in the stands.
The timing of the perp’s shots are periodic and separated by less than a second from one another – he trained for this (although if reports it was a .22 are true, it lessens the degree of practice to cluster them due to negligible recoil. I somewhat discount it due to deadly result).
The 2.57 seconds from the last shot by the perp to the first counter sniper shot raises multiple questions. It tells me they either could not locate the shooter initially or they intentionally delayed returning fire as long as they thought they could get away with.
The spacing of the counter sniper shots, while possible for a well trained shooter, tend to indicate there were 2 taking the shots.
The late shot, over 10 seconds after the 4 counter sniper shots, is troubling – particularly coming just before the lady’s screams. To add to this – the perp only took 3 shots, yet even allowing for the bullet that hit PDJT to have continued and hit one of the rally goers, aren’t enough to account for 3 rally goers hit, one said to have been hit at least 2x…

No. Both are there – except for the very late shot. Their waveforms are different and distinct, as are their sounds.

As a former PM for about 9 years of my career, you simply do not get just over zeroing range of a valuable asset without help. This goes beyond ineptitude, this was planned by someone. I’ve been to 3 presidential (1 Bill Clinton, 2 George W) speaking events in my life. What strikes me about this event is that there were not large screens (think giant sails strung up) of any sort on the flanks of the stage to obstruct the view. Or that the stage wasn’t set into the entrance of the barn. This would have narrowed the direct view to Trump to the frontal crowd area. All those people had to go through the magnetometer.
George W spoke here multiple times in this U shaped campus area. Was there a lot of elevated areas in front of where he was speaking? Yes. But three of the cardinal directions were eliminated by controlling access to those buildings. In this case, large dark colored cloth screens could have been deployed right and left of the stage to obscure any view of Trump outside of the crowd area. Had this been a mentally ill or disgruntled veteran without God’s protection he’d be dead. It was a 20 year old kid that was hurried into taking the shot and he came so close it was only God’s intervention.
Also, this is the one of the oldest and direct means of assassination. What are they going to do when someone flies in a bomb laden drone like in Ukraine?

I believe this assassination attempt just won the election for Trump. The iconic photograph isn’t going away. As poignant as the flag raising photo at Iwo Jima.
But the day of the assassination attempt was a special day. Trump survived by divine intervention….God moved Trump’s head to avoid a head shot. Trump will win in a landslide now. After all the leftist talk of assassinating Trump after the immunity ruling some stupid kid took them up on it. I fully expected something like this. Two observations:
1) Where was the bullet proof glass that always is present in front of Trump at his rallies? Reminds me of the removal of the bubble top on Kennedy’s limousine. It’s almost as if the Secret Service knew there would be someone on the roof.
2) Why was the Secret Service so slow to react after the shooting. Were they giving the shooter time for another shot? I hope Trump ditches Biden’s Secret Service losers and hires his own protection.
3) Sec. Ser. Dir. Kim Cheatle is a DEI incompetent and should resign now.

Ok, playing devils advocate, let’s agree to only fire once the shooter has fired. After being notified for over 2 min that there was a threat on Trumps life, WHY LEAVE HIM ON STAGE? Why wouldn’t you cover him immediately until you are able to investigate and subdue/neutralize the threat. If no threat, Trump can always return to the podium. NONE OF THIS makes any damned sense!
Even the red haired eyewitness said he couldn’t understand why Trump was still speaking.
Even when the SS agents did finally “cover” him, some were ducking to protect themselves, instead of him. He stuck out like a sore thumb!

Who set the rules of engagement?
Who failed to post security or even fly a couple of cheap surveillance drones over the area, especially rooftops within easy sniping distance? These 2 simple steps would have prevented the shooting.
Sorry, but you KNOW that if this had been a demokkkrat event, the assassin would never have been allowed to get anywhere near the event and if seen would have been pre-emptively unalived.
These facts are incontrovertible:
The sniper who, eventually, eliminated the shooter held his fire until after 5 (reported) rounds were fired.
Local LEOs were informed, and one witnessed, a man with a rifle working for firing position on a roof less than 150 yards from the demokkkrats main political opponent and did not stop him.
Just those two facts raise serious questions about USSS and local law enforcement and their “dedication” to protecting the demokkkrats main political opposition.
And don’t lionize the USSS on stage. By the time they moved, the would be assassin had been terminated and the sniper who eliminated the threat would have already broadcast a message, in the clear, that the shooter was “down”.
While they may have been acting as if there was a possibility of a second threat, their actions came far too late to respond to the initial assassination attempt.
Who put the ladder there?
Have heard that a sniper had the shooter in his sights for at least 3 minutes. He asked the head of the SS for permission to shoot. It was denied. Regardless, they should have gotten Trump off the stage before shooting started.
