According to the New York Post, the assassin who tried to kill President Donald J Trump was Thomas Matthew Crooks, age 20 from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
The FBI Pittsburg field office is in charge of the investigation. However, as with all high-profile domestic terror attacks, shootings and killings that directly impact the “peace and tranquility” we can expect the DOJ-CRS to take over the information pipeline.
The FBI is officially calling the shooting an “attempted assassination attempt. The motive is undetermined.

The most damning part of this whole affair is, Snipers were only some 400 feet away from that shooter on a 30 or so ft. elevated roof above him. An EASY, COMPLETE VIEW of that shooter, but couldn’t see him crawling, armed on that roof? NO SIR, I don’t buy this whole scenario.

I just saw this over at Breitbart this morning.
In the article they state the following:
“The F.B.I noted the gunman in the attempt on Trump’s life did not have a criminal history reflected in Pennsylvania’s public court records.”
Then a few paragraphs down:
“Special Agent Kevin Rojek, the FBI officer in charge, said Crooks had been identified using DNA as he was not carrying any ID on him.”
My question is if there was no criminal history, where did they get his original DNA sample to make the comparison?
And personally I have a hard time believing they could get a sample run that quickly. They have to collect a sample, rush it to an FBI lab, sequence the DNA from the sample and then run it against a database of DNA samples. DNA from a guy with no criminal history. So what database did they run the sample against?

It doesn’t mean much, but I find it curious that the Google Maps driver scanned every driveway and parking lot lane of the the AGR International company last November while many other such points on the map were not. Why scan the AGR parking lots and drives?
Tooling around on the Google Map gives one a good sense of the roof levels and potential access points. An assassin going from roof to roof to his final position should be obvious to the counter snipers facing him. They appear to be covering that sector from their barn roof ridge.
One day we will see a diagram of where every agent and LEO was on the ground around those buildings in the moments prior to the shot and their comm data. I suspect that’s where the failure point will be noted.

It might be common practice, but why scan all parking lots around a building campus and then skip a whole neighbohood(Tudor Drive) a half-mile away? Odd.

Try pulling up any imagery from the areas where they staged the St. George of Fentanyl riots. Those areas all stopped having street images in June of 2019, almost as if they knew it was planned. I was a teenager when JFK was shot. I spent four days watching video of the assassination, the cortege, the funeral, the talking heads, all of it. Like most Americans at the time and since then, the view of JFK and Jackie, smiling and waving from the back seat of an open convertible, is burned into our memory.
I also remember, at the time, people talking about the foolishness of politicians and other celebrities riding around in a vehicle with no roof and no protection. It was a natural progression to move to closed vehicles and ultimately, The Beast. I don’t recall anyone suggesting it was cowardly to utilize a safer mode of moving through crowds.
Adaptations are made to suit changing times.
For months I’ve wondered if open air rallies are wise. There’s only so much that can be done to ensure safety. We cannot allow the President’s life to depend upon perfect security — no mistakes — out in an open field. It’s ridiculous and foolhardy to think it can be provided, IMHO.
We adapted to change after the JFK tragedy. Let’s not wait for another tragedy — with the loss of our dear PDJT — to wake us up to the need for change in the times we are living in now.
The rallies are not the motivation of the base; they are an indication of the breadth of the base. I do not think rallies determine whether a person supports DJT.

Last Tuesday, we were at Trump National Doral for his previous rally.
Unfortunately, the 104 degree heat and extreme humidity started making me sick.
After visiting the med tent (w a/c), we decided that more time in the sun was not a good idea.
So, we started walking back to the Doral to go to our room. It was a long walk down 87th in Doral, Fl.
As we approached each traffic light, the adjacent streets that dead-end into 87th revealed
that every agency in Florida had sent police, sheriffs deputies, swat teams,…EVERYBODY!
Each street had 100 patrol cars from all over Florida. It was a sight to behold!
Security was impressive.

From that angle the vehicles traveling seem to be moving in a perfect straight line from bottom to top of the windows. And Oswald had a s scope – at that very close range no challenge at all. His first shot struck Kennedy in the neck. Everyone seems to forget that Oswald only succeeded in spraying the passenger side of the limo with three widely dispersed bullets, one of which just happened to strike Kennedy in the head.
As to the kid on the roof: 100 yards isn’t a difficult range, even with iron sights. As with Oswald, his first shot was the best, the others went wide into the spectators.

You could lock the AR-15 in a vise and group about six inches at 130yds. Add stress, conditions, and inexperience, and I would be surprised if he could hit center of mass. A head shot sounds impossible to me.

In my youth and into my late teens, spent some time plinking cans, bottles etc. with an old .22 caliber rifle. Got pretty good, even hitting a lightbulb from about 50 yards just with the barrel sights. Got my dad fired from his job at PG&E since that lightbulb was part of the freeze protection for some water pipes. Not good.
Fast forward some 35 years, not shooting at all in that time I was invited to go out shooting with some youngsters. A gallon milk jug was out some 100 yds, maybe more, and with a 30.06 with a good scope, hit it on my first shot and repeatedly over and again. The young men were impressed.
But it is very possible, if you have spent any time shooting, and this guy is from Pennsylvania, I would think he may have done dome “plinking” himself out in the rural areas, perhaps even a hunter as well.
