The level of the injury on his ear puts the bullet right above his nose if there hadn’t been an apparently uncompensated for crosswind from his left. Also, there was the sound of a carefully aimed shot, the one that hit his ear, with a number of rapid shots afterwards after the sniper realized he’d missed, the shots which killed and injured the spectators. At least that’s my analysis.

FWIW the shot, the initial shot was accurate. The only reason the round missed, the targeted section of President Trump’s temple area, is because the TARGET changed the angle of impact. Trump turned his head to the side, which allowed the first shot to pass by the side of his head, just enough to miss his head, while still taking a piece out of President Trump’s ear.

There are way too many women in the Secret Service detail that was guarding Trump! (Speaking as a woman here!)
In the video as Trump is being rushed into his vehicle, I observed as least four women in the detail. One SS woman is so short that Trump was exposed to potential, subsequent threats and she could not cover him.
Then another SS woman at Trump’s vehicle was struggling to holster her weapon, attempting to do this at least twice. She had to look down, move some of her belly fat away to find her holster and then holster her weapon.
That is unacceptable.

I am so glad you posted this. I was watching live and I couldn’t believe how UNPROTECTED President Trump was once his SS detail helped him to his feet. He is taller than most of them and his head was constantly exposed! And the tallest agent was horrendous in protecting President Trump and should be fired!
Perhaps they knew that the assassin would be “neutralized” by the time they were moving PDT so they didn’t have to worry about further exposure(?). Just a thought.
Incompetence does not account for all of the obvious gaps in the SS coverage – I, as are many of you, am not buying that explanation for one second. “Mistakes were made…” is not a valid answer to the questions that must arise from this treachery.

They knew they shot one guy. I seriously doubt they had any knowledge as to whether there was a second shooter.
If you listen to the audio, Trump’s microphone on the podium (lectern?) was still on and you could hear ‘Shooter is down,’ very clearly. They had been told that the immediate threat had been neutralized but didn’t know if there was a secondary threat.
They did know..but did they know if there was another shooter?

I had the same reaction on first watching the footage. I even yelled at my phone, “Why’s his head exposed!? Cover his head!”
Maybe their ear pieces told them the shooter was down… but if they weren’t aware of the first one, how could they possibly know there weren’t more out there?! 🤨
I agree that the female members of his detail appear pretty incompetent in that video. I think the one who was messing with her gun was having a problem with her body armor being in her way. And yes, a 5’ tall woman cannot adequately cover a 6’4” man.

I am fine with female SS for female protectees, but SS agents protecting males should be males, big, strong males who can carry a fallen protectee without assistance, if need be.

The spectator who first saw the guy on the roof said he could see him from his vantage point, but the USSS snipers couldn’t because the shooter was on the downslope of the roof away from them. That is, until he got to the peak and took his shots. That said, this spectator said he tried like crazy to get the attention of the cops directed toward that rooftop and they did nothing.

This spokesman helped to cover up the deletion of text messages belonging to 2 dozen USSS officials/agents including Kim Cheatle before and on January 6, 2021.
Secret Service failed in security. They ignored the warnings of many who saw the shooter. WHY IN THE BLAZES was the roof not manned by security. Complete failure of security for those ss agents not in near company of the President.
Those who were near the podium did their job, (I think). There seemed to be some delay after Trump crabbed his ear, and placed himself on the floor. However NOT enough security on those buildings and a family has a loss that was preventable, a crowd of people will be traumatize for some time and Donald J Trump will be forever scared by the manifestation of evil at a beloved rally.
I am convinced the secret service failed their mission. I am sadden.
And if the Secret Service was undermanned, why didn’t one of the 30 state and local cops present man that roof?
