I posted about Judge Napolitano yesterday, then edited it because the Judge himself said this is not true.
I don’t know, or didn’t until yesterday, who Scott Ritter is. It appears he has some ‘issues’ as to the veracity of what he says so this will have to be another one of those ‘wait for 72 hours before forming an opinion’ thing.
There’s been a lot of those ‘wait 72 hour’ things lately. One more won’t break the bank.
Whether or not he is a liar has no relevance on what they did to him. Restricted from leaving the country? Really? I don’t have to wait 72 hours to judge that.
Perhaps they don’t want him to get away before they file some “three felonies a day” (see below) charges they’ve designed for him? From his and Judge Nap’s videos on YouTube about the Ukraine conflict, I’m sure they don’t like his war on the approved narrative.

I have only read/listened to Ritter a few times and am not a follower. I don’t know if he is lying but doubt it.

The man was a U.N. weapons inspector. All the documents are available to you and everyone else. I went back to a youtube video I stored to get Gonzalo Lira’s take in Ritter. GL gave a listing description of Alt Media Outlets he follows/ followed (RIP).
Although he said he despised Scott Ritter (and gave reasons) he said that Scott’s analysis of current situations is accurate so Lira followed him for that reason. He did say Scott’s projections of what happens next are not accurate.

I just read that the list of attorneys being targeted for representing conservatives is in the hundreds. This is another issue that needs to be shouted from the rooftops.
The people who brought the charges need to be stripped of their license. If the Bar Association won’t do it, the state should ban them.
The Supreme Court of each state generally has that responsibility upon the filing of complaints against the attorneys as outlined in the Rules Regulating the Bar.

Only if by “get out of DC” you mean “completely abolish as unconstitutional power grabs.”
The Fed’s job is common defense, international trade agreements, maintaining certain infrastructure, a court of last resort and staying the heck out of the States’ and peoples’ way outside of that.
Education? State issue. Environment? State issue. HUD? State issue. Welfare? State issue. Land management? State issue. Commerce? Only to ensure fair interstate trade (i.e. no interstate tariffs)… otherwise its a State issue.
Realistically, the Federal Government could be a tenth of the size it is today and the Congress a part time position. If it were we could actually afford it.
Good points. The fed govt, however, is not going to be dismantled. Every dept/agency needs to be audited and reviewed (not by insiders). We need a full accounting of what these agencies are spending our tax dollars on… and we need to know who is corrupt.

The threat of that may make many leave of their own accord to avoid the scrutiny. Everyone who leaves needs their security clearance removed. Too many people – millions- have active security clearances.

It’s not even trespassing. The Capital is a public tourist site. Who opened those doors that can only be opened from a monitored booth electronically from the inside. She needs to be deposed… along with many others.

Beg to differ. Defunding agencies is the way to go. Removing security clearances certainly gets the ball rolling. Nobody has the time, energy or funding to work an endlessly litigated budget justification.

US Congress has the power to repeal all of the enabling legislation for the various duplicative US departments.

There IS a need for the 3 Branches of govt to be able to consult with the various depts and agencies of the Exec Branch. The POTUS needs that too. We could start immediately by not replacing workers who retire, getting rid of theor position or transfering the important part to another employee.
Certainly, the fed bureaucracy is too enormous now and needs to be thinned out. That will be a monolithic effort… with a lot of screaming in the background.
Some depts/agencies can and should be moved, eg FBI. Some should be closed: dept of Ed. Maybe FBI headquarters is unnecessary and should be closed altogether. The field offices of all states do need to remain. I think we need the FBI.

Amici in Trump’s immunity case raised this lack of standing by Smith before SCOTUS, and Thomas asked questions about it at oral argument.
Reading the tea leaves of oral argument is hard, but the fact that Thomas brought this out in open court means at least someone read the amici briefs.
A Thomas concurrence could be guidance for Cannon, however. Even if Thomas’ reasoning is not adopted, as long as it’s not directly rejected by the other justices, she could still use it.
And as to the immunity claim, the Court is going to have to decide what acts are covered by immunity and what aren’t. (I doubt anyone would say no immunity, because that ruling could come back to bite a Dem president some day).
So going with Smith’s lack of standing to prosecute anything would give the Court the chance to duck the tricky and politically charged immunity issue for now by throwing out the whole indictment before Chatken, and that would control Cannon’s case, too (plus anyone else indicted by Smith). Remote chance, but it’s a chance.
Hence my preferencecwe FIRST get a ruling on immunity, and authority to declassify, so its clear PDJT could take that 11″ binder and put it all on Truth Social if he wanted, without risking unauthorised disclosure of Classified docs charge ,(cause HE is the ultimate authority, he’,s automatically ‘authorised,’) then get a ruling on whethrr a sitting President can waive priviledge of a formet POTUS,..BEFORE dumping the whole case because Smith is unqualified.
There is the doctrine of judicial restraint, although one of the partners at my old law firm called it “the doctrine of judicial laziness,” not to decide anything they don’t have to decide.
Throwing out all of Smith’s indictments on Smith’s standing (which could help some J6 defendants), is the easy way of ducking the complicated immunity issue. The Court would have to sort out what acts are immune, and what acts aren’t, and that would be some difficult line-drawing. Of course, part of the Court’s job is to draw the difficult lines.
The privilege issue isn’t before the Court, as far as I know, so it would be unlikely to address it. Standing is something, like jurisdiction, that can always be raised by the Court itself. It is rare, but this is a rare situation.
And throwing out all of Smith’s indictments on standing lays the blame on Merrick Garland for appointing Smith in the first place.
Garland could have appointed someone who had be confirmed by the Senate before, but he didn’t. Mueller could be a special counsel because he had previously been confirmed as FBI director (apparently one confirmation suffices).
Garland blew it. As Bandstand used to say, “It’s got a good beat, and I could dance to it.”
I recognise it hasn’t been filed yet, but I anticipate something that would and should be addressed, is can a sitting POTUS waive priviledge, so that a former POTUS can have a warrant served and his docs siezed.

The duo used modern forensics equipment to demonstrate that the 6.5-millimeter Carcano bullet fired from Lee Harvey Oswald’s gun was more than capable of passing through two bodies relatively unscathed. They also argued that the strange path of travel was caused by the destabilizing effect that occurred when the bullet hit the president. The result was a bullet that did not follow a completely straight line. Luke Haag told CBS News, “It’s like a badly thrown football. It normally flies true and straight. When this bullet emerged from Kennedy — or any ballistic medium … it’s now yawing and tumbling.”
A similar 2004 Discovery Channel documentary had comparable results. The show — “Unsolved History: JFK — Beyond the Magic Bullet” — included a re-enactment of the “magic bullet” shot, and the round was shown to display a very similar path of travel to the one suggested in the Warren Report.

Well, yet ANOTHER reason to pass School Choice, enabling parents to detirmine where their kids will be taught, and having thectax $’s go with them.
School Choice is a fast track to higher local taxes …. that Tax Money going with the student departing HAS TO BE REPLACED because the education system left behind will still exist and needing funds to continue operating.
School choice does not fix the problem.
Plus, it will only be a matter of a very short time when those schools gaining students will be rightly forced to toe the party line because they took public money and their standards will have to comply to keep that money flowing.
School choice with public money creates the bigger mess desired. It hastens the destruction of alternative choices to “public schools” by legally dragging their standards down to that of the poorly run districts loosing students and money.

Parents do not always get a free ride when

The facts are that we knew it worked to prevent PCP, a deadly pneumonia, in immune-compromised people because in the 1970s we discovered that and it changed the face of leukemia — patients routinely were killed by PCP during their treatment as their immune system was trashed by the drugs. Prophylaxis with Bactrim stopped that and made a huge difference in leukemia mortality.
I am not going to forget about that nor will I forgive anyone involved — ever.
The entire “mask”, “distancing” and other garbage was known to be garbage within a couple of months. I reported on the Iranian hospital study in which they found culturable virus in the bathrooms, specifically in the suction grates on the ventilation system at ceiling level, yet could not find culturable virus on the tray tables in the patient rooms. This was hard evidence that the virus was both airborne and in feces (and farts), and thus not primarily droplet based. As a result masks were known worthless; only a PAPR or other positive-pressure delivery mechanism is sufficient to provide any meaningful protection so all the alleged “social mitigations” were worth zero. We knew all this with scientific certainty by the early summer of 2020 and I wrote on all of it at the time.
Note that the culpability for all of this goes far beyond the medical system. The alleged “pandemic” was a fabulous excuse for all manner of ——- in the economy generally, including a permanent 33% increase in the size of the federal government — an increase that resulted in all of the recent-years inflationary pressures. Reading Scott Atlas’s excellent book, “A Plague Upon Our House” tells the most complete detailed story from the perspective of someone who was there, on the inside, and he makes it clear that by mid summer, President Trump was well aware that many of things he had been told had not actually been true, but for reasons that Atlas did not understand, he did not course correct at that time. I would recommend this book to any Treepers who have not yet read it!
I think it was Kash Patel who touched in this a while back. Trump was opposed to the two week lockdown. Then on May 28, he signed six more election-related bills.
Senate Bill 101 bans ranked-choice voting in Louisiana elections.
House Bill 476 restricts people from delivering more than one absentee ballot via mail unless they are sending ballots on behalf of immediate family members.
Senate Bill 155 only allows individuals to assist with more than one absentee ballot if they are helping immediate family members.
Senate Bill 218 requires someone assisting a voter to provide their address and relationship to the voter and reveal if they were paid to assist. It also mandates that someone can only submit more than one application to vote by mail if they are submitting for an immediate family member.
Senate Bill 226 makes sure an absentee ballot that is missing information and is not fixed by the voter is considered a challenged ballot that is only counted if the majority of the election board decides it should be.
