I am leery of this narrative on several levels.
First and foremost, I anticipate a move at the R convention to try to replace PDJT as the nominee, with RDS.
They will use the convictions as an excuse, but may well also bring up age.
And any urging that we change the format for the Convention, especially all in a hurry, smacks of thebkind of dirty dealing the DeSantis/Sea Island crowd are known for.
Beyond that are practicalities; do the RNC rules allow for such a last minute change, and a Zoom vote?
They paid a deposit to rent the hall, etc. and every delegate has made arrangements; is that all cancelled, or do they go ahead and HAVE the Convention even though the big deal has already been done?
So, very leery of any plan to change the Convention.

As favorable as these polls for President Trump are, I keep saying you have to ignore RCP poll averages as not being accurate. They are using polls in their averages that are 2-3 months old in some cases.
Take Wisconsin, where they claim Trump has the narrowest lead of any swing state. In 2020, RCP’s final average poll for WI showed Biden winning by 6.7%. He won by 0.7%, and we all know even that vote was suspect.
Also, they do not include some polls that are even more favorable for President Trump.
How can Trump only have a 2.3% lead in Pa? On election night in 2020 he held a 700k vote lead when they stopped counting. Tells me people aren’t answering the polls accurately.

I tried one night to answer a poll but it was taking them so long to get around to the questions part I had to hang up. I had other things to do, like finish my dinner.
I’m 71, registered to vote at 18, and have never been polled. I’ve had jury duty four times though. They can find you when they want to.
Polls don’t take into account a semi load of fake ballots generated during the pause in counting. They also don’t account for over 100,000 more ballots than voters in one state. Then there are the anomalies of more ballots supposedly sent out than the postage paid to mail them.
And if you work for AP or other “news” organizations you may not do investigative journalism to get to the bottom of it.
Regarding the lead shown in the polls, Jay Valentine has demonstrated that every state voter roll has a capacity for cheating between 5% and 18%.

Matthew Graves has spent his entire career in DC where Merrick Garland has worked for a couple of decades. Garland easily could have recommended Graves to Biden’s transition team or Biden himself.

We in the trenches while keeping our heads down working got too many examples of the leaders kicking dirt back into the trenches instead of working with us. Oh, and they have had Mrna technology to make vaccines, for 20+ years, every time they tried it on animals, they killed all of the test subjects.
This is what kept me from getting the shot initially. The knowledge that, despite trying to get an mRNA vaccine to market for the last 20 years, makers kept failing because of pathogenic priming – when the animal given the shot was subsequently exposed to the pathogen they were “vaccinated” against, they died.
Then they fast tracked it.
And THEN they destroyed the control group in the experiments by vaccinating ALL of the trial participants.
Didn’t take the vaxgene. Won’t take another vaccine of any kind ever again.

I’m early 70s, I live alone, not much exposure to others in daily life except the grocery store, dinner out, no kids bringing bugs home
They’re converting many traditional vaccines to the mRNA type now
I did get a 2-dose course of shingles vaccine year before last, my 2nd treatment of 2 that are recommended
I took care that it was an old type, not a new mRNA type, looked at the label, which was Shingrix, an old type
And got suckered into a “seasonal pneumonia” vaccine last year by my primary care doc
But no more – I’m done, tetanus is recently up-to-date and I’m done on shingles so that’s it for me …

i listened to the big pharma criminals carefully and determined they were lying for the money involved. Dr. David Martin clued me in to what they were doing with the patents back at the beginning. Made my own decision not to participate while all those around me did and complained that I was a conspiracy theorist and shunned me but I held firm.
Consequently I don’t have any friends now but I’m alive as a result of my decision for I would have surely died from a blood clot as I’m subject to them.
The answer is simple: we didn’t
Although I do have to say that in addition to this, I was not going to (and did not) put a computer created mrna strand into my body designed to give my dna a message to program it to create manmade spike proteins – I knew I would rather trust my God given immune system so there’s that angle as well

Judge Aileen Cannon is planning on holding a sprawling hearing on Donald Trump’s request to declare Jack Smith’s appointment as special counsel invalid, signaling the judge could be more willing than any other trial judge to veto the special prosecutor’s authority.
The planned hearing also adds a new, unusual twist in the federal criminal national security case against the former president: Cannon on Tuesday said that a variety of political partisans and constitutional scholars not otherwise involved with the case can join in the oral arguments on June 21.
It’s an extraordinary elevation of arguments in a criminal case first filed a year ago this week that likely won’t see trial until next year, if at all.
Two former Republican-appointed US attorneys general, Edwin Meese and Michael Mukasey, are part of the groups of so-called “friends of the court” that side with Trump and whom Cannon will hear from. The three groups will be allowed to argue, in addition to Justice Department and defendants’ lawyers, for 30 minutes each, according to the court record.
Meese and Mukasey have special insight to share with the judge, they say, given their former roles leading the Justice Department.

IF Judge Cannon dismisses the case in Fla., based on finding that Smith was improperly appointed, DOES that have any effect on Smiths other case in D.C.?
It should as that would invalidate Smith’s standing, but who knows with that bunch.

Best case, she locks him up for criminal contempt. Second best case, she rules anything in any case drawing from or connected to his office is fruit of a poisonous tree and must be rejected. That would bump this up to SCOTUS rather quickly.

I’m not a lawyer, but there must be something different about this case for Judge Cannon to take it seriously….and scotus justice Thomas to bring up an interest in it earlier.
Is it that the other special counsels had been nominated by a president and confirmed by Congress in their prior positions before being appointed…..and Jack Smith was not?
As I understand it, thats the issue, yes.
The WAY a SC is appointed is layed out, in the Statute on SC.
They can’t just grab some guy, theres a process and proceedure.
As we have seen, a SC can totally hamstring an admin. and go off on all sorts of tangents.
At the very least in their appointment every effort should be made to insure they will nor abuse the unprecedented power they are given.
