After we checked on Sunday following President Trump announcing his TikTok account he had 800,000 followers. Today at the same time he has over 3.8 million followers; that is a gain of approximately 3 million followers in the past 24 hours and growing.
Additionally, according to the Trump campaign and Eric Trump, donations have flooded into the campaign as the American public show their contempt for the judicial Lawfare with their wallets and support. As noted by Eric Trump approximately 30% of the donations came from people who had never donated to a political campaign before, and $70 million of the initial funds raised were small donors (under $250).

I don’t condemn young Trump at all for anything he said. But when he mentioned the black vote coming over “in spades” I was giggling. I know the expression. I know what it means and I know it’s actually appropriate. But “spades” so close to “black [people]” is something I sort of expect people to go after.
But I also expect a “super cut” of 30+ black people saying they didn’t see anything wrong or that young Trump is right.

Tips for joining Tik Tok:
— Sign up with email (preferably a junk account). Do not give them your phone number. Certainly do not tie it to an existing account (google, apple, twitter, etc)! Those come at the expense of sharing data between the platforms.
— Do not download the app. Use the web interface. Mobile apps almost always scrape your personal data and sell it (or worse).
— Follow some high profile ‘progressive’ accounts as well to ‘eff’ with their algorithms. It will help push DJT’s content outside the echo chamber by associating it with people who watch progressive content.
— Comment on his videos. Engagement is a large part of their promotion algorithms.

In a surprising turn of events, President Biden recently signed into law a bill that requires ByteDance, TikTok’s Chinese owner, to divest the app within nine months or face a ban in the US.
