At this point in time finding Donald Trump guilty of anything, any crime at all, is just a matter of Judge Juan Merchan following through on expectations.
The entire world is watching what happens in New York City through the prism of ridiculous lawfare and politics. No intellectually honest observers believe this is a trial about substance, guilt, criminal activity or innocence therein. The illusion of a nonprejudicial justice system has long past and everyone can see the extreme politicization taking place in Judge Merchan’s courtroom.
Finding President Trump guilty of a crime is seemingly a foregone conclusion. Even the White House is saying Joe Biden will deliver remarks to the nation from the official executive office as soon as the guilty verdict is delivered {SEE HERE}.
Judge Merchan has yet to release the public version of jury instructions, however he previously decided last week that the jurors do not need to agree on a predicate crime in order to fund President Trump guilty of trying to hide one.

Amazing that the NY judicial system is just standing by and letting this occur. Not a peep. Why would anyone want to live and or do business in NY? It will be interesting to see the long-term consequences of this ‘trial’. (May I live that long!)
It wouldn’t be appropriate for other judges in their court system to speak out publicly about a case they have not presided over or reviewed the evidence. It’s also not appropriate for judges to comment on cases that haven’t been decided, or cases that are likely to come to them for appellate review. Imagine if that kind of influence was allowed over judges as they decide on cases. The “behind the scenes” influence is bad enough.
Hopefully, the jury will see thru the crazy, say “not guilty” and put this thing to bed. If not, that will be the time for appellate judges to slap down this out of control political judge. Far better to maintain some semblance of the integrity of our judicial system than for anyone try to put this judge in his place right now.

Merchan is an Assoc Justice on the NY Supreme Court. There is almost nil righteous law left in the Judicial System.
In New York they have named the basic local, trial courts the “Supreme Court” instead of calling it the “ Superior Court” or some such name. It is not an appellate court or court of review.
For example, in Arizona we have Justice courts and city courts for traffic tickets and misdemeanors, the State Superior Courts for felonies and misdemeanors and settling most civil dispute above the petty level, the State Court of Appeals, and the State Supreme Court which is a single court.
Companies have been leaving NYC regularly since covid lockdowns and not returned. Since the trial started, many investment firms, real estate brokers and other investors have moved their business and their personal residences out of NYC as well as elsewhere in the state. This is a bad place to work or live, and now with all these illegals destroying city, costing it millions, it’s forcing more people out. You can’t fix this city without getting rid of the cause and that’s the democrat cabal that’s run the city for decades..

The judicial system in this country by and far is as rotten as the rest of it. They’re for the most part institutionalists and care more about the process than about the people in it. These people are also in their own bubbles isolated from us and think that the “law” is sacrosanct and permanent. It isn’t.
The reason the “law” exists is because the alternative is violence. The problem is that the only way that works is if it isn’t abused and is applied fairly to everybody, or nobody. And that clearly is not the case anymore. And what is going to floor these judges and lawyers is the moment when people either stoop down to their level and start abusing the legal system in kind, or throw it out entirely and violence becomes the law of the land again.
This is what I keep on wondering about; how does the NY judicial system not see the permanent damage this hearing is doing to all of them?

There’s a dozen, maybe a 1001 different dystopian scenarios that all amount to (a) the Democrats cannot win the 2024 election, any more than they won the 2020 (or 2018 & 2022 midterms), (b) now that they have nearly absolute power, they will not voluntarily leave power, elections or no elections, (c) they will arrest, prosecute, jail, and/or murder anyone to retain power “… by any means necessary”, and (d) they BELIEVE that they will be successful in doing all of the above, that no one can stop them, and (e) if all of the above causes a civil war, they believe that the country will mobilize, follow them, FIGHT for them, and that they will still win.
Election fraud, assassination, civil war, whatever, they WILL do it because they live in their own bubble and believe their own lies. That doesn’t mean that they will be successful. Trump will have something like 4K or 10K appointees, and the significant ones, i.e. the ones who will actually RUN the govenment for him, will be subject to a veto-proof, perpetual Senate Dem/RINO majority. He won’t be able to do anything, or compel Executive Branch officials and civil service employees to follow his directives, absent the support of the Senate. That’s the dirty truth. The case in NY is a state level case. Perhaps if you had cited a NY statute, your argument would have been clearer and more on point.

I pray at least one juror will stand up to the Law and not convict Trump of the non Crime.
