Professor Alan Dershowitz went to New York City to sit in on the ridiculous trial of President Donald Trump. Apparently, Dershowitz just had to see for himself what he was hearing from others about the insane rantings and rulings of Judge Merchan.
Mr. Dershowitz said he sat in the front row and had a ringside seat to some of the worst judicial conduct he has ever witnessed in a judge.

I read an article yesterday in which he wrote about what he saw, and ripped the corrupt media in how they are reporting what is going on vice what is actually happening. He went so far as to say hearings should be televised so people can see what is going on, and demand accountability for these hacks.
Should be a good wake-up for him on what we have known the media to be all along.

Yes, and denied, along with motion for Judge Merchan to recuse based on his daughter being a Democrat fundraiser, a clear violation of NY state rules on judicial conduct.
The venues were all selected based on the jury pool. If the jury pool does not come from at least an 80% Biden/Obama site, then it wasn’t a good place. Evidently Jack Smith was worried that the South Florida venue was a little too close to Trump and that’s why he’s using a DC grand jury indictment with a Florida court.
At what point will any of the MSM outlets even hint the truth to their viewers? What’s going on in the NYC Kangaroo Kourtroom of Merchant of Poison tells you everything you need to know. Although I commented elsewhere about this article and how Dershowitz called out the media hacks for how they are twisting or not even reporting accurately what is going on in this courtroom, I am having second thoughts on his outrage.
I am thinking Dershowitz was as outraged or more so over how he was portrayed in the media than how they are misreporting on this judge.
Yes, he calls out the media, but if you read the article linked above, he calls out how the media falsely reported him having a spat with abNormal Eisen first.
Thinking about it. I am wondering why Dershowitz is so outraged over the actions of this judge and how the media reports on things happening in his courtroom, while completely ignoring one of the very demons responsible for so much destruction of our judicial system by his Lawfare.
If Dershowitz were not pretending not to know things, he would be calling out Eisen for his Lawfare actions.
And remember (or be informed) that Dershowitz was among the Epstein accused. At least one of the young women was adamant, repeatedly, that Dershowitz was one of the men who abused her. He might of course be telling the truth in his denials, but also of course he presumably resents the media for bringing that out too.

Dershowitz hasn’t been one of my favorites since he was part of the defense team which chose to turn a straight up domestic violence incident of rage resulting in the murder of two people into a race war; I thought that was unethical.
But I have listened to enough of his interviews the last eight years, since all the ridiculous Lawfare being conducted against President Trump, to be persuaded that he is legitimately concerned about the Constitution and the demise of our legal system by the unprecedented weaponization of it.
If Dershowitz WAS guilty of doing anything unseemly/abusive to any of Epstein’s stable of young women, you can guarantee he would have been indicted and prosecuted by now, because he’s been very vocal about his support of Trump regarding all of these bogus cases. Last week WaPo had an editorial on how Biden should delay banning menthol cigarettes, which apparently have a greater risk of causing lung cancer, because those cigarettes are so popular with black people.

Getting a conviction of Trump at any cost and with maximum attendant punishment is a means to an end, to ensure the money keeps flowing.
Dershowitz did not come out an explicitly say it, but it appears he thinks the fix is in, that Trump will get convicted, no matter the perversion of the law, no matter the lack of evidence, no matter the lack of due process. If Trump is convicted, then it will likely be overturned due to the outrageous nature of the current trial, but that overturn will not happen until after the 2024 election when it may be too late.
The same cabal of lunatics that are attacking this country through the lawfare against Trump is the same cabal that orchestrated the 2020 election steal. You want proof of massive voter fraud in the 2020 election, then look no further than what is happening to Trump today.
Scary times are ahead…At some point, a tipping point is reached. And when that happens, only God knows where things will end up. But chances are that outcome will not something that these lunatics contemplated in their Ivy League school game theory models.
I am wondering if they do convict, will this hack judge sentence President Trump to home confinement until the appeal can be heard, along with the humiliation of an ankle bracelet ? I am sure the appeal process(es) would be expeditied emergently so maybe it’s a moot point.

If Costello muttered “jeez” too low for the jury to hear, and Costello was facing the judge when Costello rolled his eyes, the first indication to the jury that something out of the ordinary had happened would have been when Merchan started yelling. “Has the judge lost it?” is not what a prosecutor wants the jury to think.
They’ve been told not to listen to or read news about the trial, but I would guess a few will try to find out what was going on – or a friend or family member will tell them.

I don’t think such a bill would pass SCOTUS muster. If I remember rightly, a term limit bill was rejected by SCOTUS because the Constitution did NOT authorize such a restriction on those running for office (except for President). But then the Presidential term limits were ratified into the Constitution as Amendment 22. It would take a like amendment to limit Presidential candidates who are convicted felons from running. I don’t think it would be ratified by 2/3 of the states.

Being a lawyer with “60 years experience”, Dershowitz is well practiced at playing the outrage card in a “calm manner”. He does so in this video clip and it was a nice to see … but …. it would have been more effective for him to apply that “60 years of experience” to lay out the evidence WHY the Judge went berserk for the benefit of anybody seeing this clip (live or otherwise) who may be a la lander waiting to be convinced.
The memory of “Outrage” is very short lived when compared to a passionately deliver explanation of WHY.
The judge was upset in this instance because the questions being asked directly refuted, as lies, Cohens testimony using Cohen’s own words. The judge allowed every objections by prosecutors that constantly interrupted testimony and truck every word of testimony related to the objection. Dershowitz should have described these sequences in a little detail.
The judge also went berserk when the defense tried to put an expert witness on the stand who would have provided the “technical legal” evidence that there is NO CRIME. The judge disallowed the testimony.
It’s great that Dershowitz is willing express outrage. Yet, the time used by Dershowitz to “calmly vent” would have been sufficient to accomplish much much more in the way of education for la la landers to ponder later.
I will end with this … the outrage and berserk behavior of the lawfare crowd is now nearing 7-Years in age and has not slowed one bit … while the inhabitants of la la land persist in their self-imposed ignorance. People like Turley and Dershowitz have weight with these la la landers but for some reason these sympathetic “liberals” never seem to get around to leaving a memorable message for the la la landers to ponder.

I really don’t think the verdict, even if it convicts Trump, is going to stop Trump’s momentum- besides he conflict of interest with his daughter (who raises million$ from Trump haters), the Judge has made so many reversible errors in this trial (including the above) that the case will be thrown out…..The Left must be gnashing their teeth at how their Lawfare attacks on Trump played out: Fani WIllis under indictment; Judge Erdegon- under indictment; Jack Smith forced to admit he doctored the picture of “Top Secret” dox at MAr-A-Lago (his guys stapled the top sheets on before photographing) AND were so sloppy Smith admitted he can no longer determine which dox Trump personally packed and which were packed by his staff…and then this Farce of a trial. PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE: These are the Best and Brightest that the Dems could tap to “get Trump”…do you want to let THEM run our country? HAven’t 3.5 years of Biden shown you ANYTHING???? Trump has left them all in the dust…….
