In a moment of serendipitous timing for Zelenskyy, Iran fired approximately 300 drone missiles toward Israel. Now Congress is promoting further funding for Israel and Ukraine. Serendipitous serendipity strikes again.
Keep in mind, the flight time over the 1,000-mile distance provided plenty of time for Israel to prepare and respond with countermeasures, making a suspicious type of person wonder why Iran would even go through the exercise.

What they cost is not The issue. The US can print all the money it needs. The fact that the AD missiles will now and in the FUTURE, need to be replaced is the elephant in the room.
Thanks to Ukraine, US/NATO countries are running short of AD and many other weapons. Money can be printed to build weapons. But you can’t produce them out of thin air like money. We also need weapon factories and skilled defense workers. Two things the west is in very short supply of.

Many read my updates that I am providing quite regularly since the war began because I have access to material and videos that are not available overseas.
So I have been a Trump supporter and have the outmost respect to Sundance and American patriots.
Now, because I am here on this platform and other reasons I do understand the mindset of the people here that is a specific spectrum in the American society, it’s not 100% uniform but has its close similarities. I understand “America First” and why foreign aide is not so popular when you have enough things going on inside the US that need funds.
I also understand how sneaky the DNC can be and would use crisis to pass bills and tie Israel Aide to Ukraine Aide and possibly into a Palestinian aide too . I get it. I do!
However with the outmost respect I do want to make a correction to your introduction Sundance my friend and make a case for a possible reconsideration of the subject.
Unfortunately I have to get a bit technical to explain what happened so bear with me.
What just happened is not just “approximately 300 drone missiles toward Israel that had to pass a 1000 miles so why did they even bother?” I will provide the numbers and intent:
Over 331 launches. Launches from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon. All done in coordination of timing. Of those about 185 were drones, that do take long time to arrive if it’s from Iran and much less from neighboring nations like Syria and Lebanon.
About 110 were Ballistic missiles that take 7-20 min to make it from Iran depending on the model that they use and much less if from any of the other nations. Those fly in an arch and very high, could even be in space and carry very heavy loads of explosives. They have those which carry 3,300 Lb. warhead and others 1,100 Lb. explosives. They fly in a speed of 12-16 the speed of sound (Mach). 16 Mach = 12,276 Miles per hour.
I would like to mention that in 1991 when I was in a long trip to England, Saddam Hussian fired tens of Skaad Ballistic missiles to Israel. The US tried to help with the Patriot Defense systems and yet many hit targets in Tel Aviv and around. My wife at he time was literally hearing missiles over her apartment, she was lucky unlike some others. I tried hard to persuade her to come to the UK, as her job was closed, so why stay? Eventually in a window of time she made it and was completely traumatized. Took long to overcome. And then the missiles were not so fast and dangerous as what Iran has now.
Any of those missiles will destroy a target and the concrete safe rooms wouldn’t help.
36 cruise missiles were also fired yesterday. Cruise missiles missiles are also large and deadly but fly low and it’s hard to see them on radars.
This was the largest drone/missile attack in history in a single coordinated time unit.
It was also a historic success to prevent the consequences that defied all statistical expectations.
The drones too are smaller and slower and a jet fighter has a hard time to spot them and lock on them. Israel has the F35 jet fighter and has an upgraded technology that enables to see drones too. We don’t have many F35s. In many cases the pilots who had to fly over hostile nations used their cannons to take down drones.
The US with British help and ,possibly Jordanian a bit too, took down 70 targets.
The rest was the IDF.
What was targeted? We know that Air Bases. But also Dimona city area was heavily targeted, many interceptions took place there, and that means the area of the nuclear reactor. There is no other reason for targeting the small city of Dimona.
A ballistic missile on the reactor could have cause a nuclear blast and the beginning of a World War. There were more strategic targets, we don’t know all the coordinates.
Israel with the USA managed to stop all the Drones and cruise missiles before it entered Israel. Israel stopped 99% of the ballistic missiles. I have to mention that yesterday, the day of the attack, one of the most searched terms on Google in Hebrew was “Psalms”.
People were praying. What can you do when you’re home and know that hundreds of explosive devises are on the way and I have to mention the distrust on the military after the mess-up of 10/7, people turned to God.
So usually statistically such defenses have about 90%-95% success and many of the defense technologies were used for the first or second time only. 99% success is a miracle!
What would happen if such attack was aimed at the US? Thousands killed or maimed.
And an attack on a nuclear facility like happened yesterday would have possibly cause a nuclear disaster Heavens Forbid.
You may value or not the aide to Israel. You may or may not accept the false propoganda about “genocide” in Gaza. But from a purely self interest kind of point of view you need to know that aside from miracles and a bit of help, what was in action are the world’s best technologies of the Israeli Iron Dome, David’s Sling, Arrow 2 and Arrow 3. Those are all layers of Israeli defensive missiles that shoot down incoming missiles.And we saw the power of a historic alliance of the IDF (Israeli Military) with its allies which was practiced over decades.
Also improved radar systems that are Israeli and other means that are confidential.
Israel is also close to have an operational Laser Defense system that will revolutionize the defenses and later offense too.
Israel uses US aide to develop all the systems. Israel gives the US access to the technologies. In a future World War having those technologies may just save your own life and family. And, if a World War looks far fetched, then you need to look at history.
It’s not a matter of “if”, It’s a matter of “when?” . We too lived in our comfort zone until one day 10/7 we find ourselves in a War reality. You never foresee the worst, most people avoid looking at potential existential threats and focus on immediate threats.
Israeli technology is important to the US and I am not mentioning other technologies like medical breakthroughs that millions of Americans are already using. And many of the brains of computers (microprocessors) are developed in Israel by companies like Intel. Even the flash drive was an Israeli invention and the first instant messaging systems and the best Cyber Security that all the banks use to defend your accounts and even the first cell phone was a joint development of Motorola with Israeli Engineers in Israel. And to end it all I will mention that the belief in one God also came from Israel and of course the Bible and Jesus Christ.
So I hope my post was of some value. We will survive also without US money and maybe even better for us in the long run.
We didn’t have the US in 1948 when some 8-10 Arab nations surrounded us and went to war and our military was still brand new. We have Spirit and perhaps some Devine Intervention.

It is fantastic to see that President Reagan’s idea of a missile defense becoming a reality. I still remember all how he was denigrated by all kinds of experts when he talked about the space defence. But the idea helped to win the Cold War and Israel has managed to develop a really functional anti-missile shield.Wonderful!
We don’t know if the laser was used yesterday. I posted one video on the open thread with an unexplained interception that could have been the laser. It is projected to come into actual operation in about a year. With the pressure of war maybe faster. There are many other means to confuse various kinds of missiles. Israel shut off the GPS around strategic locations too. Here is a short video. The laser system has weaknesses like weather and range, but we don’t have a full data.

In her interview posted above, Caroline Glick tells how in 2016, Obama offered more aid–if all the money was all spent at Raytheon, Boeing, etc,. It killed Israel’s own defense industries to the point of begging for bullets, which was of course Obama’s goal. She thinks Israel should rebuild those and phase out aid, although not go cold turkey during a war I assume.
She is right and it’s in progress.
But at the moment we may need some help as it’s a once in a generation crisis and every day is expensive.
