A no no since it requires consent from both parties. Miss Fuchs then altered the call, sent it to a newspaper and then to Fani to help prosecute a case against Donald Trump and others.
It seems to me Miss Fuchs should be testifying under oath. Let’s unravel the whole yarn.

The judge in his dismissal rulling said these six charges were lacking detail and too vague for the defendants to be able to prepare a defense.
IF the DA’s office can come up with sufficient evidentiary detail to include in the new indictments AND if the grand jury votes in favor, then they can refile. Then the court would give the defense the additional time to prepare against the “new” refiled charges
Bad news for Fani because refiling would likely prevent getting a trial before the election.

If MAGA didn’t do polling, the GOP candidate wouldn’t have underperformed the polls on election day in the last few election cycles and key elections. Instead, the GOP candidate would have overperformed the polls. MAGA does polls, probably more than some other key demographics, there just aren’t enough MAGA to win elections other than in the reddest states and districts. We need to get votes from independents and people who aren’t all that informed about politics. That’s why I’m glad that Lara Trump is implementing a get out the vote effort and ballot harvesting at the RNC. Time to start winning instead of doing the same thing over and over and losing.

I’d be careful throwing out all those kids. The leadership is bonkers and sucks in most ways, but the cadets, while not a strong as past years due to DEI, are still capable folks and have generally patriotic parents.

Biden received about 100,000 more votes than President Trump in Washington state yesterday. Call it 60/40. Not enough for President Trump to win the state in the general election, of course, but I was surprised that the gap had narrowed.

I am trying to find some research on voting centers and would very much appreciate any reputable sources that would be helpful. A democrat in my area is pushing for them, so I’m thinking that they cannot be a good thing.
I was curious and did a very brief internet search.
There are 18 states and DC that allow voting centers as an alternative to traditional neighborhood precincts. The idea is that the voter can vote at any center regardless of their address within the greater jurisdiction, like a county.
My initial reservation for what it’s worth is the more centralized the greater the chance for fraud. Like with ballot counting which used to occur at the precinct where the voting took place and now ballots are trucked to an urban dem controlled counting center. Also to some degree the neighborhood precinct may have long-time volunteers who are more likely to recognize voters.
Nevada has something similar, where one can vote at any voting location but the ballot they receive is still based on the precinct in which they live. It was set up that way when the C-19 virus was locking everything down so seen as a convenience for those voting in person to go to a place with less congested traffic. They can even vote in a county they are not residing in but again, their ballot will be for the county where they live and will take longer to be received by their home county – which adds time for coming up with final vote totals, so also another excuse or reason for adding up to a week after election day to have final numbers.
They do that in my county in TX. Of course we require photo ID to vote. They run the card through some verification machine to validate that it’s real.

Hmmm the old system of each voting at THEIR precinct, especially combined with our (unfortunate) tendency to insist on voting IN Person, ON Election day in the current system, makes it foolishly easy for them to disenfranchish massive #’s of OUR votes.

Like during the American Revolution most of the American military leadership came from the ranks of the American Militia in the British Army and fought side by side with the Redcoats against the French and Indians in several wars. The last being Pontiacs War. As I recall there were Americans at Fort Pitt and with the Black Watch at Bushy Run.
I always found it troubling that Americans would take up arms against the very military that destroyed both the French and Indians who were a deathly threat for a hundred years!

To any persons in the state of Kansas. You may want to be aware of this. State House Speaker Dan Hawkins detailed a House Commerce, Labor, and Economic Development Committee meeting held on HB 2766. HB 2766 would create the Kansas Land and Military Installation Protection Act. Supposedly to address increasing concerns about land ownership by foreign adversaries, such as China, Russia and North Korea. If passed the bill would require a 150-mile buffer around military installations.
I don’t know what these legislators are thinking. How about no buffer and no allowance to build or own a company in Kansas at all by any foreign country that presents a national security threat.
According to Speaker Hawkins newsletter, The Chinese parent company in question is Cnano USA Inc. This company currently wants to build a facility in KS approx 70 miles from Missouri’s Whiteman Air Force Base. Cnano employs dozens of CCP members and sold products to a Chinese university for its use in a Chinese military program. The USA Cnano president is Shawn Montgomery and he was apparently evasive when questioned by the committee.

On March 11, 2024 the Kansas House Committee held a hearing on a bill that would prohibit state and local enforcement of most federal gun control on the books.
From the article: ‘The House Federal and State Affairs Committee introduced House Bill 2803 (HB2803) on Feb. 15. Titled the Kansas Gun Rights Preservation Act, the bill would prohibit an agency of the state, a political subdivision of the state, and their employees from knowingly and willingly participating in any way in the enforcement of any federal act, law, executive order, administrative order, rule or regulation regarding a firearm, firearm accessory or ammunition against a law-abiding citizen.
I have not read the bill with a critical eye as yet, but the fact that Biden is threatening an EO prohibiting all guns, makes me think the general principal / idea of this bill is a good thing.
“Law enforcement agencies lined up to oppose the measure, including the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, the Kansas Highway Patrol, the Kansas Peace Officers Association, the Kansas Sheriffs Association, and the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police. What is it every talking head is telling us all to do? Contact our local Sheriff and find out how he/she will deal with Fed overreach. Yet it appears from the above statement in the post that the Sheriff’s association is apposing the bill.

The law prohibiting convicted felons of gun possesion is a FEDERAL law, hence when local LE apprehend a suspect and he is a felon in possesion, they inform the FEDS, who may or may not come pick him up, and send him to fed prison for 7-10 years.
This law would prohibit local/State LE from having this option, and would mean basically catch and release, for gun toting ex cons.
