(Via The Hill) – The Republican National Committee (RNC) failed to earn enough support from states to bring a resolution to ban paying former President Trump’s legal bills to a vote.
Henry Barbour, who serves as Mississippi’s national committeeman, confirmed to several news outlets that the resolutions he drafted that would have prohibited the committee from covering the former president’s growing legal bills is dead.
The RNC is meeting Friday in Houston to elect a new chair after former Chair Ronna McDaniel announced she would resign on March 8.
Barbour confirmed to Politico that the resolution is “dead” and won’t be voted on during Friday’s meeting because he only received co-sponsors from eight out of 10 required states to bring the resolution to a vote. (read more)

Why should it be surprising that Dhillon or any other GOP rep amounts to DeceptiCon? I think that should be the starting point–that they are a DeceptiCon until they demonstrably prove otherwise. Even then, one should keep a watchful eye lest they ‘turn’ via bribery by MegaDonors or blackmail by the Deep State.
Unless someone can convince me otherwise (and I hope you can because I do not enjoy holding to my current view), unless/until the corruptive demon$ in the political system are exorcised (via term limits, campaign finance reform in light of constant bribery by the MegaDonor Class, continual surveillance and blackmail of politicians by the Deep State, banning stock trading whilst holding office, criminalizing money laundering masked as foreign aid, etc., etc.), I just don’t see how you will ever sufficiently rid a political party including the GOP of ongoing deceit, corruption, and a general failure to keep all campaign promises. Again, please convince me otherwise, but unless/until the $ystem is sufficiently reformed, DeceptiCon Rinos (=99% of GOP reps) and the Uniparty in general will continue to propagate like weeds. That’s why I’m skeptical of this whole “Just get rid of the Rinos” strategy. I mean, pull one Rino weed, and another quickly takes it place. The shock is the rare time a GOP rep actually is a 100% consistent in terms of actions backing their promises. I think Rinos/Uniparty are not the problem, but an inevitable and ongoing bad symptom of the deeper problem of the current $ystem itself. Matt Gaetz (whom I don’t fully trust anymore than any other politician) at least has been one of a few to lay out proposed reforms to the $ystem. I wish we’d hear such from every GOP rep, but of course, why would they want such reforms that would hurt their personal profits???
Again, please convince me my view is wrong, or too pessimistic. It isn’t fun holding to it.

Well, my Lord Jesus said that the love of money is the root of all evil. All evil. Not just some evils. When you apply that to the world, to the Government, well, whaddya know? His simple statement checks out throughout history up to the present. People might cite a lust for power as the root evil, but the thing is, power costs money. You gotta pay your thugs. The only solution is to reduce the size of the Federal Government and reduce the money it takes in. Most of the Departments and Agencies need to be shuttered and the money returned to the States. The Decepticons will leave when there is no money to steal. You will know you have succeeded when K Street is a street of Empty Buildings. CFPB, EPA, NIH, CDECetc need to be closed. All of the remaining Federal Departments should comfortably fit in one building.

But here’s the thing: if you think the root problem/solution is sufficient reforms to the current $ystem which continually breeds Rinos/Uniparty as a symptom, then why would one ever expect the GOP to push for those systemic reforms which would hurt their profits? Where is their incentive to do so?
This is why I at least consider the possibility that a 3rd party with such systemic reforms at the top of their platform agenda–despite the ballot access hurdles–might be the best of the worst options for trying to stop the country from going irreversibly over the cliff.
The needed impetus for breaking off from the GOP and starting a Maga party would probably come if Trump is unsuccessful at overcoming the coming rigging of the 2024 election. Why? Because the State GOP’s, particularly in purple swing states, did little to nothing to legislatively fight for common-sense election process reforms leading up to this election. I don’t primarily blame the Democrats for being the lying cheaters that they are. I blame the feckless and/or complicit Republicans for not contending against it, for not legislatively fighting to safeguard election integrity. Most of the money taken in by the RNC is provided by the donor class and is used to promote the favored candidates of the establishment power structure and maintain control of that structure. All too often we see money raised by big names in the party – McTurtle, McCArthy, etc. spent lopsidedly on their insiders who win primaries and leaving outsider MAGA candidates starving for cash.

The RNC’s PRIMARY function is to advance its agenda of policy initiatives, as layed out in its Platform, which is supposed tobe the unifying document all candidates endorse, in return for which the R party endorses them, andthe rank and file workto get the candidates elected, with the understanding that once elected, those candidates will work to forward the policies layed out in the platform.
In other words, the goal ois to forward the agenda, and the way to do that is by winning elections, SITH CANDIDATES THAT WILL FORWARD THE PLATFORM.

The main problem I see is that the Republican Party has gotten to be far too comfortable being the “loyal opposition” to the Democrats. They make loud noses about opposing the democrat programs and policies then quickly fall in line and vote for the democrat bills. Their only Political Platform is to get along with democrats so they can be part of the “ole boys club” and play the personally highly profitable DC entitlements game as long as possible. I think in general you are mistaken about the degree of “control” the party has on candidates/office holders. In the current environment where campaign financing is key, so much of the money is not from party sources. The traditional party business such as “get out the vote” has largely moved to campaigns’ responsibility.

Funny thing. Yesterday, I was watching Ashleigh Merchant testify and I started thinking about how expensive it must be for Mike Roman. I looked to see if there was a gofundme. Turns out there’s a givesendgo which I was going to donate to but I noticed that the proceeds go to the Dhillon Law Group. What??? And coincidentally (or not), on Tuesday this week, Newsweek ran an article about Mike Roman needing money. Anyway, in my research I found out that Mike Roman is a devout Catholic with 8 kids from Northeast Philadelphia. Now I’m thinking I probably know someone who knows him or at the very least one of his kids. Not that I have a lot to donate, but I should be able to find out where to send some cash directly to him.
I’ve never seen Kharmeet Dillon accomplish anything in California or anywhere else for that matter. The article above gives examples. Unless I am wrong, Henry Barbour is the son of Haley Barbour from Mississippi. Haley is the RINO ex-governor who bought off enough of the other state governors to force Common Core into our schools and onto a path where mediocrity would be a step up. Ronna publicly assigned the two of them to cochair a committee doing a post-mortem of the 2022 disaster (engineered by Ronna!), without even asking Harmeet ahead of time. When Ronna needed more chairman endorsements last January, she added more “co-chairs” as well. Of course the committee went nowhere, because Ronna won’t allow the real culprits to be held accountable. I see all of this up close, and there is zero alliance between Henry and Harmeet. In fact, most members have nothing to do with him, his TDS has been off the charts for awhile. He couldn’t even get 2 members from 10 states to push his hateful, divisive resolutions designed solely to sabotage Trump and new leadership team. Sorry, but if you don’t know who your state chair, national committeman and national committeewoman are, you aren’t really in a position to inform them about what they should do. BTW, since this is a presidential election year state committees/conventions will be electing new national committeemen/women to office term beginning day after the end of the national convention in Milwaukee. Are you a delegate to state convention? Know who is running this year?

There are 2 committeemen and 1 chair per state. Not sure if the GOP.com site has contact info for each member. But each state party website would have the contact info or could be contacted for the contact info for their committeemen/chair.

If that is true, it is very disappointing of Harmeet. Trump’s legal woes should be shared by all conservatives since Trump is just a proxy for conservatism. The lawsuits against him are to defeat the RNC in national elections, to damage the 2024 prospects for the GOP. The Democrat party is using the power of the DOJ and taxpayer money to fund these illegitimate lawsuits, so-called lawfare. It was also the case with the Russian Hoax, the Mueller investigation, and the January 6 committee that Dems have used the funds of the American people to try and undercut Trump and conservatives. When is it enough? When do the Dems pay for their anti-Americanism?
