Today, Chairman Mike Turner shocked the DC system by proclaiming Russians from Outer Space were coming to destroy us. This “deadly Russians” narrative, as sold by Mike Turner, supports: (1) Ukraine funding, (2) FISA reauthorization and the (3) “seven ways to Sunday” Deep State.
WASHINGTON DC – A vague warning by the chair of the House Intelligence Committee about a “serious national security threat” Wednesday is related to Russia’s attempts to develop an antisatellite nuclear weapon for use in space, according to two people familiar with the matter.
While the people did not provide further details on the intel, one of them noted the U.S. has for more than a year been concerned about Russia’s potentially creating and deploying an antisatellite nuclear weapon — a weapon the U.S. and other countries would be unable to adequately defend against.
In his statement Wednesday morning, Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio) said his committee had made available the information about the national security threat and called on the administration to declassify the intelligence so officials and lawmakers could discuss the matter with allies.
It is not clear what prompted Turner to issue the statement now, as the intelligence has been available to leaders of the House intelligence committee and their top aides in a secure room on Capitol Hill for more than a week, one of the people said. Ukraine is not a NATO member. It should not be receiving NATO support.
In an alternate world, such an act would invite the presumption of NATO membership, attaching NATO members to the conflict regardless their individual declarations.
Probably, this alternate scenario is not the case because the objective nation at hand is not in any particularly susceptible posture with respect to the Ukraine “non-NATO NATO” front.
Inferring that, the plausible takeaway from all of this is that the funding being sent to Ukraine is not intended to damage the objective nation but instead bolster some purses in various nooks and corners of the halls of congress and their scheming associates.
The congresscritters get around this by referring to Ukraine as a “NATO ally”.
Ridiculous. At this point, almost all of Congress is a joke.
So, does anyone know why Ukraine is so very important to DC? I believed it was the money, they are all getting kickbacks, etc., but now they are so desperate to send money to Ukraine, I find it not plausible that money is the one and only driver.
So what’s the deal? Do you know that those of us in OK called and wrote and voiced our objections to sending money to Ukraine to Senators Lankford and Mullin. As a result, they voted “No” on the $95b Senate bill.
Then, Mark Wayne Mullin actually sneakily went around to House Republicans trying to get them to side with Democrats to participate in a “discharge” petition to bring that hogwash to the House Floor for a vote. Go around Speaker Johnson to get it pushed out in spite of all the objections.
Why would they be so desperate to get that money to Ukraine? They seeming care about nothing else. They don’t care about Israel, our Southern Border, the national debt, the crime or any of the responsibilities they SHOULD care about.

Just a word of caution. There might be a kernel of truth underneath here. Yes, we are probably being played… BUT the technology for ASATs with either conventional infrared lasers based in space, or more advanced types like X-ray lasers triggered by a small nuclear explosion (obviously single shot) have been talked about/researched for a number of years. A few years before I left my aerospace engineering career in 1988, I hosted Dr. Edward Teller at a dinner talk at Vandenberg AFB at which he discussed the Strategic Defense Initiative that Reagan supported. Among the technologies Teller thought most promising was space-based X-ray lasers. No question that the Russians and Chinese have pursued this, with the benefit of stolen US tech.
Even if it is true that there are now nukes in space, does it matter if one gets killed by a nuke from space or by a hypersonic nuke from a submarine off the East coast?

While Russia and China are working on hypersonic missiles and other powerful weaponry, our government is doing what? Look at some of the government defense contractors with minimal work right now despite supposedly supplying arms to Ukraine and Israel. It doesn’t add up.
The Ruskies have had antisatellite weapons for decades, same as the US.
