The White House released the following statement:
“Today, America’s heart is heavy. Last night, three U.S. service members were killed—and many wounded—during an unmanned aerial drone attack on our forces stationed in northeast Jordan near the Syria border. While we are still gathering the facts of this attack, we know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq.” (LINK)
A few more details are starting to emerge including the number of “many wounded.” According to recent media reports 25 were wounded along with the 3 killed.
Yahoo – “Biden said the United States “will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner our choosing.”
There was no immediate reaction from Jordan, a kingdom bordering Iraq, Israel, the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, Saudi Arabia and Syria.
U.S. troops long have used Jordan as a basing point, and the attack took place in northeast Jordan near the Syrian border. U.S. Central Command said 25 service members were injured the attack in addition to the three killed.
Some 3,000 American troops typically are stationed in Jordan.
Jordanian state television quoted Muhannad Mubaidin, a government spokesman, as insisting the attack happened outside of the kingdom across the border in Syria. The conflicting information could not be immediately reconciled.” (more)

somewhere on this planet, there are american citizens – soldiers probably – who know the truth of what has happened. what was the actual explosive device (the drone story is highly implausible) and where did it actually originate from, and where id it actually hit?

Colonel Douglas McGregor predicted this. American Thinker just did a hit piece on him claiming he spews anti-Semitism and that he should be censored. Suspicious cat is suspicious. Whenever someone wants to shut someone up that’s a red flag for me. I find his opinions to be quite balanced and most of the time very accurate. I listen to him all the time and he has always said he thinks Israel has the right to exist and that he thinks they are going too far and could backfire on them.
I saw red when I read that hit piece. The Colonel is the only one whose analyses/assessments of these mini-wars I trust. He must not sleep much because his sources are in every time zone. Disagreement with Israel does not equate to antisemitism.
I disagree. I think Col. McGregor has been right on the money on Ukraine – one of the few. However, not on Israel and some times he is on shows with people who I would consider definitely anti-Semitic.

Yes, Colonel McGregor is correct Israel’s actions could backfire on them. But he’s not always correct notably concerning the imminent defeat of Ukraine by Russia. That was over a year ago. The Ukraine may indeed lose eventually but they have not lost yet.
My point is, that McGregor may not be right about Israel going too far. Time will tell.
I have absolutely no sympathy for the Palestinians in Gaza. They provide a base of operations, support and aid for Hamas. These are psychopaths (Hamas) that have killed Jews, Arabs and Westerners all over the Middle east and the world will be a better place the sooner they are all dead and in hell. Gaza is reaping what it sowed. They knew what was going to happen did nothing to stop it or warn Israel. This week many may have seen the video that circulated on X of an amphibious landing in broad daylight of 10-15 military aged men in LaJolla CA coming in on an expensive looking boat. LE arrived, watched the whole operation, and did NOTHING. There is another camera angle that clearly showed a vehicle waiting to pick the men up and a number of the men getting in. Another video shows the rest going around the corner and getting picked up by another car. On the audio you can hear one of the bystanders commenting they have seen this expensive boat they use many times just tied up to the shore, but this was the first time the bystander saw the actual invasion. This is obviously a sophisticated operation carried out by people who have a high level of resources and technical expertise to coordinate the operations. These men are not here to pick fruit.
Of note, this area is right next to a major Naval base. We know the Navy has a satellite that picks up anything approaching the US by land, air, or sea for hundreds of miles. They surely saw this boat bringing in these men and chose to stand down. Put another way, it’s clear someone is telling them to stand down. Is it Joe? This is not Gavin Newsom’s call.
Why is Biden deliberately allowing these operatives into the US? What is the Deep State planning? Why is the Navy being told to stand down? It is well known that CA citizens are not allowed to carry guns & LE have been immobilized by the state government, so there are minimal obstacles for the operatives. With the Navy & Coast Guard standing down, now what?
Maybe inducting the massive number/invasion of military aged men could help boost our falling numbers of military recruits? If you come here you have to give 5 years to military service. If you fail to carry out your duties you will be court marshaled after which you will be deported. I am not speaking of high technology positions, although it seems our universities have no problems with this, I am talking about “on the ground troop positions”
The very last thing these invaders have in mind after they get here is “to help boost our falling numbers of military recruits” More likely is to attack Americans and our cities.

Ah, HA! I found out something interesting in reading commentary on this attack.
The US has a formal (approved by the government) presence in Jordan.
The US presence in Syria is illegal – unauthorized. For this reason, anyone can technically target them as local groups exercise their right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter – “the right to individual or collective self-defense”.
So, if the attack was on Jordanian territory, the US has the right to retaliate. But, if the attack was on Syrian territory, the US doesn’t have a leg to stand on because the US forces in Syria are illegal.
That is why Jordan’s statement that the attack was not on Jordan’s territory is so important.

Brought to mind a prior Jordan incident – Nov 4, 2016… 3 Special Forces lost their lives on a training base there. There was a lot of controversy in the press surrounding the details back when, & as to which side was at fault/the aggressor. Seemed fairly obvious, but who knows!

Reports are confirmed that the US has sent at least five KC-135 tanker aircraft to the Middle East. These always accompany the air operations of the US Air Force.
I hope they are packing enough of Duct tape and Bailing wire to keep airborne. KC 135s are getting long in the tooth.
