Not sure of the significance of the $10 & $20 Notes, however, they are old ones known as ‘Demand Notes’ from at least 1950s or older. Above the TEN DOLLARS, it reads “WILL PAY TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND”. These Notes also carried a Notice on the upper left of the face in Caps that reads: “This note is legal tender for all debts public and private and is redeemable in lawful money at the United States Treasury , or at any Federal Reserve Bank.” There was a time when a debt could still be extinguished with substance as a Fed Note is an evidence of debt. The redeemability quality of early Notes facilitated “payment” to extinguish a debt rather than to merely ‘discharge the debt in equity’ as happens with current Fed Notes that display “This note is legal tender for all debts public and private” on the upper left.
What’s important isn’t just that it’s $47. It’s that he’s suggesting he’ll PAY to have someone take the shot.

Same is true for the $1 Silver Certificates [technically not a Note or evidence of debt] that were closer to warehouse receipts with a quality of redeemability for the substance it represented. Possibly there was no added significance to the selection of those bills, but they’re not in common circulation today.

Looking at the signatures visible on the $10 bill, as Treasurer you see Ivy Baker Priest, who served from 1953 to 1/29/1961. Looking at the Secretary of the Treasury, you see Robert B. Anderson, who served from 7/29/1957 to 1/29/1961. Both left after JFK’s inauguration on 1/20/1961.
Those two signatures were ONLY together on Eisenhower’s 1950-B series $10 bills – not Kennedy’s 1950-C series (currency dates have weird overlaps, but the preceding is correct).
Those $10 bills were signed with the LAST signatures of non-JFK appointees, and issued both, during and, for a short time, after JFK’s inauguration.
