Ron DeSantis has dropped out of the 2024 Republican primary.
The career diminished Florida Governor is trying to save face and has endorsed Donald Trump. The announcement comes at 02:20 of the video below. WATCH:

The next few days will be fraught with demands to unite the clans. However, please remember the proven and demonstrably accurate axiom: Never Trust a Never Trumper.
The Ron DeSantis campaign was built upon a foundation of fraud. Long planned as an effort to destroy the threat that MAGA represents to the Republican apparatus, nothing about the DeSantis campaign was grassroots, authentic, natural or real. The Sea Island organized campaign was a specific and detailed approach driven by the professional political class. Ron DeSantis was a vessel, a willing vessel, for the deliberate schemes and Machiavellian intents of the worst elements in USA Republican politics.
WE CANNOT UNITE with that group. Think about it.

Griffin tried to buy the 2022 Illinois governor election by running a BLM Democrat mayor of Aurora, Illinois in the Republican primary. I believe he funneled around $30 million to Richard Irvin. He was overwhelmingly rejected. I know a good America First conservative could never win Illinois but you don’t have to let outright Democrats run your party.

Most of us can see that coming. I am still glad that this hasty run by DeSantis opened up a lot of people’s eyes. Under scrutiny, no Narrative (built-up fantasy, in DeSantis’s case) can survive.
However, the way he bowed out is least harmful to himself (for his future, plenty in Republican party still think highly of him) and to MAGA/MAGA’s clear choice (Trump).
For that, Trump will show magnanimous and graciousness. I just don’t think Ron DeSantis earned trust from Trump and/or MAGA yet.
I also want to point out that DeSantis DID NOT endorse Trump like he truly believes Trump is the best candidate, he said clearly MAGA chose Trump and not him.
Hence his earlier reference that a lot of Trump base went to him to say they would support a DeSantis run in 2028.

And I’ll just say: This is the first time in a long time that DeSantis has actually seemed relaxed and somewhat “real” in any of his public statements. I see relief, is what it looks like to me. And the fact that he dropped out NOW instead of after NH, that’s gotta help Trump and hurt Haley on Tuesday. And that will likely mean the primaries are almost certainly over even before SC.
So anyway, nope we’ll never again trust you, Ron, and you most certainly will have NO place in the Trump administration… but yeah, we’ll take it.

The next question about the NeverTrump candidate food processing chain concerns where and how Trikki Nikki moves on from here. I can’t see how she could possibly justify staying in the race after she gets trounced in SC. I’m just curious what Haley will do after Trump officially wins the nomination.
IMHO, she will be held as a Plan B if the GOPe succeeds in denying Trump the nomination through some other means such as a rule change before the convention which does not allow a person who is under criminal indictment to become the Republican nominee.
I just think about all the promises he made while campaigning against Trump. He made a promise to Donald Trump not to run against him for president. Trump was his benefactor, saved his run for governor of Florida from certain disaster. How did he repay President Trump’s help and kindness? By backstabbing him. If he cannot keep his word to an ally who saved him from defeat, will he keep his word to us? Not likely. In the future, he will not be able to be elected dog catcher, stick a fork in his treacherous backside, he is done!
There are plenty of things to dislike about DeSantis but it was the using/backstabbing that offended me the most. Trump said DeSantis BEGGED for the endorsement, and I think everyone acknolwedges that DeSantis would have lost without the endorsement. Users are losers.

People called him “great” because he made the progressives mad. Which is, to be honest, one of the easiest things a man can do in life. It’s a pretty low bar for greatness, if you ask me.
He began his term as Governor in 2019 while the nation was feeling the best of Trump’s influence as President. Riding the crest of the wave, so to speak. He only became Governor with the help and influence coming from Trump, and even at that, his first term victory was incredibly close. Clearly there’s a substantial number of Floridians who didn’t want him elected. Simply put, he’s not been a great governor.
